I expect Ralph to starts antagonizing what little family May has very soon. He doesn't have a single soul left that gives a crap about him or cares if he gambles away diaper money, smokes with the newborn in the house and engages in outright reckless behavior. He will not tolerate somebody "meddling in his affairs" via May extension unless it directly benefits him. So if May's family starts giving them advises such as buy a crib or get car seat or stop gambling they will soon be declared new blood enemies. It is inevitable and as such will be the confirmation that May does in fact have a family or is as alone in this world as Ralph is. If he doesn't sperg out about them my only conclusion will be that they are so estranged that they also don't give a crap about her.

With Ralph nobody can have even the most restrained family relations.

Those first couple of months with a newborn are the most trying, with regular feedings and an irregular sleep schedule, about every two to three hours. Given how Ethan is one of the most impatient and demanding fuckers I’ve seen on the internet in streaming circles, I don’t see how he’ll last more than a week, unless he’s left alone to his own devices entirely, which is probably what he expects. I like to think when the pregnancy arc began, her family started to notice a certain lack of "expectant dad" behavior and started to anticipate shitty behavior, which tickled their parental instincts.
