I didn't even notice my join date was pink.
I heard of Kiwi Farms for a long time, finally took a look at it when the Kris Tyson drama popped off, got invested, and now I'm here. I also love internet forums and wish there were more active ones out there.
Additionally, I really like how countercultural KF is and the community here. Whenever I get upset at others for their abhorrent views, I just remember that there are people on KF who got my back, and that there is a space on the internet where not all is lost.

Yep, I was pleasantly surprised to find just a regular format internet forum be this active in the current year. Over the years I've seen internet forums I was in die a slow death with Q&A sites (stackoverflow/stackexchange), Reddit and alt chans taking their place. I'd pretty much accepted they were a thing of the past nearly a decade ago when I begrudgingly joined reddit for some tech stuff I needed help with.

The machine would realize that the problem of men is man itself. I know this is a concept done to death in all stories, but I'm genuinely convinced of it.

Funnily enough, the one evil AI trope character that I actually like is AM who is ironically way more human than most others of his kind. Honestly just love how petty and hateful he's written.

Well, because the quality of the content posted here is (marginally) higher than 4chan, and instead of getting banned for 3 days for something stupid people will just tear you to shreds and hold you accountable for your actions. Also, while I'm not someone who cares about building an online "persona", it's nice to kinda make acquaintances here and recognize people. This is probably one of the last semi-traditional forums still standing that isn't a wasteland.

I would stick around for a few weeks each time but the regulars back then were a bit too autistic for me. With the great political purge of 2016 onwards and the general dying of the old Internet I made my first account. Then I would forget the password or lose access to whatever disposable e-mail I used to register with.
