God.... The timeline of pokemon is pretty fucked up now that I think about it - Skitty being mentioned in James' past? Really makes ya wonder about that sort of continuity on things, ya know?

Well, for one in terms of continuity..the entirety of the first..what 10 seasons of the show take place in the span of less than one year..because One of the later seasons (like..X/Y or Sun/Moon) stated that Ash is -STILL- 10. He has not had a birthday in the entire series apparently.

I mean, tbh, if I were in the world of pokemon I would be craving a slab of Miltank steak. If their milk is as good as the games say it is, then just imagine what the meat is like.

Making real animals "nonexistant" after gen1 was THE dumbest shit they did with their worldbuilding. If anything, they could've "character-ise" or "humanise" pokemon way more easily without resorting to furries with actual, dumber and blander-looking animals around.

I mean, to be fair, this was gen 1. Y'know, back when a good bit of the animals that showed up there didn't have a pokemon equivalent yet. I guarantee you that if all the pokemon that we have now somehow existed back then, the realistic animals wouldn't be there. Besides, I perfer the toony look of the pokemon.

Maybe not them. Corphish and Crawdaunt are based on crawfish. We don't have a lobster pokemon... yet.
