Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Oh my gosh, am I the only one who is geeked becaue I saw that shiny furfrou is black? I have a black standard poodle and I just think I'd do anything for one just to have just because the shiny and untrimmed one looks much like my dog.

I also saw footage of pokemon ami, for something that's basically Nintendogs Lite, I'm impressed at the detail (like footage of ferroseed showed how you have to pet around its spikes so you won't get pricked).

With some pokemon though like the honedge line, it can be a bit odd stroking a sword... (or two swords and a sword and shield combo for that matter)

More proof why butterflies (and by extension Vivillon) are vicious hellspawn lol (I still find it hilarious that people kept thinking that pokemon would be some dark legendary or something but ended up with a butterfly not realizing that 666 doesn't have the same connotations in Japan than the Western world which had that stong Christian influence)

I still want to collect all of the Vivillon patterns just because I'm a completionist like that.

Man, I can't wait for next week when I can get the game! I have most of my team planned out already for the most part. At least the fact that I'm definitely gonna have an Aegislash, that is like, a requirment for me.

Okay, I understand the need to keep these games fresh and original, but some of the new ways of evolving are ridiculous when they don't give you hints. I'm trying really hard not to look up things on the internet and just PLAY the game without help, but how the hell was I supposed to figure out that Pancham
only evolves when you have a dark type in your party.

WHY!?
 
I think the idea is that it gets jealous and "beats" the dark pokemon up and in the process it evolves. It's supposed to be based on the Asian flavor of a thug/delinquent in addition to a panda which makes it unique (as opposed to the scraggy/scrafty which is more the Western flavor of that plus a lizard)

Actually is more about the corruption of youth. By hanging out in the same party as a dark type, Pancham gets a bad influence and evolves into a delinquent.

ooooooh... okay, so pancham is a sort of an "at risk" kid kind of thing.That makes even more sense than my explanation.

Speaking of which, I can't believe I didn't notice that before but weirdly enough, pancham and scraggy are found on the same route. Clever (considering they are both different flavors of thug/deliquent with the same typing to boot) or coincidence? I really dont' care, just really an odd point of interest convenient for eventually evolving pancham.

They announced two new Pokemon games:

-A sequel to Pokemon Trozei

-A detective game with a normal pikachu, a talking blue pikachu, and a currently unknown evil pikachu

"Pokemo Detective" (Title in development) - Will focus on a young detective solving crimes with his pikachu. In their journey they will come across a Talking Blue Pikachu which it said it will be the antagonist of the game (Changing the way people see their lovable pikachu) - Set to be released 2015.on the Nintendo 3DS.

The second game is the sequel to the 2006 game “Pokemon Trozei” it will only be available in the eshop. There will be more puzzle rich in 3D and feature to handle both screen - TBA

I'm kinda sad that Diancie doesn't have that one eternal flower and looks more like a carbink evolution (even though, its not,obviously, just the same typing_) that AZ's Floette theory is falling apart...

Volcanion... I love the typing and concept but.. that ring... does anyone else see what I'm seeing? Please tell me I'm not the only one that sees the potential for people poking fun at it! I really like it and all, don't get me wrong, but still.

Hoopa, oh my gosh, how adorable. LOVE IT!
 
So I'm thinking about getting X and Y. Would you guys recommend buying it now, waiting for it to go down in price, or passing on it altogether?

I've also gotten back into HeartGold. Grinding up for the big showdown with Red, which is ridiculous when there's no wild Pokemon above level 45 available. I fucking love the gen 2 remakes, but I really wish they'd boosted the monsters in Mt. Silver a little. I've gotten all the Kanto badges, I've clearly got a strong team, give me something serious here. I'm stuck waiting for the time of the week I can rematch Gym Leaders.
