Anyone seen this new Pokémon fan game? It looks like it's more than just a ROM hack, instead using the Emerald decomplication to create an entire new game?

I found out abou this a few minutes ago! I even was going to post abou this, but I wanted to avoi double-posting.

That would actually be my new dewoking project. I am going to change the 'photo application' screen to a true and honest gender screen.

Why the fuck did I preorder a bunch of Pitch black despite 90% of the set not even being revealed yet?
I saw Mega Zeraora on the art of boosters and it got me. It better be a better set than Perfect order and Ninja spinner.

I opened 30 packs of Perfect order with my nephew and only got 1 art card despite the set being not only dogshit but also really small, He was kinda bummed and my wallet was raped by such a shit set, I didnt even really want any cards from it besides a Clefairy/Clefable art.

Pisces was trashed and bashed solely because of MUH DOCUMENTATION nonsense and sadly they bent the knee eventually if I remember correctly.
It really makes you wonder if the whole “current games sucked” argument was partially self inflicted because many watch the whole thing through thier favorite streamer or straight up look up everything.

Because WotC wanted to make it visually appealing. They lost their rights to print cards because they just kept messing up.

They’re already trying to resell the buttons target was giving away this morning. You don’t hate millennials enough. These things cost nothing and were made to give away to kids and now they’re being sold at such a ridiculous markup because half of these people are desperate for money and another huge chunk are nostalgic retards that can’t move past the original 151.

You do need to know that the people who do this are faggots themselves, so I say both caused the ROM hacking scene to eat at itself this way.

Every video of scalpers video I've seen of this target drop is of niggers and spics lol.

One thing we don't get in Australia is store restocks of cards like America so basically if you dont get on release date or preorder a fuck ton you pretty much miss out on anything major besides Costco releasing the odd bundle or random online drops from JBHIFI that have limits of perchase Per year.
I am hoping that once they do finally upgrade printing/warehouse we not only get more stock but also drops in stores here.

Round this up by 3 and its how many booster boxes Kmart in Australia got on release day

So many of them came in from sneakers and supreme drops. There’s one in the dying mall that has a shop that just sells scalped Pokemon cards, sneakers, labubus and supreme merch.

They’ve had that model for so long, I remember seeing people complaining about diamond and pearl sets being handled that way with big box stores.

I know this however the idea of documentation can also surge from the fact that most hacks are vanilla+ that gets drowned in an ocean of vanilla+ hacks.

So it makes sense for them to have documentation but an original hack doesn't need to.

I never heard of this (though I barely heard of Pisces to begin with), I looked it up and for fuck's sake the amount of asshurt over the lack of documentation is gay. There's a bunch of valid complaits and even some regarding the lack of documentation but from what I can see it mostly stems from mechanics not being properly explained in game (among a few other things, such as gym leaders having illegal Pokémon and the unexpected difficulty curve, which boo hoo nigger) or anywhere else.
I'm cautious about this new Monomyth romhack coming out as it looks somewhat meh to me so far (I cannot deny that a lot of work was put into this at least) but if it gets torn apart and memory holed because of a lack of "muh documentation" then that would truly and honestly suck. Pisces had some questionable decisions that should have been talked about more than the lack of documentation so I hope this game doesn't suffer that fate as well.

More generally, would not others just make their own documentation based on their experiences of the game... the same way game FAQS were made?

I don't think it's detrimental to a player's experience to lookup more nuanced details about a new move or ability. Especially if there are supposedly 360 new species bringing all of these new things in.

It's not like anyone browses a wiki to spoil everything for themselves, it's just to find clarification on something you're partially aware of. Not that it matters anyway who cares if someone wants to spoil something for themselves. Policing the sacred Pokémon texts is silly. lol
