I know you're probably being facetious but they're probably going to ask what medication he's currently on and how much he has been taking and he will probably have to continue taking them. From what I've seen he must've been taking mountains of the shit so I don't even know how they deal with that.

ChatGPT says tapering for xanax can take weeks or months but they can switch to longer lasting benzos.

It depends what type of "rehab" it is. If its just some sort of group therapy shit then I don't know how they deal with it. But if they do detox also then he's gonna have to taper the medication or he could literally die. I don't see how a "rehab" clinic would allow him to go cold turkey. When people talk about "group therapy" and that kind of shit they may be thinking of the wrong kind of rehab clinic.

All I have heard for certain is that getting addicted to benzos (and ambien is probably similar) in the first place is true hell on earth purely because of how difficult it is to recover from it.

edit: when he says "but I'll be out for at least 15 days next week and maybe 30, depends on their analysis and treatment" it sounds more like a detox than rehab kind of a deal. There's literally zero chance his body would even be clear of benzos within 2 weeks so there's no point in doing talk/group therapy sessions.

Seriously. This is just part of his manipulation cycle, which we've seen play out six times now. After haha-suicide baiting he now goes to "I'm gonna get clean!" to get dopamine hits from people feeling sorry for him.

Then he will give up booze for a few weeks, while still abusing the drug he has said is his first love (benzos) and parading around his "sobriety." He's a manipulative addict who has shown no inclination to dig himself out. He thrives on people's pity at this stage of his womanly cycle.

I'm not an expert but he's very clearly highly dependent on and heavily abusing Xanax and Ambien to the point that if he just suddenly stopped using them he'd die.

If it's an inpatient detox then they won't bother testing him, he'll just get given smaller amounts each day (tapering) until he can go off of them. They'll probably give him other medication to help. If they stop cold turkey (they won't) he'll die or at the very least have super extreme side effects from withdrawal.

If he's an alcoholic too then he has to be medicated if he stops cold turkey, but it depends how much of an alcoholic he is.

I would be surprised if he does anything more than sleep most of the day or maybe watch some TV. Depending on the facility he might be mixed in with people who are coming off of amphetamines, alcohol, going through acute psychosis and all sorts of weird shit. Although its possible he's paying for a service that is like 1 on 1 to him, but at $900 it doesn't sound like it.

"rehab" is more of the group therapy kind of shit and they wouldn't even bother with that shit with someone who is still actively using the drug because their emotions/everything are still going to be impacted by it.

I think what sets Ralph apart is his inability to admit the truth about himself, and that prevents him from really starting to get to the bottom of his substance abuse. Even in his most recent screed about Dax and Harry Morris, after criticizing the two of them he says: "I'm a bit selfish, to be sure. But this is on another level."

Yet again Ralph downplays his own misdeeds, his own callous and evil behavior - threatening to kill women, making his children cry, releasing revenge porn, cheating on his pregnant child bride, trying to force her into being the bottom bitch of his harem... - as nothing in comparison to Dick. When in actuality, he is a monster.

Then there is the anger at people, Ralph calls Harry a piece of shit... Ralph claims to love his kids, yet can't comprehend why Harry would treat him like he did for what he did with Meigh. Despite this he now claims Harry was trying to get Dax to wrangle him, for Ralphs own sake! How is he unable to join the dots on this - I think the reason he can't is because in doing so he needs to admit he was at fault. It's the same reason he can't even give an unabashed apology for the revenge porn, he still couches it in a response to Faith shit talking him.

There is something really pathological about this, and unless Ralph can truly start to introspect about his life he will never be clean.
