Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Or when a chicken lays non fertilized eggs. It's easier than thinking every time Chansey shares an egg with you it's a poke-abortion.
You can eat fertilized eggs. You just wouldn't know unless it's started developing.

Is it really weird to people that a pokemon would eat its own eggs? It's normal for real animals to eat their own eggs. Heck, I feed my chickens ground up shells because the calcium is good for them.

I still recall when it was a pretty big deal to battle challenging teams at level 100 with good movesets. In full color 3DCG instead of the then usual 8-bit style graphics.
Same, man that takes me back to when I was a kid. I loved doing the various challenges too like the little cup and stuff, just having the option to do tournaments focused on unlevelled basic pokemon compared to going at it with my friends using our fully levelled maxed out pokemon was so cool back then.

none of that explains why such a simple port job that would guarantee profit wasn't already made
Cause it would take resources away from stuff that would sell more to make and they do not see the port or remake serving a purpose currently.

GF seems to only do spin offs if they serve dual purpose.
specially in Japan which was always the target demographic market for the franchise
Oh shit. Maybe that’s it. BW underperformed and is set in America with a limited Dex. Orre is based on America, limited Dex. Maybe they are retardly concerned thr same thing will happen.

Seems to have regular Zoroark in it not Hisui and stats max out at 999

it hasn't happened since battle revolution, and probably will never happen again. the idea that you should have to be good at pokemon to finish the highest tier battles is completely discarded in vanilla/mainline games at this point. if you want challenging battles you play romhacks, or you intentionally handicap yourself.

It help that with Stadium that they sold it as a game where you could use your own team, even sold the transfer pak with it. So the level 100 battles were likely because they knew Mewtwo was at least Lv70.

In short, they knew a default player team would be stacked.

It seemed to be a move to make sure a player couldn’t just steam roll. Likely cause they knew everyone cheated.

No other game was really built with that in mind. I blame Battle Frontier. Now you get a buffed league and rival and that is it. And even those only go up to where an end game team usually is,

not like it couldn't be done again with the wireless connectivity of the 3DS and switch back in the day, or the switch games themselves now. battle frontier has some elements of stadium, but it's not the same as what stadium was. there's really no reason for the stadium stuff NOT to be either a separate game that you can use just for battling (probably would solve their woes with moves they don't want in-game for some reason). home could've been this, but nintendo is a bunch of retarded niggers.

So I went back to /vp/ to see if there is any new leaks. First thing I see is a picture of feet Cheese.png

I never got the customization system in XY, your character is a tiny little chibi where barely any details are shown anyways and you only see your full character model in-battle. The whole thing made more sense, and was implemented much better in Gen 7 and onwards.
Other stuff I found:

I never really played dress up in XY, can anyone confirm if that coat is available in-game? We already know Serena had an alternative outfit in the earliest beta builds, this might have been something that came later(or earlier). Reminds me of Platinum Dawn, what with a winter coat and no pants.
Here is an early character creation track for ORAS
Here is a python script for anyone actually going thru the files, apparently it's supposed to extract raw files from the builds but it doesn't do a very good job. Better than nothing.
Speaking of Catbox, I heavily suggest you don't click on any of these links that have supposed leaks in them right now. These files are very small and get flagged as trojans, I've clicked three of these fucking things now. Thank goodness Windows Defender is actually pretty good at dealing with it. Any files that are worthwhile are on Gofile(usually linked thru the freakleak depository) or other services where you can preview what you're downloading, and they will never be mere kilobyte or megabytes in size. Strangely, I don't see any replies to these posts that link these malware folders, so either nobody else clicks them, or they do but their computers/phones get bricked afterwards. Since it's /vp/, it's likely the latter, your average user there is either underage or looks like this

More stuff:
Early character design for Zinnia, untranslated

Early logo for X edition

Closer look at the early design for Serena
1729436407138180.png
No clue what this is, looks like a cutscene storyboard for Omega Sapphire
1729275355373908.jpg
Mega Jynx bros, I got some bad news
1729434810471105.png
Lastly, an early look at HarmoKnight, which back then was called "Tap Tap Quest"

Apparently ORAS used the entire soundtrack of RSE as a placeholder...and yet we never got a GBA Sounds item out of it like we had GB Sounds item in HGSS.

There's the Battle Mansion and Battle Test in Gen 6, and I think the Battle Tree in Gen 7 (haven't played Gen 7). The Gen 6 stuff is 3D battling against challenging teams, although with levels auto-reduced to 50, and the 3DCG was more cartoony than trying to be realistic. Since Gen 8 or so there has not been any real challenge anymore? Lame.

Why wouldn't a steel type make sense? Make it look like a Zoid, or a Poo-chi.

Give it a metal coat.

I personally want ghost. Me and my friend used to jokingly say it should be called Deadeon.

Not sure how steel should look. There's steel types that just don't scream steel to me like Mawile. It looks more like a weird plant to me. So it's not that hard to make a steel eeveelution work. How about liquid metal? Mercureon. It could be the T-1000's starter.

half the battle facilities have retarded gimmicks that aren't just good competitive. gen 8 has a battle tower, very similar to other battle towers, and gen 9 barely has competitive stuff at all, i think the best one if i recall is the tournament, and it still doesn't get to level 100. with the amount of experience point boosters and items to raise level there's no good reason to use level 50 anymore, it's as easy to get to level 100 as it is to get to level 2 once you're in the endgame/postgame.

the evolution stone for a ghost-type eeveelution would just be a brick, right?

Personally I wonder why it took them 17 friggin years to add character customization to an RPG. My XY characters look fabulous, I'll have you know.

Yes, it's the beige trenchcoat option, it's only available for female characters.

I scanned it and it seems to be fine. I would still take precautions when actually going thru the files, especially when clicking on any .exe files. It's a standard within the industry for any developmental builds to send a signal home when opened, which means it would be easy for Nintendo Ninjas to track you down if you ever opened that executible without at least 7 proxies, no internet connection and a VM.
Most of this stuff is useless anyways without proper tools to open the files or rebuild them.
Models of Rosa found

More Serena concept art. It seems those outfits are indeed in the game, which is a surprise since they're fucking ugly. Glad I stuck with the default outfit.

The level cap is annoying (open level FTW), but my biggest problem with the battle facilities is how despite being late-game areas, they don't have an option to use major legendaries. Some of my favorite mons are box art legendaries, but I can't use them because they trivialize an already easy game, and the only place that could possibly give them a challenge doesn't let you use them. They're just game completion trophies.
It'd be cool to have a battle facility where you can go all out and both you and the AI can choose any Pokemon, so far the only game I remember doing this is PBR, in the Stargazer Colosseum.

Good thing you warned me because I had no idea that was a thing and was about to play with powers beyond my comprehension. Dodged a ninja star there. But as you said, I haven't actually been able to open anything interesting as most files are unreadable without specific programs and some of them simply vanish when I unpack the .zip they're on.

Oh, sure. I’m just saying it seemed to only have been done because they were seemingly obligated to make battle sim and an actual conneciety device while acting almost like the online battles we have today in a time when no one did.

In short, nowadays they likely don’t see a point when online battles or battle trees are just a part of the core game

And honestly if I were GF the last thing I’d want to do is make a game for the competitive arseholes.

Here is a compilation of all the images I took from that archived thread. Same leaks we got, or a LARP? You be the judge, feel free to compare them to data we already have on TCRF

Most of the interesting tidbits about Overworld sprites were already pointed out, I did notice that Chili/Cilan/Cress have completely different hairstyles
Cress_OW_sprite_proto.pngChili_OW_sprite_proto.pngCilan_OW_sprite_proto.png
Cress almost looks like a Galactic grunt, which makes sense considering that was likely his base.

Mistralton City had a very different track in the early builds

Route 12 has an actually unused track never heard before. It's actually not even bad.

Skyline Bridge no music, unless you want to call someone playing a harp and the sound of waves "music"

Driftveil Bridge is yet another completely unused track, just like with Route 12

Apparently BDSP and PLA beta builds have been cracked, altho from what I am seeing BDSP sadly might be just the final game with a debug menu
1729447384486196.png1729446917918745.png
One of the discord trannies has posted recorded footage of PLA

Leaker confirmed there will be no Legends Z-A or Gen 10 altho he has his hands on them.
