Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

I'm trying to decide if I should make my Vikavolt's final move Thunder Wave, Flash Cannon, or Air Slash. I'm leaning towards Thunder Wave, since the only other status-causing move I have on my in-game team is Yawn. On the other hand, my only other Steel move is my Mudsdale's Heavy Slam (not that I run into Fairy types much, and I have plenty of coverage for Rock and Ice types), and my only other Flying move is my Decidueye's Brave Bird (not that I'm worried about anything Flying is good against, but, on the other hand, the flinch chance is nice--but Vikavolt is slow).

As for the Pokemon Go news--meh. I lost interest in it like four months ago. I've occasionally opened it up, but I've only used it actively once during that time. Besides, I don't go outside when it's cold and gross, so there's no way I'll be getting any new eggs any time soon.

I gave my Vikabolt Thunderbolt, Bug Buzz, Flash Cannon and Thunder Wave. If it's just for in-game and isn't going to be used for capturing Pokemon, go with whatever gives it more coverage.

I keep accidentally running in the middle of chaining SOS battles for EV points and I've no clue why.

Did anyone else notice how little of the Global Event thing was fulfilled on the plaza by the way?

They made a statement that they would plan future global events with what happened to this one in mind. To be honest if hatched Pokemon counted towards the goal it would've been easily completed, but since it only applied to Pokemon caught from the wild it's no surprise we didn't reach 100 Million. At least I got my 200 FC for signing up for it.

Not to mention that using the Global Link is a huge pain in the ass given how long Game Syncs take (holy shit, do they take a long time). Plus, I heard a lot of people had trouble actually signing up/getting their game registered. And a lot of people just didn't know about the event. They set the goal way too high with all that in mind.

Hopefully future Global Events will be better considering how hard this one flopped.

Also, lol:

Unless something changes, this will be the first time I've ever seen a global event like this in any game fail.

Animation style in Sun/Moon is less chibi-fied than X/Y. Sun and Moon also changed up the

I've got Sun if no ones helped you yet.

I still haven't gotten helped with that yet, but I need to up it ten more levels on Palego before it's ready. I can post on your wall or message you when it's good to go if you want?

The newest Pokemon Generations episode focuses on the XY postgame surrounding Looker and Emma. I really enjoyed that sidequest, so I think it's awesome it got an animated adaptation.

Honestly, these Pokemon Generation episodes are amazing, but they're also kinda painful because they really rub how fucking fantastic an anime based on the games would be in your face. The Ash-based anime is never going to die (because that's what kids in Japan are obsessed with), but it would be really cool if we finally got a spinoff series that focuses on the games. Pokemon Origins and Pokemon Generations have proven how popular such a series would be, but I doubt Nintendo will ever consider it.

Seeing the reunion between N and the BW protagonist was pretty amazing, in all honesty. I was so disappointed the episode ended right when I was drawn in.

Origins wasn't that successful in Japan. The Brock/Cilan crossover special from around the same time got much more views over there.

Probably also why we got Generations months before Japan did.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky (instead of "the sky" it's just "sky" I didn't make a typo) is a really solid game. It has tons of content, is fun and challenging and the story is weirdly dark and complex for a Pokemon game. The next two Mystery Dungeons sucked the big one and they just can't replicate the fun factor and replay value of Sky.
