Mr. Bing is looking for free gifts from his followers in order to celebrate the 6-month birthday of one of his alters. Incredible.

I have a cousin who suffers from severe schizophrenia so seeing these use people jokingly play with such severe disorders makes me

Hearing voices or having multiple personalities isn't cute or fun, it can literally ruin your life.
You know, I was looking to see if there's an subreddit for this and there is one. Although it's pretty dry.

But the good news is that they debunked the tumblrina headmates with this: https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/42df2b/eli5_how_is_being_multisystem_and_having/

Oh god plurals.

I remember that on tumblr, a lot of content creators and artists were getting incredibly pissed at plurals, because they would just outright steal other people's IP and claim it's theirs. For example, and Artist draws a comic about Keko the Barbarian Blue Boar. A plural would come along and go 'hey, Keko lives in my head now. You aren't representing him properly. Here's how he REALLY is. If you got a problem with that you're a bigot. He's mine now.'

There would be kids who would see a new disney movie and BAM, one of the character's shows up in their head.

Content creators got pissed enough that the Plural community had to pull inwards to avoid getting dogpiled all the time. So they sat in their own little echo chamber corner where it got worse and worse and we got this shit today.

I know this because a few of my characters got used like that and it's INCREDIBLY unsettling and creepy.

I dunno if they were trying to get collect mental illnesses like pokemon but they sure are in need of some serious help.

Well what happened was at the time I was working on coding a MUD for a fantasy/western style text based game, a little on the silly side but hey, it was really fun to play around with code. It was a single person project and I wanted to see how far I could go with it.

I made a bunch of NPC characters, drawing a lot of concept art and writing profiles on them since I was going to have them get involved in quests. These characters were pretty varied and based off a lot of different fantasy creatures. The most notable was a female wampus cat sheriff and a reverse femme fatal ababinili guy who was a drug dealer. (ababinili are fire spirits, picture a fire guy in a western duster). A lot of characters, a lot of them 'pretty' you could say.

After posting story snippets and art, a person contacted me to tell me that my wampus cat had moved into their head and said i wasn't writing her character correctly. They wanted to offer me 'tips'

All. of my whats.

I went on their blog and they took no less than three of my characters to aid in their delusion. Not only were they saying that I was writing them wrong, but now they owned the characters because the characters didn't want to be with me anymore. All sorts of REALLY creepy shit. Once in a while they'd 'front' and pretend to be characters that I invented.

So I told them they need to stop pretending and go seek professional help, and of course they got super pissed and said I was privileged for being a 'singlet'. So I DMCA'd their blog and it got deleted, forcing them to go the fuck outside for a little bit. I nuked the project from orbit I was so creeped out by it.

So that's why I am forever creeped out by 'multiples.

That's a sad story. I'm lucky, I think, that nothing like that ever happened to me. I'm not sure how I'd react if a sick person tried to integrate my work into their fantasy.

I've always wondered if Lucas introduced midichlorians to "de-mystify" the Force because of the nuts who claim to be Jedi. It's still terrible storytelling, but I can understand the impulse.

I can't remember if it was otherkin or early purlas, but I do remember a number of the writers of White Wolf's Old World of Darkness getting emails from crazy people saying that they got so much stuff right in the Channeling book. The writers pointed at the emails saying "This is why we put warnings in our books saying if you can't tell fantasy from reality don't play our game."

I’ve witnessed similar situations in the plural community. They always end up screaming how creators are “horrible ableists” for wanting these people to distance themselves from their work and to seek professional help, and that they can’t control their alters identities. It’s insane.

One of my long time ex-friends got pulled into the plural community, pulled not only that exact same shit above, but also used their alters as a reason to justify dating and being sexual with minors. I ended up deciding to cut off that friendship.

Edit: Fixed typos

I'm giving it two days before they all private their accounts, and then a week until they're back at their regular antics.
They like the attention and oppression points they get too much to go silent forever, if they go silent at all. They may just use this thread as evidence of how oppressed they are by normies or siglets or whatever they call regular people. The reason the do this elaborate role-play is for the attention good or bad.
