Watching the cop spend an inordinate amount of time trying to wrap the seatbelt around the gunt and fastening is hilarious. Legitimately took him more than a minute.

Also LOL at the one bald cop who was very clearly annoyed with Ralph in that lobby.

I've made a map to explain Ralph's potential movements at the airport that night and come up with a theory about what happened.

The super-8 motel Ralph was at is located about half a mile or so from the airport and its possible for someone cheap enough or broke enough to walk that distance. And if you walk it without really understanding the lay-out of the airport, the road and the lights will tend to lead you to the baggage pick-up building. Hutsteiner drive splits before you get to the main part of the airport and one way leads to the ticket counters while the other way leads to baggage claim.

Lets say Ralph was drunk and cheap and broke. Lets say Ralph starts walking toward the airport, goes the wrong way at the Hutsteiner drive split and ends up at baggage claim. There is little to tell you how to get to the ticket counters at baggage claim. Ralph being lost and confused and in the wrong place would make ralph both rageful and willing to talk to rando people at baggage claim. Ralph being drunk would not make those conversations go well.

And so Ralph gets louder and gets into a fight and someone (probably one of the people at the airline baggage desks) calls one of the county law enforcement people typically stationed on the road in front of baggage claim to come inside and deal with the with the situation. The law enforcement people on that (typically night) duty are often bored out of their minds with nothing to do and fucking with an idiot like Ralph for a few hours would be entertainment to them.

The theory explains why Ralph was at baggage claim when he was going to fly out that night. It also explains why his ragepig mode would have activated getting him arrested.
