Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

He even says the groping is actually a minor issue compared to being really stressed and being subject to parasocial retards - which itself is kind of rich.
The moment you make a YouTube channel where you show your face and go to events and interact with fans, you have no right to complain about autistic retards stalking you. Especially when the community is something as big as Pokémon. How hard could that possibly be to understand?

There is some serious sour grapes type shit going on in this thread. You people are fucking maldjusted retards if you think because someone makes videos and interacts with fans, they deserve to be molested.

As I said, I already knew it was gonna sell because its a pokemon game and pokemon sells because people are retards and humanity is damned to extinction by the hand of its own stupidity.

How tragically dramatic. If it's any consolation to you, PLZA sold fewer copies in its first week than both Scarlet/Violet and Legends Arceus. Despite the millions of people buying, the sales are trending downward. People for sure are dumb but they learn eventually.
Maybe, but in a way he's right. This was talked about on YouTube that PLZA has been said to only cost about $15 million to make and only needs to sell about 220,000 copies to break even or to make a small profit.

People are absolutely going to keep buying and Pokemon is forever going to stay in the 2005 glitchy game era with it's plastic looking people and Pokemon, absolutely reinforcing to Gamefreak that people will keep nomming their turds anyway because of FOMO and needing to collect 'em all. Gamefreak is making Beast of Reincarnation and shows they know how to make a beautiful game, they just don't for Pokemon because people keep showing with their wallets that quality doesn't have to matter.

I actually have a serious question about Pokemon ZA, how good/bad is the combat when compared to Digimon World on ps1?
I always liked the idea that the creature you are training is dumb as a rock and you actually need to teach them what each order means.
Combat in the first digimon game is far from good, but I always liked it nonetheless.

If you've played or know about the Xenoblade games it's kind of like that. You target enemies and attack with cooldown based moves while moving around and dodging attacks since your trainer can get hit and black out. It's more involved than DW1.

I don't know if having the player involved in fight and being forced to dodge like that is that good to be honest. Honestly I kinda like and hate the idea at the same time.

Peta gonna have a field day with this one.

It is indeed a difficult mess sometimes. I personally enjoy it since any extra difficulty is welcome in a Pokemon game. In specific wild zones, wild mons will try to gang up on you and attack on all sides. It's very satisfying when you overcome the odds and beat them all.

Inversely the trainer battles suck ass. They fight fair so all you really need to do is stand there and mash your attack buttons.

If he's being groped by gay niggas, yikes, get the fuck out of there my guy.
Wonder if he regrets that "trans rights" shout out now.
Well, lets just say that "please don't be weird" is probably the best way he found to allude to it without ouright stating it. Makes one wonder if there were slip ups in his other attempts to make the video.
I don't know anybody in this space, but, it's refreshing to hear for fucking once a top dog in a competitive nerdy space wasn't committing the assaults (ofc one would hope 0 could happen). Moreover glad somebody in a position like his is calling out the perverts. Speaking from having seen it in fighting games players listen to good players and hang on their every word. Being good gives you a lot of pull. So, with any luck, this can snowball into ousting the perverts from Wolfe's old space.

One can hope anyway. Fuck the trannies and fags.
From my understanding he has a girlfriend. Hopefully it means he is proper loyal to her, though I'm honestly expecting the gropers to be closer to groypers if you get my drift.
Shame, he's actually one of the least degenerately autistic pokemon youtubers. Probably because he just concerns himself with winning, sometimes with novel and interesting strategies. I enjoy his videos.
I have a ton of fun every time the Perish Trap comes out. When he uses more standard stuff I do find the tism process of the whys entertaining enough, bit Perish Trap is the only ones where I enjoy watching the matches.

And I was expecting him to drop out because of a particular bad performance or not liking what Pokemon he's funneled into using to compete, never expected "I'm groped and touched by creepy faggots and they write weird creepy shit to me in socials".
To be frank the guy literally just plays pokemon competively. He seriously is just a normal guy. He may have some liberal esc views on trans fags but other than that relatively normal. This is a normal man's reaction to being assaulted. Simple as that.
Guy is still a shitlib. He's basically closer to a NIMBY that isn't making the proper connections between what he supports and what that brings. Shit like what happened to him is the natural conclusion of validating trannies or "not kink shaming". Shame is how this shit gets cut at it's origin (and violence, but I know as of now doing that will get you legally destroyed).
So what gives, they got bored of the FGC so they decide to infest Pokemon now?

Pokemon fans better nip that shit in the butt or else their hobby is going to be even more shit than it already is.
Pokemon is tism catnip and as a consequence, trannynip.
I'd be happy to see Wolfey pivot to Nuzlocke stuff. The few times he's done it, he seemed really engaged, and it was great content (in my opinion). I think Nuzlocking largely doesn't have the same problems that VGC does (it's a similar pool of autistic weirdos, but it doesn't really lend itself to in-person stuff, and you're never really forced to interact with randoms if you don't want to.)

Really sad that all this happened to Wolfey of all people.
He already said he won't stream to avoid parasocial behavior and it makes sense to keep away from it. He sounded at a point that people being creepy online was enough and a stream chat must be full of that shit.
This has been echoed by burlesque performers, drag queens, dancers, and strippers for years. Women get drunk and in a gaggle they will shove their fingers in your coochie or grab your entire cock and balls in their hand without consent and will get offended when told "no". There was a recent romantasy con where a male cosplayer got groped and grappled by 50 year old wine aunts for the entire weekend.
There's a number of women who think that they're entitled to a handful as long as they're drunk and having a good time, there's men like that too, but they actually face consequences for that shit.

I don't doubt that trannies were doing it, it fits very well into their whole modus operadi, and with how pro-troon Wolfey is I would expect them to use that as an excuse to call him an egg or a chaser. However don't ever underestimate the sexually frustrated rage of a gaggle of catladies or wineaunts.
Definitely. Book smut has been eye opening yo me in that sense, buuuut in this particular poke context... my money is on trannies/faggots being the main culprits with a stray female hobgoblin here and there.
Bonus Wolfe drama content in the Verlisify thread
This guy really is a seething lunatic.
Yeah its no surprise that this (might have) happened but this guy literally got famous because he stalled matches and hacked his Pokemon giving him an advantage over his opponents. Also I'm pretty sure he defended another sexual another abuser as well.
Oh, Verlisify! Didn't know you had an account here! Have you considered not obsessing about pointless shit?
I can sympathize with Glick, but he needs to be less of a bitch and actually be an alpha about it. If he just outright called that person out, they would have retreated, and it would have taken a bit of the parasocial edge away. It came across as having his cake and eating it, but then realizing he cannot have both.

Pokémon, over the last few years, has become a progressive hell-hole. The autism that has prevailed constantly in the community has become toxic and way more deviant. For decades, it was a wholesome community, but now it's up there alongside MtG. It's fucking wild that Yu-Gi-Oh is the more chill TCG community.

I tried getting through the Wolfe video, nigga needs to learn the word concise.
On part he fostered this shit no doubt and I hope a part of his brain is recognizing patterns, but on the other...
Just imagine for a moment if Wolfey followed your advice.

One day, you log onto the Kiwi Farms, and an interesting happening is up: "Sexpest hospitalized at Pokemon Tournament: Troons most affected."
You enter the thread, and you're greeted by a NSFL spoiler of WolfeyVGC skull-bashing an incapacitated tranny while pudgy autists flee the scene. The tranny is rescued by the police, who taze Wolfey immediately. Screencaps fill the thread of Twitter faggots clutching their pearls about the "baseless hate crime" that has taken place, while some loyal fans defend him.

After a few hours of everyone disavowing WolfeyVGC and patronizingly calling for him to "get help" with his "issues", someone takes a statement from the jail for him, wherein he explains that it was self defense, and he had no choice but to "beat them up" or he would be "metaphorically getting fucked in the ass". The tone of the reaction sours distinctly, as even the loyal fans turn and start calling for WVGC's head as a nazi bigot.

The legal system of the big-ass city where this took place does not care that it was self-defense: It was a white male (cis! straight!) beating a helpless transgender womxn, so Wolfey gets 300 years in the slammer. But Wolfey is happy with this result: He saved his dignity. He never has to worry about metaphorically getting fucked in the ass again.
... we all know this would be what would happen. Taking a deep step back is the best thing he can do that won't make him have to deal with the weird parasocial shit and won't leave him without a job. Though ideally he should consider outright dropping pokemon and just play anonymously, or to at least drop youtube/streaming altogether.
Yes, it's very good as far as these videos go, which is why this is one of the only things I could come up with to shit on it. He even says the groping is actually a minor issue compared to being really stressed and being subject to parasocial retards - which itself is kind of rich.

Hey guys follow me on instagram and watch all my videos. WTF why do I have an insane fanbase who stalks me?
People in general never consider what comes with fame. And today it's easier than ever to be famous in a subset of a community and not have much cash in your pocket for your efforts which is the worst of both worlds.
I don't know if having the player involved in fight and being forced to dodge like that is that good to be honest. Honestly I kinda like and hate the idea at the same time.
Seems like a janky middle ground to me. I think action pokemon needs to be rethought from the ground up.

Yeah, it looks like an undercooked idea that needed a lot of refinement before being crapped out, the kind of stuff that would come out good if the game was not being rushed.

I don't know if its a good way to implement difficulty.
I heard people complaining that the combat becomes a mix of mindless button mashing and an action rpg for retards.
Inversely the trainer battles suck ass. They fight fair so all you really need to do is stand there and mash your attack buttons.
Being able to sneak up on them to put down one of their pokemon is also fucking retarded.

Generally, I don't like the idea of moving away from pure turn based RPG, lots of title do it in a way that works and is fun.
Darkest dungeon, Lisa and Omori immediately comes to mind mind and are still fun to play because of how balanced and complex the combat is.
Even gathca shit like Summoners War, which I played a decade ago, still came with a complex strategies and team.
For me The issue with pokemon's combat has never been the turn based, but its focus on 1 vs 1 and how everyone is too squishy, you included.

It works significantly better than it sounds. I'm a diehard turn based combat fan so take me saying it's not bad as a huge endorsement. PLZA is the least rushed game Game Freak has released in years. It was originally supposed to be released in 2024 according to the recent leaks.

The delay was used solely to figure out the design of mega pyroar and mega starmie, as well as making sockpuppet accounts and programm them to say "no the design is actually the Blaze kanji".

I'm far from the first to state it but nonetheless it's mind blowing how gamefreak has thrown their hat behind doubles for their official competitive VGC format but doggedly stick to singles for their mainline games and the only games that use double battles were made by third parties

Oh XD, my beloved

The easiest possible way to get people to buy DLC is by adding modes to make the main story doubles.

I've talked about it before, but I've played the Gen 3 and 5 games with hacks that make all the battles Doubles or Triples, and it makes the games way more engaging since you're almost never in situations where you can just mindlessly tap A to one-shot everything with your strongest attack. BW and B2W2 with all Triple battles and the boss fights buffed a little (mainly just giving them held items and giving B2W2 bosses their Challenge Mode teams) actually feel like normal JRPGs and not "Pokemon" like how it almost feels like its own genre. I imagine Gen 4 games would benefit as well, but it's harder hack them for this (if you set regular opponents in the DS games to Doubles when they're not supposed to then it'll crash the game because it tries to load dialogue for a Doubles partner that doesn't exist). They really should have made Doubles the default starting with RS instead of being so scared of any increase in complexity scaring kids off.

The Gen 6 games are fucked though. All the changes to the EXP system means the games shower you in EXP unless you go out of your way to turn off the EXP Share (it's on by default after all), never use Pokemon Amie, and skip most of the optional trainer battles. It's like GF wanted to make sure the games would be easy even if you did the bare minimum needed to complete them, so doing anything more than that causes the difficulty to drop off a cliff into nothing before the game is even half done.

It's not just the amount of pokemons you can attack, but the moment you introduce a second character fighting, you get the chance to make synergies and more.
It's not like there wasn't an attempt to expand this, gen 3 introduced moves like Follow me for your tank to use to guard your other pokemon doing dps, as well as helping hand to buff damage and more.
Later Gens too introduced mirror matches, but those are not complex enough because the key of pve battles is 1 vs 1 "mirror" matches. And those mirror matches requires more complexity to get good, something very limited when you go 1 vs 1.
That is why double battles for competitive are a good idea, with them, you can get a little more complexity and need to better strategyze both your and your enemy options.

Managed to finally find time for a few hours of Legends Z/A. It's fine so far, obvious graphical deficiencies aside. I'm already missing the fields of Hisui, but the platforming sections in Lumiose are interesting.

Alright, I finished the main story...
...it was kinda hype at the end.
But, I think it ties in some of the ideas behind Zygarde being based around Norse mythology. Specifically, the whole part about the world tree. The theory is that Zygarde was the nidhogg, Xerneas is the deer, and Yveltal is the eagle.

(And zeraora is the squirrel)
and Lumiose tower is the fuckin tree, cool

The shiny rate is normal but apparently with this game whenever you fast travel or reload an area the pokemon are reset with new spawns. The shiny hunters have been abusing the hell out of this by non-stop reloading areas until a shiny appears.

Never cared for shinnies myself but I managed to find 4 before finishing the story. I guess you just got lucky.
yeah, the shiny hunting method for this game is stupid easy. i wanted to see if i could get a shiny buneary, and since i'm still in early game, i think i was in area 6, since that is where they spawn. but even if i couldn't get a buneary, i was also able to try for other pokemon in that area that i liked like flaafy, houndour, and swablu. i managed to get a shiny swablu and magikarp to appear in the same cycle, which was pretty dope. i may keep the swablu in my party and take out fletchinder and try for a shiny houndour to replace fletchinder's fire typing in my party.

current party is swablu, haunter, flaafy, fletchinder (temporary), and croconaw

Oh, and the YouTuber AustinJohnPlays set up some link trade codes, specifically for people looking to finish the pokedex. You use it to match up with others trading for specific mons:
