I actually didn’t realize he could take streams down after the fact. Which makes it even more bizarre that he left up some embarrassing pillstreams. I guess Ralph don’t scare (unless he commits a crime)
 
Yeah he’s taking way more than the 10 mg/day he admits to, that’s addict/alcoholic behavior 101. He’s built up a tolerance and guaranteed he’s eating them like candy (the m&ms he loves so much) and he’ll keep eating them as long as they’re in the house. Until they’re gone, then he’ll get more, and repeat. An alcoholic addict like Ralph in a place where his preferred substance is plentiful and cheap is a disaster waiting to happen.
 
10mg of alprazolam a day is a typical plateau for addicts, so Ralph's habit isn't fresh.

The above interests me, because there are pretty good clinical reasons not to use lorazepam to ease the symptoms of alprazolam withdrawal, on the pharmacodynamics alone clonazepam would be better suited if substitution was necessary. I bet Ralph is presenting himself as having severe anxiety and was looking to get his dosage increased and the physician suggested lorazepam as an alternative to increasing his dosage, which would upset any addict who can't make his monthly prescription last. I bet he didn't get the increase he was after.

I particularly like his "some don't get the withdrawal syndrome" , something about that irrational hope that there won't be any consequences that fits Ralph like a glove. 10mg of Xanax a day for months is going to start damaging white brain matter and it isn't going to ever get better. I mean Pathologists can identify a long term alcoholic by brain damage alone, adding Xanax to that only makes worse by like, a factor of 10.
 
I can't tell if the pills and alcohol are making him worse or if they are preventing him from exploding on camera

Its affects can take up to 1 hour to kick in and it only lasts for 2 maybe 3 hours.

Sounds like a stupid drug to get addicted too.

I've only known a few people who could get anywhere close to 10 mg a day. But to be fair, they were all probably at least 1/2 the weight of Ralph. I'm not sure if weight is a factor with xannie tolerance tho.

It lasts a lot longer and kicks in a lot quicker if the user is mixing it with hard alcohol. I wonder if Ralph is doing that....
