Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

I'm really looking forward to the newest games, I am gonna wait and see on which starter to pick. at the moment I've barely touched my game in months because I have caught pretty much all the pokemon and get really bored breeding for a shiny.

on the topic of fave pokemon it has to be Spheal for me, it's so round and cute. it's shiny form is adorable but I had no luck breeding 1 in the 200 hatched with the shiny charm and japanese Ditto.

if anyone wants my friend code just ask, I have a box of spare legendaries that I don't mind trading some of them for a Jirachi/Hoopla/Volcanion. once I have those three I really have caught them all.

Just be careful with Volcanion, you can't trade him over wi-fi until the event is ove

Edit: and I wouldn't mind breeding one as I've been trying to (I'd take whatever for it) but if someone else wants to give it a go they'd be more than welcome.
 
I have patience to wait, Jirachi is the one I really want because all my pokemon are in numerical order and there's a gap where it should be in my boxes. I've spent so long playing the games that I have a charizard from firered I got in 2007, I just really enjoy collecting them all rather than battling and breeding

If Popplio actually is a Fairy type (or adds a Fairy typing along its evolutionary line) that will probably cinch it for me. I love Fire types, but I also really love Fairies. Aside from the new Pokemon, do you guys think they'll introduce any new Mega Evolutions? Most likely they will. I wonder if they're going to Mega Evo another set of starters, like they did for the Kanto and Hoenn trios.

My only complaint with a fire/dark would be if the game itself is surrounded. I loved Kalos, but Fennekin was pretty useless in game when you can find a fire pokemon right at the start. At the same time, since fire can't hit fire in the game and every psychic move was pointless against Team Flare...

I almost felt like it was Chikorita in the sense that the game just didn't sit well with it. (Gym wise anyway)

I want a fairy starter, I was hoping for one, but since the grass starter is flying, I'm guessing that it might be fighting.

You're really tempting me with the shiny but I'd feel bad taking it, if you really don't mind. You'll have to give me a few minutes, I found on in my Ruby GBA and I migrate it all the way to Omega first.
 
I don't mind and take the shiny I don't want it. it appeared in the long grass after accidently riding into it. I only caught it because it was a shiny. the only shiny I ever really wanted was Spheal and I have yet to realize that dream

I don't think Litten is a dark type. I was hoping for a Ghost type, perhaps?

If they are going in the same fashion they normally do where each type is weak against one, it makes no sense.

Flying is putting me through the loop right now.

Flying/Grass, grass beats water therefore Water/Fighting, Water beats fire, Fire/dark but something isn't right here. Flying/Grass isn't super effective against dark nor the other way around. I'm guessing if it's dark, it's more one sided, but if it's ghost it's complete immunity from Fighting moves. [End rant]

A ghost starter would be cool, which isn't impossible for Litten.

Owls can see well in the dark, which would make it theatrically strong against the dark/ghosts. I think Hoothoot had an abilities to fight ghosts with normal while ghost couldn't fight Hoothoot. Maybe they're going to do shit with abilities and stats and turn the trio dynamic around with evolution. It's the ultimate twist.

Or they are just going to make the chick chose the obvious weak type again for the third game in a row and the last fight with her will have her 15 levels lower than you.

I'm having major feels over Popplio. I've ALWAYS been a grass starter gal, ever since Bulbasaur, but this little guy has captured my heart, especially with all the hatred he's getting. He's so cute, he looks like you could just pick him up and snuggle him and he'd love you forever. I really wanted to get Rowlet and name it JK Rowlet but now I'm wanting a Popplio... What do I do? :(

Ahhh, the old starter debacle. It's always so hard for me to choose which one I want! I usually end up just going with the starter whose evolutions I like the most, but sometimes that just makes things even harder if the evolutions are just as good as the base forms.

I keep thinking it over and I think I'm set on Popplio. I mean, JUST IMAGINE THIS CUTIE IN POKEMON AMIE, HOLY SHIT:

You could just do what I did in X - I bred my Froakie and traded the hatchling online for a Fennekin the moment the option became available. Probably going to do the same thing now, because otherwise I will never be able to pick between Cat That Missed Morning Coffee and A Good Grass Starter That Isn't Snivy.
