Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Which are your favorite Gen 9 Pokemon (including paradox forms)?
Skeledirge, Flittle, Espathra, Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, Tinkaton, Greavard, Houndstone, Farigiraf, Scream Tail, Flutter Mane, and Slither Wing.

it breaks my heart that Flittle and Espathra don't have a second type. i'm generally not a huge fan of monotype pokemon, because you lose out on a second STAB and you lose out on whatever advantage having certain types gives you (ghost's immunity to normal & fighting, flying's immunity to ground, steel's immunity to poison, fairy's immunity to dragon, etc etc etc). additionally, i don't see how Flittle, this little frilly fairy thing, becomes a literal cleopatra ostrich. at least both pokemon are cute individually.

Mine are Sprigatito, Maushold and Tinkaton.
In my opinion, SVs roster of new pokemon is the weakest since Gen 6 but it offers some really creative Designs too.
Regular Pokémon: Grafaiai, Gimmighoul & Gholdengo, Dolliv & Arboliva, Glimmora
Paradox: Iron Valiant, Scream Tail, Flutter Mane

Speaking of Gimmighoul being a fave of mine and all, I keep thinking they're Rock-type because of Chompest in Pokémon Clover.

Maushold is cute though. They kinda remind me of Hello Kitty/Sanrio characters tbh. Another cute one is Finizen, but I wouldn't necessarily call them a favourite. Kinda bummed the dolphin is a gimmicky Pokémon...

And yeah, Gen 9's roster isn't too amazing (many of them I feel indifferent towards and some I outright hate). I like Gen 8's roster way more, and it's a shame the games weren't great because there's a lot of Pokémon I love from it.

Oras was better than Emerald in every way and im still mad sinnoh didnt get that kind of respect towards it with that epic rayquaza vs deoxys episode in the post game. A section that even got an anime segment in Evolutions where Brendan gets to walk on a giant satelite far above the planet and watch rayquaza defeat the alien.

Forgot how cool Deoxys was and how rotom’s “item catalog” key item in BDSP is just what Deoxys needs so developers dont need to add meteorites or in game events for it to change form.

Difficulty issues and the lack of the battle frontier aside, oras were good games. BDSP so lame you won't even realise it's an official remake. No character redesigns, no love put into the routes and animations, just a bland DS ripoff. BDSP could've been great with platinum content, with maybe the giratina arc in the postgame. Sinnoh has the most powerful legendarys and then you catch them in a lame themepark with boring hallway sections. There could've been additional plotlines for Regigigas, Heatran, Cresselia/Darkrai and so on.

And the award for Most Retarded NPC in the Series goes to...

Also, why are there randos just duking it out in Mt. Pyre? I can understand the channelers in the first games - they were being possessed - but this place has a bunch of dipshits having Pokémon battles in amongst the gravestones "just cause."

Funerary ritual combat.

But seriously, I’d rather they stick a couple of trainers in there to keep things lively (for a graveyard ha ha) rather than bring back the tension-free sightseeing tours of X/Y. ORAS is a straight upgrade.

Only zoomers dislike monotyped Pokemon

Though, I do agree that monotyped Pokemon could do with a buff. Mainly offensively. Defensive monotypes can sometimes be more viable than their dualtyped counterparts, due to lack of 4x weaknesses

Regarding my demake, I actually managed to reduce the lis to 254 moves. One big way was me getting rid of moves that can only be accessed through a Move Relearner.

Why are most of the legendaries based on chink mythology if the game is set in Poke-Spain? 🤔
Weren’t the legendaries originally from a different region that were brought over to Paldea? I did those school classes and the history teacher mentioned that from what I remembered.
Also Hoenn is based off a Japanese region yet its main legendaries are based off Hebrew mythology as well as the Regis.

SHINY SNEASEL

SHINY.
SNEASEL.

so yeah, i caught one. unfortunately it's female, which means it has a shorter earfeather. also it has a nature that gives it -Atk, which fucking sucks for its playstyle. fortunately that at least can be fixed with mints. shiny sneasel is one of my favorite shinies, so i'm pretty fucking hyped regardless.

sinnoh legendarys are greek mythology mixed up with the bible. but what origins are the twin dragons from unova based on? Happy Meal® toys?
Generic western dragons with generic eastern dual nature/yin and yang symbolism.

Must've missed that, probably since I didn't pay attention to the classes on account of them being boring as fuck.

Does that mean the (ironically absent) "disk Pokemon" is the only true deity/legendary Paldea has due to most of them having been imported and the box lizards being paradox mutant variants of Cyclizar? 🤔

Honestly as a kid, I didn't believe they were legit possessed and it was just an excuse for why it was they battled random trainers. LGPE's Channeler sprite is more convincing, but I dunno, still think they were just being zealots.
