Pro tip: If you have a KO'd compound eyes pokemon in the front of your party, and a frisk + thief mon second, you can farm items pretty quickly
t. Have 9 lucky eggs in HGSS

Edit: For context, there was a chansey swarm, which bumped the encounter rate from 1%, (or 4% with repels), to a flat 40%

This reminded me of another ability: Suction Cup.
Starting from HGSS, it increases the chance of catching something while fishing even if fainted- i think 100% guaranteed- however this doesn’t work in DPPt due to an error fuck up.
Now take a wild guess what they did in absolutely not a shameless cash grab of a remake BDSP?
That’s right!
They kept the error as is / intentionally made this ability has no effect outside of battle.
The fact there are people genuinely defending this trash is borderline brain damage.

Did anyone here ever play Sky Twilight?

This is my team for now.

Saiph 2 has a problem that the map really fucking sucks and you get lost so many times that I ended up opening another game.

I'm currently playing through FRLG*. I have a question about Route 13. Specifically the spot where you turn off of Silence Bridge and reach the fenced area.

I could have sworn that one of the beauties in that spot was standing on an item, and when they walked south to meet you for the first time was your only chance at getting a Soothe Bell. I made them walk downwards, walked around to their spot and nothing. I mashed A while facing all directions and there was no item.

Bulbapedia doesn't show any items for that spot either. Am I being Mandela'd? The memory of getting an item in that spot is so strong I'm actually starting to think I slipped into a parallel universe.

* It's actually a 150 hack.

Did a quick search and it's showing the Soothe bell is at the top floor of the tower in Lavender.

You've been mandela'd. Which given the Lavender town connection is a tad spooky.

This is a desperate format, you can tell when there’s mention of decks like festival lead and rocket’s mewtwo.
Looks like Pitch Black is going to be yet another set with zero meta impact unless Zeraora is actually good.
Cyhtias Garchomp would be like second best deck if everyone wasnt playing slopbox with grass oger and festival lead.

I'm not playing a deck called fucking festival lead thats gay as shit.

It’s not even a fun deck, it’s just a meme like that one slowking deck people insist was going to break the format.

People keep claiming X will beat Dragonpault but even if thats the case there are so many other crabs in the bucket keeping X down that no deck is really a threat to it.
Like if nobody was playing retarded decks like Festival and treating it like its a threat then yea Garchomp actually would be a threat and now everyone is playing a slopbox with 5000 antipult cards it cant beat any other deck.

At this point just play whatever pet deck and have a ‘pult deck on the side.

From an interview about Champions:

>well we think about which pokemon to add and then we add them
Thank you Pokemon Champions producer, very cool
You know, they could have told us they just throw darts at a board full of pokemon pictures and it would have made more sense than this non-answer they gave.

Has anyone tried pairing a contrary Serperior with something with strength sap in doubles? I suggested as much to my friend who was running a Serperior with scale shot.
Should be fine. According to Bulbapedia, Strength Sap takes Contrary into consideration. Still restores HP at +6 Attack (supposedly)

My debit card was recently charged for my Chaos Rising preorders so those might come next week or the week after, it’ll depend on if FedEx doesn’t fuck shit up. And they will.

Kinda a doodoo set overall but I've got some on preorder and of corse hope to pull the mega frog, knowing my luck though ill end up getting the gold card over the art card if I get it.
The gold card looks so bad like half its head is covered in text, they coulda just moved the star up a bit so it was more of a focal point.
I've liked the gold cards so far and actually look really good in person but this point and I guess zygarde because zygarde is ugly are shit.

I realize it would work on a technical level, I was just asking if anyone tried it in actual battle/how it fares, etc., although I hadn't really considered what strength sap would do at max stats, but I had probably seen that before. Strength sap is a fantastic move. It's a shame it isn't used more, but I guess there are only a few Pokémon that can learn it. Did you guys know that big roots boost it? It's kind of OP.

Got this guy in my recommendeds, and I gotta say: pretty cozy vids. It's just an autistic rambling and showing off his favorite glitches in early pokemon, but it hits the spot for me. The sandstorm + spikes setup was neat, and I'm surprised if never heard of it before lol
