All of you are autistic. And on that note, any good hacks around that specifically cater to nuzlockers? Preferably a GBA rom since those run fine on my phone.

Why yes, I am autistic. And I do like playing ROM hacks. All of you are autistic. And on that note, any good hacks around that specifically cater to nuzlockers? Preferably a GBA rom since those run fine on my phone.
Pretty sure 90% of them nowadays have a setting for it- the good ones that come to mind are Unbound and Rogue Emerald I think, but it's been a while since I played those so they might not have actual modes for it. I'd recommend Fool's Gold if you really want a challenge since it swaps around existing typings so that you never really know what's coming, but unlike a total randomizer you can learn the new typings and plan around them as opposed to just being caught off guard by shit like weird movesets or type combinations every time they come up. Also all the gym leaders keep their original typings (just use new mon) and there's lots of content.any good hacks around that specifically cater to nuzlockers
I am humbled by my own hypocrisy. But I meant more in the sense of narrative. I was wondering if there'd be any interest in a rom where recurring rivals have entirely different teams because you murdered their old one like a psychopath each time you lock eyes. I know there's zero chance it's been done competently since anyone with the technical know how probably simultaneously sucks at writing or has a job somewhere doing that same thing for money instead, but I figure there's some terrible ones around that'd be fun to laugh at.Rich of you to call us autistic right before immediately asking for a nuzlocke mode, but anyways
Unbound and Rogue Emerald
Much obliged!Fool's Gold
I'll go in blind and post a summary of my inevitable demise. Sounds fun.Go in totally blind for the best results (assuming you also want to tell a story as opposed to just crushing your balls with an obelisk).
Fuck, that actually sounds really cool. I had no idea that's what you meant, but now I almost want to see it as a hardcore 3edgy5me hack about how the MC is too strong. Fire Red Rocket Edition sort of tried that but it barely focused on it so now I am left wanting.I was wondering if there'd be any interest in a rom where recurring rivals have entirely different teams because you murdered their old one like a psychopath each time you lock eyes.
That tagline is exclusive to US marketing, even in my country it wasn't about catching it all, it was something like "we have to catch them".>what is the point in catching 'em all in a series whose main tagline and entire purpose consisted almost exclusively of "collect every single monster" (up until Ohmori and co decided that didn't make enough money)
They'd have to approve of that headline, wouldn't they? And have "Catch 'em all!" be something encouraged by the franchise? Besides, the earlier generations start off with the professor explicitly wanting you to catch all the Pokémon available. Not required to beat the game, but it's something you're asked to do.That tagline is exclusive to US marketing, even in my country it wasn't about catching it all, it was something like "we have to catch them".
More than asked to do, encouraged to do and rewarded for doing. The whole idea of Pokemon isn't just battling, it's collecting too. They'd have to approve of that headline, wouldn't they? Not sure about the later games (fifth gen later), the only game where catching is encouraged is fire red and leaf green since the doctor aides give you useful itens for ir. And this was only on fire red, not in the original game. The only ''reward" for completing the dex was a shitty certificate of autism. Something more of a badge of shame than anything grand.More than asked to do, encouraged to do and rewarded for doing. The whole idea of Pokemon isn't just battling, it's collecting too.
I think Gen 3 was partially gated with how many critters that you've seen. Can't really remember how Gen 4 went, but I remember getting something from Rowan's assistant. Not sure about the later games (fifth gen later), the only game where catching is encouraged is fire red and leaf green since the doctor aides give you useful itens for ir.
No, in the original games the more you caught you'd be awarded by Oak's aides. It's one of your primary goals in the story too, plus the certificate. Just because there's not a gun to your head doesn't mean it's not encouraged and rewarded. Not sure about the later games (fifth gen later), the only game where catching is encouraged is fire red and leaf green since the doctor aides give you useful itens for ir. I believe you got an EXP Share from Dawn's/Lucas' father on Route 206 if you have 35 or more Pokémon registered in your PokéDex.I think Gen 3 was partially gated with how many critters that you've seen. Can't really remember how Gen 4 went, but I remember getting something from Rowan's assistant.
Yay, more mobile game garbage and another DLC for the price of a full gen 4 game at MSRP! TPC’s CEO looks more and more like the leader of the bad guy team of the pokemon franchise IRL in every subsequent appearance. We’re about ~13 minutes away from today‘s Pokémon Direct.

Gen 3 had its own issues completing the National Pokêdex at first thanks to it being sealed off from Gens 1 and 2, rendering a big amount of the Johto section of it incomplete. FRLG, Emerald, and the GCN games helped fix that issue.
I shudder at what they're going to do to Entei.
To be honest I had a feeling that Paradox Raikou (the official name is Raging Bolt) was either going to be based off of a pterosaur or some form of sauropod due to Raikou’s storm theme. Ironically enough I was leaning more towards the latter in part due to brontosaurus meaning “thunder lizard” in Latin.
Yeah, this reeks of it being a TPCi production since Championship Points (which are awarded to Play! Pokémon competitors that place well in events like League Challenges/Cups, Regionals, and International Challenges) are straight-up mentioned in the trailer.View attachment 5258754
- This art style needs die. This looks awful and I hate the minority pandering.
