Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
it's funny that you linked shuckle as if the hyper-autists in this thread (myself included) won't know which retarded but lovable bug you mean. that thing's defensive stats are monstrous, and i've seen some goofy strats theorized for it, though it seems real hard to pull off in competitive.
This is the set I always use on Shuckle:

Shuckle (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Rest
- Toxic
- Infestation
- Shell Smash

A fully boosted contrary Shell Smash can even shake off super effective moves. This set is basically the ONLY stall set I ever use. All of my pokemon have always been fully offensive sets.

I imagine that's what ultimately became Black City/White Forest.
The same document separately mentions WF/BC by name. Seems like the location was planned early on for Unova.

Assuming you're going for the generic 252/252/4 set...

Ledian (M) @ Charti Berry
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Adamant Nature
- Bug Bite
- Aerial Ace
- Drain Punch
- Swords Dance

I came up with this just now. It's SOMETHING he can abuse at least since he doesn't get Quiver Dance, Calm Mind, or Nasty Plot for his better special attacks.
wow. is ledian's best bug stab seriously bug bite?

I've heard rumblings about a kunihiko yuyama and how he was responsible for a lot of the things fans hated about the Pokemon anime, like Ash not retiring for example, yet also I've heard he's being used as a scapegoat. Is there any truth to that?

Also I've heard that the character Dot wasn't well received by kids but her alter ego Gurumin was. I don't remember the interview where they said that, was that in a leak?

Speaking of the pokephilia leaks, I would say the damage is done. Nobody cares if there was mistranslation or not, Typhlosion/Slaking are always going to be rapists and Lapras/Octillery will always be horndogs wanting human dick.
I think this is missing the point somewhat, but only because what them making a bunch of similar stories [with the first one being about Piloswine of all things being the guy who forces himself on a human] would mean.

It doesn't matter what Pokémon it is because the point is the myth, the folklore, so any Pokémon can be put in there. Humans go into the mountain and the mountain creature takes them away. Humans go to the sea and the sea creature leaves them a rotten kid. Start a war when your wife gets shot by hunters because she was a literal bear and then God comes over and breaks the goddamn planet to pieces to teach you all a lesson.

And of course, in a lot of those stories, there's always a ritual of the dead Pokémon having its eyes, its heart, and its voice sacrificed to a fire, which is supposed to represent Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf [who even get called "Ghost Pokémon" at times]. The concept they were going with is of Sinnoh folklore being all about following rituals and if you don't follow them - if you disrespect nature by overhunting or doing needless harm - you get punished.

[I also find it really amusing that the stories of the Pokémon who takes in a human wife end with the Pokémon getting killed by his wife's family, which he says is inevitable and is why he teaches her the ritual of what to do with his dead body. Meanwhile the stories about the Ursarings involve them massacring an entire village in revenge for overhunting and leaving a baby cub behind to be raised by a survivor so that he can guide the souls of the dead away, which requires that same ritual.]

I'm actually surprised about how many stories they told had to do about bears.

...anyway, my point is, it's not that Typhlosion and Slaking are rapists, it's that EVERY POKÉMON IS A RAPIST OR A HORNDOG and that's fucking hilarious.

But hey, in their lore, Pokémon and humans are literally the kids of Dialga and Palkia respectively, so of course Pokémon would want humans.

"The villagers went back and told the others what they had seen."
LMAO how wild of a day was that for the village.

The craziest shit just went down bro. Remember that weirdo who fucked an octopus? His mutant Squidward spawn told us there would be a whale, so we followed him and then a giant fucking bear runs out of the woods. This nigga ran up and just started punching it, and the bear is kicking his ass. He got in a chokehold, the bear crushes him, and they're both fucking dead!

Keep in mind that because this is supposed to be the same kind of people who think foxes and raccoons are totally shapeshifting into humans to get sex, the kid isn't supposed to look like a fish, it's supposed to look like a normal guy. Who goes around maiming animals for shits and giggles.

Ok, but in this story some dude went:

and that is more than enough to sully the family name and give the kid issues.
His mom even abandoned him, pretty rough upbringing.

No it's Bug Buzz and Air Slash, but again, they're special attacks and not only is it just as bas as the physical attack, but he has no way of boosting it.
He does get Swarm as an ability but that does rely on him surviving long enough to be useful.

Hmm so they planned to have a Mew like being that played off rumour like in Gen 1. Maburon doc seems to be missing.

The bits that weren't scrapped seem to have been absorbed into Vivilion.

The release evo is kinda cool? So it'd be like a roaming legendary you let go? I wonder if it'd be angsty against you.

They made a movie out of that mon it was so cool.

Issue is the fact that Hidden Power did nothing when it clearly should have done something different based on the letter. And considering you find Smeargle nearby, they were obvious willing to get nutty with move pools.
They should have gone all in on Unknown and given it a variable move set determined by its letter and your trainer ID. Have it learn a new move every several levels, but each player's experience with each individual letter will be vastly different because each letter for each trainer will be static, but random. With enough leveling and a small amount of luck you'll get some interesting move combinations.

Fuck it, give it slightly better stats so it's got the potential to actually do something and make the type randomized as well. There's no reason that it should be locked into the psychic type. Let the type be entirely random so if you come across a Letter with moves that cater to a specific type you can grind out for an Unknown of that letter with a type that benefits it.

If I remember correctly, at least in Gen 2, Unown's form and Hidden Power's type and strength were both determined by its IV's, so technically the different letters DID have slightly different functionality and effect from each other. This is why you could only find shiny "I" and "V" letters, because shinyness was based on IV's as well (the letters are a coincedence).

Its true, I remember JRose11 kept resetting for an Unown K for a decent strength Psychic hidden power.
