Zygarde with the move Thousand Arrows is pretty great. Careful nature with a defensive EV spread and Coil is pretty hard to kill, especially once you can get it Power Construct. By that point a set of 1K Arrows/Coil/Rest/Sleep Talk is stupidly hard to take down, as Complete Zygarde is the most physically bulky Pokemon in the history of the franchise. Until you get all 100 Cells/Cores 50% still can get the job done.

Just dumb luck. The games are completely data-mined so if there was such an error they would've found it by now.

Coldsteel doesn't really do it for me. Plus Snowshrew sounds like Snowshoe which is both adorable, and appropriate.

I looked it up on Bulbapedia. The Sandshrew/slash moveset is sucky as hell but I can't help but love the thing.
 
Snowshrew is a great name. But I never nickname my Pokemon.

Sandshrew is definitely one of my favorite Pokemon. I think all my favs are gen 1

So far I've been naming things either really obviously 'Evolve dog, Fire charp, Big octopus' or silly things like 'Dicks, Huge Asse, Gets Places'. Everything is nicknamed, even things that I bury in boxes forever.

You're winner if you can guess what the things that own these nickname are.

I almost never nickname my Pokemon. I did, however, nickname the Rowlet I got via egg Little Hoot (although if I had more space it'd be Little Hoot Hoot).

The Charizard in question really is Japan only right now. The QR code only works with Japanese games, and the GTS and other online services currently don't allow it even though it is legally available. For those wondering the figures in question are all scannable to obtain the Pokemon in the games. Currently the only really notable figures are Charizard(the only non-Alola dex Pokemon in the figure series thusfar), and the three Alola starters, all four of which can be caught in Pokeballs other than the default Pokeball via this method, for those that care about that, so if you see Alola starters not in Pokeballs on the GTS there is a chance they are actually legit.

I hope the figurines get brought over in some fashion. The figurines themselves aren't too bad for the price, and even then the QR code is just gonna pop up on the internet for free anyway.
 
Is anyone else slightly disappointed that they just re-used kahunas and captains for the Elite Four? I get why they did and I will admit the concept of being the first Aloan Champion is pretty cool, but I always enjoyed the mystery of what types I was gonna face. It's a bit less fun re-battling people you already beat. Kudos for a flying-type Elite Four member, though. I don't think there was ever one.

We've also never had a Rock-Type Elite 4 member either.

Well to be fair, the Alolan Pokemon League was JUST beginning, so it's not surprising that they used some of the Kahunas as part of the Elite Four considering they're among the best trainers on the islands.

Not to mention,

Almost every type in the game has its own trainer representing it. Some people count Dexio and Sina as Psychic and Ice, respectively, but I don't since they're not from this gen.

I cannot believe it! I got a Carbink! :heart-full::heart-full::heart-full: I wasn't expecting a Kalos Pokemon so early in the game, let alone one I liked very much!

Otherwise, my team is Dartrix, Magnemite, Yungoos (nicknamed Trump) and whatever else I'm rotating around. I got a Mankey, a Growlithe, a Kadabra (whom apparently's been nerfed bad since I last played) and most recently a Rockruff, I definitely plan to make Lycanroc (Werewolf Form) a mainstay in my team.

I have my 3DS with me on the big island, so I'll likely set up online play and all that other hassle, that way I can interact with the community and seek out other things I want like Popplio and, of course, my White and Beautiful Vulpix. :heart-full: How I was able to originally fall in love with the creature in 1998 not knowing this gorgeousness would come in my future is a mystery. Plus, I'm going to Snow country in two weeks for the dream vacation of my life. It'd make sense to get my White Vulpix for it.

I'm wondering what the Pokemon Go event is going to be. I'm guessing either Marshadow or something like Celebi, considering that game's moving to Gen 2 now.

Kahili was actually foreshadowed both in the demo and the full game. In the full game, you can find some people at the Hano Grand Resort talking about her. Of course, you still don't get to know her as much as the other three.

Seeing her Toucannon use the Flying Z-Move without a proper flying animation looked incredibly goofy.

Some Z-Moves look goofy as fuck on certain Pokémon. Its fun getting a Pokémon to learn a random type move just for the purposes of using a Z-Move
