Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

I'm not certain how desirable they are, but after doing a lot of wonder trading I've collected several extra Minior colors that I have no need for. I'm mainly looking for breeding fodder, but am open to other offers. The ones I have for trade are:

4 Blue Cores:
- Careful with 31 IV HP, Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed
- Bashful with 31 Attack and Sp. Attack along with very high HP and Sp. Defense [JPN region]
- Adamant with 31 Sp. Attack and Speed
- Adamant with no 31 IVs, but high Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense

1 Green Core, Careful with no 31 IVs [SPA region]

3 Indigo Cores
- Jolly with 31 HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Defense along with near maxed Sp. Attack and Speed
- Bold with 31 Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense
- Adamant with 31 Speed

3 Violet Cores
- Jolly with 31 HP, Defense, Sp. Defense and Speed
- Adamant with 31 Defense, Sp. Attack and Speed
- Gentle with no 31 IVs

How come they never made sequels to all the best N64 games?
Especially because the 3DS or Wii-U was a good chance for another Pokemon Snap game using the gyroscope controls and possibly augmented reality.

I think the answer to that question is near the same reason we haven't seen another proper F-Zero game since GX, or more relevant why we didn't get a Stadium-type game for 6th gen Pokemon.

And in regards to Sun and Moon, I'm over halfway through the island trial and caught like 50 different kinds of Pokemon so far. I also transfered the Ash Greninja from when I played the demo and that was part of my motivation to power through the Akala trials - I nearly forgot that I got a nice sweeper from playing the demo.

It warms my heart to see the Rowlet line so eagerly embraced by the fandom after three generations of polarising grass type starters. :feels:

Honestly, these Pokemon Generation episodes are amazing, but they're also kinda painful because they really rub how fucking fantastic an anime based on the games would be in your face.

No, it wouldn't. There's a reason the episodes are five minutes long and not twenty. No-one wants to watch Red trek through a dungeon, running from thirty Zubats and battling half a dozen identical hikers for twenty minutes.

I'm not sure if I'm getting my game for Christmas now.

My sister doesn't seem to want to go into gamestop, say "I need a new 3DS, and Pokemon Moon" but would rather use Amazon. Thing is though, its a bunch of random merchants pawning out used 3DS systems, and I'd rather brand new. I don't understand how Amazon works anymore. It's become a poor man's eBay.

Well, I mean, I was thinking along the lines of the hypothetical anime following the games' major events, not all the traveling and level grinding in between.

Wow. I am exceptional. It took me way too long to realize the nursery lady folds her arms when you have an egg.
Currently I am breeding starters and version exclusives to wonder trade tomorrow and the following day.

That still couldn't fill a half-hour timeslot and remain faithful to the games. You'd have to add so many more plot points and characters that you may as well be watching Ash dick around in filler episode #713.

Are there hacked Pokemon already in Sun/Moon? I got a shiny Delibird through wonder trade and I'm wondering if it could be legit.

I've got two spare Gamestop Genosect codes for XYORAS. Anyone who wants them is free to hit me up in PM, first come first serve. They're region locked to US copies of the games, though, iirc.

Delibird's in the Alolan dex, iirc.

I know it's in the Dex, I'm just leary of any shinies I get through wonder trade

Unfortunately hacking has been a problem since Day 1, since the main hacking tools were ready for the official release thanks to pirated copies of the game getting out eleven days early. Being shiny doesn't immediately mean your Delibird is hacked though.

If you have access to IV judging, check it's IVs, hackers tend to give their creations six maxed IVs.

Look at the information about how the Delibird was obtained. If it was caught in the wild, it's probably okay. Most of the hacks I've seen have the pokemon obtained from the nursery.

Look at the date the pokemon was obtained. I don't know how common this still is, but I've gotten a few hacks where it would say the egg was obtained in December, but the egg was hatched in November.

Finally check the pokemon's moveset. Until Pokemon Bank comes out there are certain egg moves that are not available, and many moves that are not even legitimately in the game yet.

Certain pokeballs are not available for certain pokemon, for example if you can't catch a pokemon in the wild it cannot be in a Beast Ball.

Wow. I feel dumb. Honestly I have never heard of this beast ball.
I always try to use regular Poké balls. Just for aesthetic reasons.

I got moon for Christmas and have been playing all day today. As of now I'm at Po Town for the first time when Team Skull has taken over. My thoughts so far:

1) Too many goddamn cutscenes and constantly having to stop game play. Feels like every 2 minutes (or less) there's a cut scene and it's both frustrating and it breaks my immersion. I'm enjoying the game but every time I see that icon on the map I slightly dread actually moving on because I wonder how long it's gonna take. Related to that, the beginning of the game felt absolutely slow as shit. Maybe I'm just a slow gamer, but at 1 hour in I was doing the trainer school bit which I hated. Even now I feel like the game is slower than others I don't want the game to be over in 3 hours, but it just seems like things aren't moving.

2) Team Skull is ridiculous. I guess we had the mafia, Poke-hippie, and eco terrorists so why not introduce Poke-Bloods/Crips. I sent my boyfriend a picture with some choice dialog and his response was "Is this Pokemoon Hood and Ghetto, not Sun and Moon?". I'd rather of them just re-use Team Aqua or Magma, honestly. Juggalo team is not what I expected in Hawaii Alola.

3) I do like alternative forms. I wish there were more.

4) The captains and kahunas are different. I think I'd rather have traditional gyms, but I've warmed up to it a bit.

5) Lillie is annoying as fuck. Hau is alright. He's more or less like all the recent rivals (at least the male ones).

6) The Rotom-dex is unnecessary and it really lowers the difficulty as far as getting to the right places. I also think they dropped the difficulty by not having Hau have the pokemon with the type advantage to yours (unless that comes in later in which case don't tell me.)

7) I miss HMs. Surf was actually one of my favorite moves and I always taught it to my starter so I miss that. What they did to replace it is alright, I guess.

Overall I'm having fun, though. Honestly, my biggest issue are the damn cutscenes.

I agree with nearly every point. Team Skull is fucking stupid.

I prefer Lillie to Hau, though. And I prefer not having to have an HM slave
