Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Alright, is this new pocket TCG actually a legit fun little version of it or is it just the usual endless/vacuous gacha wank?
I installed it, was horrified at the 500MB installation and screwing around with it for 10 minutes as I can't even get enough to battle, just makes me wish that there was a modern version of the Game Boy game. It was great—almost every card released at the time, easy to get into, good single-player campaign, and some really catchy music.

I really like the look of this. No other commentary to add; just this really caught my eye.
There is one with groudon, too.

Then they were all perfectly sized.
The switch has the perfect size and handling for fragile soyboy hands.

Started pokémon Glazed. This is my team, sadly my decidueye evolved into hisui form. Too much fighting types in a team....

I still recall a time when Magnemite and Magneton were pure Electric types.
making it part steel kinda makes sense, since appearance-wise it looks like it's made out of metal.

i just think it would have done better with the old typing chart instead of the current one we have. That quad Ground weakness is such a turnoff, especially for something you'd think would have levitate as an ability (like Koffing/Weezing). At least with the old typing chart, it would only have Ground/Water as 2x weakness while being resistant to flying/poison/rock and immune to steel.

Magnemite is overpowered anyway, especially before ghost and dark were neutral to steel. It can have the Air balloon with analytic or safely tank one EQ with sturdy. It scores at least two guaranteed kills each match, if used carefully.

I haven't been keeping up with the leaks, but there have been more XY and SM discoveries since I've checked up last time.
For example

Looks like this gen was going to be much more ambitious. More regional Kanto variants that later became their own Alola Pokemon is interesting to me, as it implies there would be even less new Pokemon than we have now. Tapu Lele was originally going to be on Melemele as well and was a pure Psychic type at one point, meaning that the Tapus all being part Fairy wasn't on the table at the start. I wish we had earlier builds of SM to see what they looked like exactly instead of just design documents.
Speaking of which, I wonder if the links are still up. It's ridiculous that Nintendo has allowed them to stay up for as long as they have.
Edit: Downloads have indeed gone back up
Torrents are still available if the file of your choosing isn't up, Nintendo is actually DMCA'ing these pretty quickly now. Still, funny how unprepared they were for this. I bet some heads were rolling in those offices in the early days of the leak, lmao

>Guardians would act as a 5th move slot
Now that I think about it, there should have been more moveslots opened up with each (or every other) new generation instead of keeping it locked to 4. There's like, what, a thousand of these things now? 4-move slot syndrome is more of a curse than it ever was because of this. There's too many variables to think about because the meta has gotten way too complex. Having one or two more back-up moves would have been a lifesaver, especially for type weaknesses.

Then again, gameFreak decided to remove a lot of moves like Hidden Power, which was a godsend for most pokemon that don't see the light as often.

They thought about adding 5th or even 6th slot for moves in Gen 3, but decided against it as it would be too different from the norm and be a nightmare to balance.
Think how many Pokemon would be too OP if they weren't limited to only 4 moves. Hell, what would stop something like Mewtwo if it had literal perfect coverage against every type in the game?
This was one of the few good calls Gamefreak made, and I hope it stays that way. Them removing moves is just bullshit, but HA was always a weird move, pretty much pointless outside of competitive due to how obscure the mechanics behind it were. God help you if you wanted a perfect HA before they gave it a flat 60 power too, especially in the olden days where you only had one TM per playthru.

I liked the change to Electric/Steel, though they really should've made the Magnemite evolutions have Levitate. It even says they levitate in the Pokedex entries.

Beedrill and Venomoth should've had the Levitate ability too.

The only thing Magnemite line is good for is Magnet Pull. You take that away, and it's yet another shitmon with a stupid gimmick(4x weak ground pokemon immune to ground moves). I'm just fine with it being a Skarmory killer that it is.

As for Beedrill/Venomoth, I will take their stats being boosted, bug counteracts ground weakness so that's not really a big issue. Problem is that almost any neutral move takes a large chunk of their health anyways.

Wouldn't be a stretch, we've already had (((NGOs))) (Aether Foundation, Team Galactic, Plasma) & (((billionaires))) (Lysandre, Chairman Rose) as villains. "X-Files"–style feds being the evil team for Gen 10 could unironically be kino.
There's also evil corporations as well, although Greater Mauville Holdings is only hinted at in ORAS. Despite that they're probably one of the more interesting additions to the lore, being the company that created that created all the stuff named after them, the rival of the Devon corporation before the company was shut down due to environmental concerns, and presumably the 'team' Maxie and Archie were apart of before the formed team Magma and Aqua.

Between your full party you have potentially 24 moves which is plenty. You could throw in another 6 with Z-moves.

The leaked beta content all but confirms that they were both businessmen before they became eco-terrorists. Note that in the original games, both Maxie and Archie wear a suit.

In paldea remakes (gen 27) that launches in the glorious times of white ethnostate, when schwab and fauci are long time dead and the orange man lives on as an ai powered holograph in an indestructible cyborg body powered by Tesla, there will be an evil organisation that tries to to troon out people like they did in 2022. They also forcefully breed Pokémon that look like inbetweeners. Like horribly torturing rapidash to become trans colored and cutting tinkatons dicks off to make them pass as an all female species.
