What I love about the big time cows like Gunty and DSP are there inability to make sound financial decisions. They claim intellectual superiority over all who question them, and yet make the most deadbeat financial decisions one could possibly make. DSP thankfully got away with bankruptcy fraud but it is still obvious he lives paycheck to paycheck because of his addictions.
Ralph is very much in the same boat. But let's face it, as long as these people have a handful of wheelchairs who willingly prop up their piggy lord and masters they don't have to worry too much. Being a deadbeat living with Momma until 34 gave Ralph a surprisingly small (given income and years) savings cushion when the Faith/Pantsu whirlwind started. He was still pulling in a decent monthly streaming income too, after a few years of some signficant windfall gaymergate income. If he wasn't a total financial retard, and an drunkard/addict, he could have pulled off a nice standard of living, in the first world, at this juncture with just some common sense financial decisions, not even planning, just stop being a retard. Instead Gunt does what he does best, he doubled down on being a retard.
All he needed to do, even before knocking up two different women, was just be an non-retard adult. Bite the bullet and start making token payments to his student loan debt (paying relatively insignificant amounts towards these things would have done wonders for his credit rating. His terrible credit has cost him far more than any token debt repayments ever could. He might have unpaid debts from his ER trips and other schemes, but I figured his credit has been so terrible for so long he's been somewhat limited in the debt damage he could inflict on himself for the last decade. He also would have needed to tackle his tax problems with a similar repayment plan. His tax issue would cost more, but trying to avoid taxes in the same way he has tried to dodge his retail debt, has only ensured his "career" is the online equivalent of the roadside guy with a "need money for food" sign and always will be. The short term costs of tackling these problems would have reaped much, much larger long term benefit and profits.
I do want to know when he got that loan from Stripe.
I'd almost bet it was right before the trip to Rome. Ralph went from a depressed man after his failed wrassle event and a spite marriage in Vegas, to suddenly announcing a spur-of the moment, very, very poorly planned, trip to Rome. Isn't access to a $15k from stripe the perfect explanation for it?
This probably isn't the first stripe loan he's gotten. Stripe, via Celtic Bank, started offering loans around Oct. 2019 and they have 18 month pay off periods. If this is the case he would have known the second his old loan was paid off, or he could pay off the balance early just to access a new loan. However, in the past year some other fintec companies have partnered with stripe to offer similarly structured loans (at higher rates to riskier applicants, but same as stripe with no credit check and deducted from income processed by stripe), so I guess it could be via one of these companies too.

Of course, he also might have got it after the Italy trip and needed it thanks to being depleted from the trips, but it seems more likely he took a very ill advised trip in the first place thanks to a sudden cash influx. If he's gotten the loans before I think it's safe to assume he gets another as soon as the previous one is paid off.
I won't be surprised if he eventually gets banned from stripe because of his debt to them. These are probably the only loans Gunt has ever fully repaid in his life because if he doesn't pay them back then he can't get any donations at all. This does explain why he keeps dragging his miserable mug on stream with zero content or effort. The mindset of a whale will always baffle me.
