Lmaooooo yeah DespairKomaeda is exactly who I thought of!
Were they the Komaeda kin who lied about cutting off their finger or was that someone else?
Not sure about the finger (I don't think I've heard that story before?) but I'm pretty sure that was someone else.
DespairKomaeda was infamous for going around and lying and emotionally manipulating a shitton of people and constantly encouraging people they disliked to hurt and kill themselves in addition to just generally threatening them. They posted a story about how they used to go to an all-girls school and CONSTANTLY jerked off and had sex at school at the tender age of 13-14, and said their girlfriend (who I don't think even existed?) raped them and they raped her back and beat her. He had some weird fucking fetishes too. I had been one of the first people to discover their NSFW blog and share their posts about FtM Komaeda sitting on Hinata's face and forcing him to eat his piss and menstrual blood and how they tried to eat their cell phone because they got off to that apparently. DespairKomaeda is probably the quintessential edgy, lying, manipulative, cringy chuuni fictionkin Tumblr user and it's a bit disappointing that everyone was shit at archiving and there's nothing but assorted screenshots and anecdotes among a sea of long-deleted 2013 Danganronpa blogs. I wonder where they are now....

I don't know much about DID but isn't the person supposed to be unaware of their other personalities or have no control of which personality they are at the moment?
Yes. Psychologists argue over if it's even real and it doesn't even have an actual consistent definition, but dissociative amnesia is one of the few generally agreed upon characteristics of it. I still remember a post years ago on Tumblr of someone with "self diagnosed DID" asking "why do people say your alters have to not know each other to actually have DID? Some of us have alters that get along very well!" Fuckers can't even bother to read the WebMD or Wikipedia article for it. It's not hard to find the information and criteria from the DSM V itself either.

:powerlevel:I had been like this when I was a stupid teenager on Tumblr many years ago. I knew fully that I didn't have DID or any sort of "plurality" but said I did so I could fit in. I wonder how many of these people know it's bullshit but enjoy the attention too much?
This is also giving me whiplash of all the constant useless drama that happened then as well, hah.:powerlevel:

This, and only this, is a singlet

Stop misusing words

It's really simple, if you're a white dude there's almost no protection and you can get fired at will.

However, if you claim to have a mental disability in combination with a unique sexual orientation/gender identity/gender expression it becomes much harder to fire you. Especially in places like California where the state code is more extensive than the federal one.

YouTube is also a great site to find plurals acting out on camera.
This user System K has 28 alters. All of them have different accents and personalities. Her girlfriend and the rest of her family are playing along with her.

Yo wait a minute. Those subtitles keep mentioning "littles". Is this deranged and questionably aged person in a BDSM relationship?

Imagine thinking this is a burn or insult. Imagine try act like you are anyway superior or better then normal people. Imagine being this much of a faggot.

I love this because unlike cis and straight, which were words with actual definitions even if you use them as insults as tumblr is prone to, "singlet" is literally a word invented by attention whores pretending to have a severe mental illness in order to demean people who don't have or pretend to have the mental problems.

It's literally an insulting slur they pulled out of their asses and they're trying to pull the "bloo bloo bloo cis and straight aren't slurs you oppressive shitlords a bloo bloo" thing.

dissociative anemia is also listed as a totally separate disorder from DID

,

multiple personality disorder is the common term for one type of dissociative disorder, now referred to in clinical settings asdissociative identity disorder. This term came into use around 1994, in the DSM-IV, to describe a better understanding of multiple personality disorder and other, similar disorders.

A dissociative disorder is a mental disturbance believed to be caused by severe, repeated early childhood trauma, which has led the individual to disconnect, or dissociate, from reality in certain specific ways. The dissociation events lead to “blackouts,” or periods of time that the individual cannot remember. This causes lack of continuity in personality traits, actions, sense of identity, and thoughts.

The current psychological theory about the cause of dissociative disorders involves extensive experience of trauma, typically as a child, before the individual’s personality has been solidified. Some type of dissociation is common among all adults, including neurotypical adults, and it is believed to be a mental coping mechanism to divide traumatic events and normal mental functioning. However, with extensive trauma, the brain dissociates a good deal of the individual’s life from “normal” brain functioning, and any level of real or perceived trauma, including highly emotional events or minor traffic accidents, can trigger a dissociating event.

Dissociative disorders are misrepresented in popular culture and difficult to diagnose in a clinical setting. In media, multiple personality disorder is often mixed up with schizophrenia, but the clinical criteria for these two disorders are very different. In a therapy setting, people with any dissociative disorder, including dissociative identity disorder, are typically misdiagnosed with several comorbid conditions, including bipolar disorder, panic disorder, somatic disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, antisocial personality disorder, and more. Although these disorders can co-occur with dissociative disorder, the root causes are the problems with dissociation.

Dissociative disorders are not uncommon among the general population, particularly in the United States and Canada. These are believed to occur in 1-7 percent of the population, and they occur more often in women than men.

The Mayo Clinic’s website reports that theDSM-5 and the American Psychiatric Association recognize three major dissociative disorders.

Types of Dissociative Disorders
There are three primary types of dissociative disorders currently recognized by medical professionals.

  1. Dissociative Amnesia:
This is the most common type of dissociative disorder. The primary symptoms are extensive forgetfulness and loss of time, which cannot be explained by general forgetfulness, substance abuse, or a medical condition. This is a blank spot in the individual’s memory, during which they cannot remember events that occurred or conversations they had.

This condition can occur due to specific traumatic events like intense combat or sexual abuse. An amnesic episode can last for minutes or hours, although less typically, the period can last for days, weeks, or months. Some instances have occurred over years, but this is extremely rare. Longer periods of dissociative amnesia can be accompanied by dissociative fugue, which involves wandering away from the individual’s current life and participating in other experiences.

  2. Depersonalization/Derealization Disorder:
This condition is characterized by consistent, ongoing, or episodic emotional and experiential detachment from events in a person’s life. People who struggle with this disorder describe the sensation as watching their feelings, thoughts, and actions from outside themselves, as though watching a movie. Other people describe the experience as feeling like they were in a foggy, dreamlike state and that the world around them was not real. Symptoms can last anywhere from minutes to years.

  3. Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID):
Although all dissociative conditions were at one time lumped together as multiple personality disorder (MPD) and can be part of MPD, dissociative identity disorder is the current term used when referring to classic symptoms of multiple personality disorder. Dissociative identify disorder involves the formation of at least one other personality, originally referred to as split personality disorder, but involves on average of 3-16 “alters.” Some documented cases have involved over 100 alternate personalities.

Trannies...It's always trannies...

So anyways, if they're claiming that age is an social construct, are there any pedos in this community?

Speaking of that, you often find systems where there are prepubescent kids who are trans, genderspecial in some other way or have very complex gender identities made up of dozens of tumblr buzz words. I wish I could remember the person I probably posted about it way back on Stamina Rose. But there was a self diagnosed DID I found who had a score of underage alters with every sexuality, pronoun and gender identity that could come out of tumblr. Several girls that were age 9-10 who were trans, autistic, non-binary ect... and were very sensitive about their pronouns and body parts.

And you really have to wonder. If you have a bunch of alters who are underage and you make up the excuse that it's ok be it's your alter and you can naturally age shift mentally, then I'd say that you are likely harboring some pedo tendencies when those alters are children with sexual identities.

It's no surprise that these people all look disgusting. Irenes there needs to wash his damn hair. It's like a male pattern baldness grease factory. Wash your damn face once in awhile too. That's some major shiny forehead. This guy must sweat Big Macs. I can smell his sweaty grease stains from here.

Are plurals different from Tuplas?

Yes because plurals/headmates all live inside the persons head (allegedly) and this manifests in roleplaying as these separate "people" but tulpas are imaginary friends + visual hallucinations, and the person with a tulpa treats the tulpa like you would any imaginary friend, a different person with its own "body" whereas the "headmates" all just share a body.
