I think I get what they were going for, but it's really obnoxious and I think Lance wants his signature caped look back. His Charizard stance is annoying, too, not helped that the player character will also spin around to strike that pose (when you spin in a circle like an ice skater).
I find Hop more repulsive to look at, though. He's just really creepy.

Maybe the current modder's have some sort of moral center and want to make mods that are safe for kids. Just a thought. Also coworker who bought sword and shield and claims to have beaten them both says all the reports of glitches are people who are lying or made illegal modifications to their switch, he says his own research proves this. He's very upset about the whole modding scene and also claims to have written Nintendo about it so they get shut down/arrested.

I don't think he honestly knows about anything kiwifarms is associated with, he's more interested in being a whale for mobile games and reading fanfiction. He's the type who cares more about the secondary results of something like what fanfiction stories it can generation(he reads the Reylo shit from star wars) and unproven ideas and concepts than the actual finished product.

So now that there are supposedly no pokemon who can learn Yawn+False Swipe, what's the meta combo for grinding through a bunch of catches?
Also, a dumb observation from a GPU programmer now that I've seen the game all the way through: There's some wild variance in their approaches to lighting between the overworld, fairy forest, fairy town and Team Yell town. Each of them feels like it was intended for a different console generation: Fairy town uses a bunch of mobile-game style fake light trickery while the forest part uses real lights/shadowcasters and Yell's town even seems to have a couple of bumpmapped textures. It's really baffling how rushed this thing feels, but I guess that's what comes from a forced yearly holiday release cycle.

My own research (read: looking at the list of false swipe users on Serebii and clicking anyone interesting) indicates it will probably be Venusaur when they are actually obtainable. In the mean time Bisharp (mean look, taunt, thunder wave), Gallade ( taunt, hypnosis, skill swap, mean look, encore). You should also keep a Pyukumuku around for soak and a few other choice abilities (taunt, gastro acid, rain dance for all the pokemon that take damage in the sandstorm/hail they are standing in)
