I've already ranted about this before, but now that we have more info it's fucking ridiculous just how overtly favored Cinderace is.

Number of attacking move types:
Rillaboom, 7
Inteleon, 8
Cinderace, 12

Signature move power:
Rillaboom, base 80
Inteleon, base 80
Cinderace, base 120

Number of signature moves:
Rillaboom, 1
Inteleon, 1
Cinderace, 2

Hidden abilities:
Rillaboom, Grassy Terrain
Inteleon, Sniper
Cinderace, Libero (aka Protean, funtions exactly the same way)

The only area where it isn't blatantly better is single stat totals with Rillaboom's Attack and Inteleon's Sp. Attack coming in at 125, while Cinderace's best stat is Speed at 119. And even then, that other signature move? Yeah, it's one of the most broken ones they've ever introduced. Court Change switches around entry hazards and screens (say you've set up Sticky Web and Stealth Rock and have dual screens on your side of the field, Court Change can switch them around so your opponent suddenly has your screens while you're suddenly burdened by your own hazards in a single turn).

And then you remember Scorbunny is the only starter shown in the anime's marketing. Real subtle GF, real fuckin' subtle... I'd argue this is the worst case of starter favoritism in the franchise short of Charizard, and even then Zard only started getting super special treatment from gen VI onward, Cinderace is getting all of this shit fresh out the goddamn gate.

Pressing X on this shit but still an interesting watch

...

Yeah, hard press on X for that. Not only is there no actual evidence backing up that this is a person who I've seen on twitter sucking on Distant Kingdom's wang whenever he can. Even the 'video evidence' is extremely questionable on that.

Especially when the person giving answeres is named Bi-Bop-Bippity, and not to mention there are obvious edits in the video that skip between minutes of time so there's obviously information missing.

Also, the link to the interview is now gone.

So we can't even verify if the interview is correct.

What bullshit.

Looks like Davo_ made a review on sword and shield. I'd say he did a decent job.

so basically "its okay, just not worth 60 bucks, wait for a price drop or when it's 30 bucks used/for ULTRA CHANGES"
Australians make the best content, even if their country isn’t real and their internet is slower than a brick.
thats because the land down under has a sense of humor and don't take themselves that seriously, Except abos

Figured I'd give an update - The interview was fake. https://twitter.com/GotNintendo/status/1201244388766212097

Here's the person who recorded the conversation, so Shyguy is a fucking idiot.

To be fair, the guy does plants vs. zombies content, did you really expect anything better for his intellect?

So he pretty much just a bootleg version of your average everyday minecraft channel, but with even staler content, and a smaller fanbase.

Even with my issues with how things are going I smelled a rat here. The first red flag I got was when they claimed the Lumiose ghost girl would've played a bigger role in X2/Y2 or whatever. I really don't understand why that whole thing blew up as much as it did. Ghost people have been in the games for years and have always been simple little creepy moments for the shits and giggles, never an overarching story line that actually goes anywhere.

My only guess is because the ghost girl used the Hex Maniac model and she's a, let's just say very beloved trainer class...

The fact that he was some random PvZ YouTuber who suddenly decided to make an anti-GF/TPC video with questionable sources made it obvious it was an attempt to gain clout. Maybe he saw how some absolute nobodies could gain views from jumping on this bandwagon and decided to hop on, though once people see he was just saying shit, I can't say I expect it to work out for him.

I can think of a couple of reasons why...

I though it was due to the secret message behind a sign in the station and how there were a bunch of areas you coudnt access that were totally not sequel/ better version bait *wink* *wink*

I will admit to having a bias against them. This partially comes from the Elite 4 remaining the best source of EXP in the game. Partially because there is a lot more dialogue I am leaving out.
10 Go into Morty's Gym
20 Start a Gym rematch on the highest available level
30 Attach EXP Share/Lucky Egg(s) (optional)
40 Destroy the first guy's 5 Gengar with Earthquake, Psychic, or Shadow Ball
50 End the Gym Challenge
60 GOTO 10
Crystal Clear is one of my favorite ROM hacks though due to it's freedom and now the variety of available characters, developer pretentiousness aside. I'd still recommend it if you like Gen 2.

Back on the topic of Sword and Shield. I have no-lifed 100 hours into it because I actually want to play competitive this time. The QoL changes they made to breeding and getting a team together make it fun for me. Bulletpoints:

* Story was alright, not X/Y bad, not Black/White/B2W2 good. I actually liked the characters this time compared to Sun/Moon and it was nice not having to wait for a third version for characters to have actual development

* The move changes are nice and I generally approve of them. Pursuit and Hidden Power were annoying, Return has a myriad of other options to replace it, and not having Roost or Toxic TM/TRs helps competitive balance

* Ingame was alright difficulty-wise, but I purposely didn't grind or use items in battle or take my free switches. A couple of the Gym leaders had me on edge, and Leon was actually tough for my under-leveled team

* The most fun I've had with multiplayer in Pokemon ever is chilling in Discord and hanging around the Wild Area finding raids and breeding with the guys

* Raids are insanely fun and make all the support move options GF has been adding since Gen 5 are actually useful for it

* Having a combined 200 TMs and TRs allow for a ton of options. Physical Water can go for Waterfall flinching or Liquidation for higher power. Special Water has Muddy Water for spread damage, Surf for more accurate but dangerous spread damage, and Scald for burning. It's fun actually having options to weigh for most Pokemon

* Others have noted this, but there are a ton of options to build your party throughout the game. This is one of my drivers for playing ROM hacks (Go check out Drayano ROM hacks like Renegade Platinum for more of this)
