I can accept a design that's so stupid and weird looking that it's funny. But the edgy lore is complete whiplash for me.

The scalpers aren’t the only ones buying out stores, don’t forget about the fomo retards trying to “beat out the scalpers” by also buying out the stores. People want to put all of the blame on scalpers, who are a huge problem and scum, but none of them want to put any blame on the retards waiting outside of a store. There’s also a lot of selective outrage. I don’t want to hear her basically say “think of the children” while also being a part of the problem.

I made the definition very clear and expanded on it with later posts, the only reason anyone would argue against it in such a pissy, passive aggressive womanly way would be if they don't fit it, ie casual or a tourist. Either way, the original poster I was referring to is some sort of disingenuous redditor or a low IQ moron and still offered me none of his receipts, so I will treat him and everyone else involved in this little spat accordingly going forward. You decided to buy that game the moment they announced it, they don't need to put any effort in these designs. It probably wasn't even made by human hands, it was likely designed by AI, but they don't care, you will buy it anyways. Horde of unwashed low IQ impulsive non-fans are going to storm the doors of those stores and trip over themselves to buy this piece of shit day one no matter what they release in previews, at this point this is just Gamefreak mocking everyone who already pre ordered the game. Then, the game will sell big bucks, it will somehow make the formula even worse, the dipshits who bought the game will complain about their purchase, and then some tourist mongoloid is going to blame fans who aren't buying this game for how well it sold. Then, the hype train for the next game will start and all will be forgiven, starting the cycle all over again. This happened for years now, not surprised nobody in this thread can see it if they are active participants in it.

Mega Victreebel looks great. Well, maybe more as a gigantomax than a mega but I enjoy a good silly design. Forcing all the megas to be cool would be too tryhard (though Mega Dragonite still sucks). As far as megas go, I’m always down for taking a theme and running with it. I’m sure the superfans who are still buying the merch, and still participating competitively, and are still going to buy this game (as arbitrated by @30+GameOvers) will appreciate it even more than I.

Mega Dragonite has grown on me - sorta like a fungus - but that's mostly because Regular Dragonite is already such a derpy looking bastard that it honestly tracks that his Mega would also look derpy.
Mega Victreebel, low hanging jokes re: the designers obvious fetish aside, just screams "recycled Gigantamax", but its not like Victreebel's design really had anything to build off for a Mega - it's just your standard Kanto Pandering for a line that hasn't gotten any attention in God only knows how long.
Just set the dipshit to ignore - he tends to pop into games threads and shit up the place, it's not worth the headache, nor is his schizo posting entertaining enough to offset reading it.

I'm not tempted to believe this one is real, just because it's wildly different from the leaked design. Also, its background is different, and the level of blur isn't similar. There's no blue overlay and the rainbow Mega hue thing isn't consistent across its body. Etc. etc. etc.
Then again, I am a stubborn denialfag, so of course my go-to is "this isn't real." It might well be, someone who might have been connected to Meganium guy posted this. He didn't have a trip, so there's no guarantees that it was anything but an opportunistic shitposter, but I don't particularly care either way. I find it funnier, instead, that they're making "the strongest Pokémon ever" again, except now they can't even wait for gen 10 and are deciding to blow their load on a Legends game. Assuming Zygarde really does get a mega, and it goes off of 100%'s stats, Mega Zygarde's stat total would be 808, which is the largest stat total in the entire series. (Discounting the unusable Eternamax form with 1k-whatever.) Power-creep? What's that?

Where there's a will there's a way. They could've taken inspiration from other carnivorous plants, there's plenty of species so no need to worry about stepping on Carnivine's toes, like that deep red one with the fancy hat or the tall one with purple striations.
Some fanmade Megas are decent, even if they're a bit overdesigned. I like the first one's idea of using a Sitrus berry as bait.
It's nice. It still has Gigantamax vibes and I wish the flowers weren't so thick, but it's not bad.
This one matches the description, it's the mockup that is wrong:
The English in the description is hard to parse so who did the mockup mistook the green with the black. What the leaker meant to say is that Zygarde's black part above its chest remains mostly the same, but below it's almost entirely green.
