As the thread implies, this is a place for pitches/ideas for certain projects that may need help or ideas to potentially bounce around. Advice from one user to another is always welcome and feel free to post updates on said projects. I'll start as I have an idea for a potential webcomic, though I doubt it will be off the ground for at least a few weeks to a month. It is sci-fi where an astronaut crashes on an alien planet and does what they can to get their ship ready and leave back home while helping out the citizens of the planet from evil creatures wreaking havoc.

Wouldn't any project ultimately be power leveling and unmask the creator if it has any commercial success?
It could be considered PL-ing but unmasking the creator shouldn't be too much of a hassle since A) we're mostly anonymous and B) I doubt many people or companies really care about the project developments being on here

A) we're mostly anonymous
Well yes, but that's what power leveling is, the more information you reveal the easier it is for autism to figure out who you are.

B) I doubt many people or companies really care about the project developments being on here
Companies and the majority of people probably don't care, but we don't live in a world in which that matters as a small gaggle of retards can fuck things up massively. There's a reason this site and the glorious Null father can't have a bank account, why NP2 failed, why Destiny was banned from Twitch, and so on. It's not because there was some grand conspiracy or that any of them did something exceptionally fucked up, it's just that a small group of retards can cause a lot of damage thanks to how utterly fucked the system is. Maybe it's getting better, but just be realistic about what kind of tard fest you're getting yourself into.

I'm not saying you can't be successful as known entity on here, it's just that you need to be cognizant of what's to come.

I more or less thought of this similar to the post your art thread, but with more elaborate projects and people can feel free to post as little or as much as they want. And there's no doubt retards will try to fuck with you for being on here, but if you do the project for fun and don't give a shit, there's not much they can do. If you're doing it for the grift/shekels, then you will really hurt posting here. So it really depends on whether or not people want to post about ideas, concept art, progress, etc.

I think this could work as a "Thing I'd like to make but will probably never happen" thought exercise but anything else is not really suited for the Farms.

In that spirit, here's a game idea I had: You play this dude who moves into a small seaside town where everything is solved through puzzle games. Match 3, jigsaws, the hacking minigame from Bioshock, shit like that. You have to get a job and foster relationships, which is represented through those games. You also frequently gets texts from a helper offering advice. Say, encouraging you to do an extra errand for your landlord so your rent gets knocked down a little, or telling you to avoid dating the mayor's daughter and a policewoman at the same time.

As the game goes along, it's revealed that your texts are coming from a real person: Your handler. You're actually an agent working for a corporation trying to decipher the mystery of magic. The jobs you can get? All related to sites where magic has been reported. The four women you can romance? The mayor's daughter, a cop, a librarian into local history, and a woman who may be a witch herself, all of whom you've been plying for information. The other tasks it sends you on? All about investigating possible leads in your quest.

At this point your love interest discovers the truth and you have the option to either go along with the plan or fuck over the people paying you for this investigation, by taking the magic for yourself and using it to protect the town from the other agents coming. If you choose to do the noble thing, it's revealed that the entire time, your character was lying to the love interest and everyone else and had no intention of being a good guy. You hand over the magic, take your money, and go off to an island paradise while that town you fell in love with and wanted to protect is now being ruined in the name of profit.

I think it could be a fun spin on the "Illusion of choice" type of gameplay by revealing that there really never was any choice in the matter.

An idea I've toyed around with for a while is cyberpunk from the amish perspective. The idea that the whole planet is a city or something like that is just so ridiculous on its face that I can't help but wonder what things look like elsewhere. Amish drug-running is a real phenomenon, so maybe you could collect it like that.

Evolution is overrated, I just want to get to the Nigger Moment phase where we use our fight moves.
It’s not evolution, it’s technically disability. Characters have welfare instead of HP. The final form is the result of certain conditions. Leave one in the daycare too long and produce too many kids? It evolves. Too many roids? A Jewish studio exec borrows it for a minute?

Nigger Moments are gym battles, but you steal money and a key item.

So I'm working on chapter 2 of a Euphoria fanfiction, and I'm having a hard time figuring where to go, plot-wise. If this was your story, what would you have happen next? This isn't so much a "please tell me what to write" type thing, I just want to know where other people think it's going. Some people criticized it for not having enough action to justify 2500 words.

The biggest problem you'll run into is simply who you are, unless you happen to have very close friends/family that are a part of it. Being insular is part of their doctrine and unless you know elders personally, your research won't get very far, or it will be very dull. Even then I would expect the most "content creation" they'd be on board with is audio or the written word. Shit like that Amish Mafia TV show is kind of just incompatible with their real beliefs. It's also really helpful to remember they're not stupid or ignorant, they largely know what they opt out of. I like this stupid movie's surprisingly good portrayal:

Should have worded that better. I meant what the amish would be doing within the cyberpunk story. The noiry protagonist who hates The City has to grapple with the fact that he can just leave if he wants, and there are plenty of people who already have. I'm not nearly mean enough to inflict modern story tropes on actual amish people.

I get what you mean it's a really cool idea. I tend to get a bit autistic and exhaustive with researching stuff so it was just a thought that popped into my head. If you consider their philosophies and how they pretty much diametrically oppose transhumanism it's a really rich theme for exploration. Like imagine the "normal" people with uploaded consciousness in robobodies freaking out about the "genocide" being inflicted by Jethro and his blessed railgun. In Jethro's eyes these are machines that manifest the devil and run on human souls.

This is exactly it, but you aren't going far enough. That at least gives the robopeople something to latch on to, they have an evil that they can point at and fight. If some of the robopeople have been persuaded and are working with Jethro from within, then you have a complicated problem. Cyberpunk often has this idea of layering things up, either bureaucracy or a city itself, until people forget what's really holding everything up. I like to imagine that deep deep down, Jethro ultimately supplies the ingredients for Deckard's noodle soup. Punk is all about the discarded boundaries of things rising up to reassert themselves, but the problem is that it's written by people who think meat comes from grocery stores.
