Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Meet Bellibolt! This Electric-type frog is Iono’s favorite and it really is quite cute.

This thing is an abomination and I hate it with every fiber of my being. It's a facsimile of a fat children's mascot with faux eyes in the middle of its head to make it appear less threatening to children while its souless gaze watch from the sides of its head.

I need to play this game now for the sole purpose of murdering this THING.

I already saw a drawing of it with a dick and balls on /vp/. And it hasn’t even been an hour yet.
Speaking of /vp/ the past two days have been flooded with threads raging over the design of the new gym leader and it’s pretty funny watching them having break downs.

I thought the eyes were the other way around, the big ones on the sides are fake and the little ones in the middle are the real ones.

It even has a signature ability:

It's pretty much a built in Charge which is neat. I'd imagine this fella has some decent defensive stats.

So they gave the V-Tuber a shit Pokemon that legitimately looks like a knock off. Fitting. This thing and Klawf are the two so far that give me "that's not a Pokemon" vibes. Klawf looks like Generic Fantasy Crab #468, and this thing looks like it comes from a romhack. Ceruledge and Armorouge feel a bit out of place, but with Pokemon like Gallade and Bisharp, they don't feel that odd. I would of much rather they made their designs more akin to the Aegislash line, being living scared objects rather than a humanoid ghost wearing said objects, though.

I think the Pikaclone this time around looks slightly more appealing than Morpeko (I fucking hate that thing and the idea it has a "Hangry" mode), but Jesus H Christ am I sick of Pikaclones. You had two in Gen 3, you can skip a generation and still have as many Pikaclones as gens, and if you absolutely have to make a Pikaclone, be creative with it like you did with Mimikyu. Or better yet, just give Pikachu a new regional variant, why make a bunch of fake Pikachu's when having a Pikachu of different types would probably sell way more merch?

Anyone able to resume what has happened since I last visited the thread after SW/SHwas released but before Arceus was released?
Arceus released, people liked it. But then only a few months later, we got the Scarlet and Violet reveal trailers. There’s been a slow flow of information from Nintendo, but most of what we know is from leaks.

Don't forget that, according to the leaks, this pikaclone can actually evolve. It would be a breath of fresh air considering the last pikaclone to have done that was Azurmarill from gen 2.

Man, imagine Game Freak and Nintendo being sued by 4chan because a decade old post.

Official artwork of pudge frog.

It doesn't even look like a Pokemon, Digimon, or even a Neopet.

It deadass looks like something out of Dragon Quest. It even looks like Akira Toriyama fucking drew it himself.
It looks okay in my opinion. Like some friendly blob that was in a NES or SNES game and someone DeviantArt drew it on their Ipad.

As mentioned earlier I've been playing Pokemon Go with a spoofer for a few weeks now, and I hadn't played since it's release in 2016 before that, but if others have experience with it... are shiny pokemon like absurdly common? I might be speaking from the most convenient place possible as PCsharp let's me play in crowded New York as well as adding a feature that let's you know if nearby Pokemon are shiny without needing to manually check with an encounter, but the numbers I am seeing are still so high. Recently there was some event with a lot of Scythers and I no shit found like 10, to the point I might actually have to release some. During Sun & Moon I Masuda methoded for a shiny Scyther which was female and I wanted a male, so I did it again and got another shiny female and quit... too bad I didn't know it'd be so easy in the future.

It's my conspiracy theory now that I have experence with how you transport to Pokemon Home that it's intentional. The amount of the transporting resource it takes to send a shiny is like 30x that of a regular pokemon, and the microtransaction cost to get more of that resource without waiting days is astronomical.

They’re definitely far more common than in the main games and Community Days only make them even easier to find.
