This is the #1 issue I take with European philosophers. If anyone has ever read Hegel or Heidegger, their language is absurdly obtuse. And the moment you point out that they're doing poetry instead of philosophy and insist on clear terms, they criticize you for being too analytical. Not kidding, in one philosopher group I've been accused of being an engineer instead of a philosopher because I insisted on clarity. Guess who showed up with a hard hat next time...
