If you don't condone Jessica Quin's actions, I'm sorry to say that the threat of harassment and ridicule is counter-productive if it's supposed to be punishment. Garnering vitriol is what they live for, and they have no interest in being treated with respect by the communities they tailor to. It's apparent the line between troll and cyber-bully is blurred here. Jessica's a troll/cyber-bully to Chris, and a troll to the rest of us. Making threads and posts in relation to JQuinn is feeding the troll. If the troll sees no response to what they do, they'll be disappointed when there's no payoff. This, unfortunately, leans on the Slippery Slope logical fallacy— it is still possible for trolls to keep trying after they've been ignored; however, if they never see a reaction, they'll never win. Ignoring their existence is the best punishment to what they're doing. If someone comes forward with a dump of messages between Cwc and JQuin, don't release it, and all that work the troll did will have gone to waste. Giving them any acknowledgment will encourage more to come to get the same satisfaction, again, and again, and again.
I realize what I'm saying is "don't update the cwcki with troll sagas," and that can't be a popular suggestion. Chris does a good job of giving the trolls a snack on his own, but if you want them barred out of an all-you-can-eat buffet, I don't know what else to tell you.
Some of you are saying that cyber-bullying isn't wrong or illegal, and depending on what the action is, I can see that. I don't think making fake accounts, pretending to get hacked, and blaming it on kiwifarms should be illegal, but, to use a commander keen filter for profanity— it's garg. It reinforces cwc's misconception that you're out to harm him, and that's not the case, is it? I think your only intent is to observe Chris left to his own devices, and that generous gift package after the fire was a positive gesture. This Quinn character has shown that they do not care about kiwifarms by using it as an easy distraction for him. That's a low blow, because it looked like cwc has been warming up to his true "fanbase" lately, and in one act of garg, you've been relegated back to Teh Ebil Twolls to be cursed with misfortunes.
I've seen a lot of comments that Anna and I are enablers, or actively bad for Chris. I can't pretend to be completely guilt-free in this, but the grim reality is, nobody can help someone that doesn't want to help themselves. Chris does not listen to what he doesn't want to hear. What he does listen to is how to make a living from drawing Sonichu, and it's a way to make him feel like he has a job doing something that makes him happy. When he wants more from his life than that, he's in for a world of disappointment when it's obvious that he'll be forced to make an effort for it. I'm not a miracle worker, and Anna said it's not her job to make Chris improve, but if it's someone's job here to be a professional miracle worker, I welcome advice, or assistance, or something, but I can't make promises. And I don't even mean that as some sarcastic challenge; it's fairly obvious that Chris needs nothing less than miracles. Anna has made it clear that she has zero interest in Kiwifarms, and Chris, well, that thread of his is all you need to see.
I don't want to single out whoever PM'd me, so I won't show it unless they want it to be seen. All I can say is it really didn't confirm anything and upon asking him about it, it was really just self-assessed conjecture from an observer.
