GIMME THE GODDAMN AZ'S FLOETTE!

Maybe it just seems weird for them to break trend from other release trailers especially with it releasing next year with more of a proof of concept trailer and with no shots of ingame engine footage
It's quite weird how they didn't even show a second of gameplay footage, it seems they're still very early in development.

I'm glad they're giving Kalos something as it was very clearly a rush job, but my hope for a Legends game isn't high. Arceus was a boring slog that controlled like shit and looked like it was made in Unity. As for Megas returning, I'm happy to see them back but they should've never left in the first place. It'd be much better to tweak and improve a gimmick over the generations than scrapping it and starting over every new gen.

Unova Stans being mad and dissapointed is beyond funny.
I've seen people laugh at Unova fans but I haven't seen anyone being actually disappointed about the lack of their announcements.
I know I speak for a lot of other Unovafags when I say I'm happy they aren't being dragged through the mud yet.

For the presentation itself, I agree that it was all corpo non-sense nobody asked for, but revisting Kalos like this is a pleasant surprise and a much better way of doing the Z version than just literally re-releasing X&Y at full price with small improvements.

Can’t even imagine being excited for a new legends game. Arceus was one of the worst games I’ve ever played. Pokemon fans do love their slop though
The sad thing is that Arceus looks and feels so much more polished than SV in comparison (even though it's like comparing shit with shittier shit). Let's see if they actually improve upon Arceus or just copy paste the gameplay in their rush to release another game.

If it's the same slop I'm just going to go back to playing Palworld. It would be fun to compare where Palworld is vs the new Legends game.

shut up. you guys are gonna eat this slob whatever you like it or not.
I haven't touched a game since USUM. As much as LA caught my attention, I still didn't touch. I'm still tophatting over BDSP. That shit was heartbreaking.

They'll have to cook this new goyslop to perfection lmao.

As another Unova fan, I very much agree. Watching Game Freak ruin Unova with a shitty remake is a bigger loss than not getting anything at all. I was dreading it.

As for Kalos, even GF must know that the original X and Y are unworkable. They were very bland and their story was bad even by Pokemon standards. A Legends game will allow them to start fresh and develop AZ's story and the main legendary trio's role in Kalos properly.

I hated Ultra Moon so much that I've yet to buy another main series Pokemon game. Watching this franchise go down in mediocrity is a spectator sport for me.

Great, I'm so hyped for a game that fucks up the history of Kalos so it can have a bunch of people hating Pokemon and being assholes to each other and worshipping the ten-year-old player as the only one who can keep the group together fucking somehow. I thought we'd have at least like six years before GF fucked with Kalos again, why's it gotta be like this?

Well at least if "taking place entirely in Lumiose city" is true the taint might not reach too far. Can't wait to see people in this developed city being completely clueless how to interact with Pokemon even though that was literally an aspect of the history via the war. Can't wait for weirdly cynical shit that feels like a western writer subvertionist wrote it that makes it feel like the lesson is "ackshually humans and pokemon can't get along unless the humans grovel to the pokemon". Fuck off. Kieran did nothing wrong

oh, thank god they left Unova alone.

Honestly I agree with the sentiment here that the reveal seems suspiciously barren and the game very early in development, but I am genuinely very happy. Legends was the first game i'd enjoyed since ORAS and I'm more than happy that we're seeing a continuation of it. Also that Kalos is getting the love it needs as opposed to them shitting up a generation that really doesn't need any more attention.

The fact that it seems to be set exclusively in Lumiose is certainly... interesting? I have no idea how that's going to work with PLA's focus on catching wilds and dex completion. Idk. We'll learn more eventually.

The rest of the Presents was boring corpo garbage. Was in doomer pain until the final reveal. I don't believe there are people on this earth braindead enough to have enjoyed any of the first 11 minutes or who think that the whole Presents was good. "New ways to enjoy Pokemon whilst you walk and sleep" sent a chill down my spine and I hate that one of my favorite franchises has to become a slave to corpospeak like this due to its size.

Hoping and praying to God that the game's execution actually ends up interesting at minimum. I don't want this genuine happiness to have been for naught.

Pleasantly surprising that they’re not releasing a new game this year, maybe they’ll have time to actually finish one. But if it’s next year, could that mean the Switch 2 will launch with a new Pokemon?
Almost betting it. We haven’t heard anything about any new big frachise games in development and Zelda always takes yeairs after it’s announced. I think thry are giving Pokemon an extra year to cook so Switch 2 has something, can sell 30 million consoles in a few days whilst also making sure the game runs well enough not to get people mad and blow back in the console.

It could be possible the focus won’t be Dex completion. They might focus on something else. They might see Pokemon Legends being back in time focused around a legendary Pokemon and beyound that the what and the how of the game could be different.

It might not even be modern day person getting flung back in time. However, it is interesting to note that Kalos is the Gen that introduced Hoopa and it has the time rings.

I hope they add a new big mythical. XY doesn’t have a final boss on the level of Arceus or even really a mon that I’d think ‘yeah this feels like a final battle’. Or even a character that feels like it.

It is however worth noting that Arceus was also set in one city. A Lumious in XY branches out into four different directions…

This form was introduced in Alola but that shouldn't stop them.
Yeah. I just feel that, at least based on the anime, it seems kind of fitting if we have that to fight against almost a combination mon of the two legendaries.

Especially when Zygarde’s gimmick in Alola was collect 100 and it could be made into different forms.

Having Zygarde from the start and each milestone giving it another % form would certainly be a way to mark progress.

Working my way up to the Elite Four and beating them, then Gary was more engaging, fun and rewarding than any of the "more, bigger, shinier" junk that Pokemon games have now as their "final bosses".
