Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

I wish more Pokémon games would have an actual orchestral soundtrack. Let's Go, Eevee/Pikachu proved it's a beautiful upgrade, and so since the Gen IV remakes will be expected to be on Switch, there's no reason to not give them the same treatment with the soundtrack.
Maybe Pokémon will become like Sonic in that most people will remember the music more than anything.

Sinnoh had some jazzy tunes, so I look forward to seeing how they remake them (I think they would at least do the music right; the worst that would happen is some songs getting cut because they decide to remove things that said songs are dependent on).

I think the day and night cycle will stay, though I guess it's always possible they'll cut out the night tunes to "save space/time" or whatever.

DPPT's music had some real charm with its MIDI instruments to me, but I AM looking forward to what they could do with an orchestral soundtrack. Even if I'm pessimistic about the game quality Sinnoh had some great songs that'll be even better remastered.

Gen 4 definitely has the most nostalgic soundtrack for me, aside from Gen 2 since that's when I started playing Pokemon. There's so many good jazzy and calm songs in gen 4.
Route 209 is always a good one for relaxing.

Edit: To add, they did that touring Pokemon Symphony a couple years back, and did some Gen 4 songs.
Maybe a taste of what's to come.

I loved the SwSh soundtrack and definitely think it's the high point of Gen 8 aside from comp QoL changes. I don't see this being far from what might eventually happen if the games continue to deteriorate in quality.

This one is burned into my eardrums.
I think it would be cool if they actually incorporated the Mystery Zone into the game and allowed you to go there. Maybe Dialga/Palkia could open a weird rift in space-time.

Competitive QoL changes that barely matter because of the stupid fuckin’ 20 minute time limit. Can we maybe get with and without time limit ladders?
Also, obligatory fuck Toxapex and Clefable.

Nothing beat hatching eggs in the open void of the Mystery Zone.

And on your point, it would have better fit Arceus or Darkrai. Considering your SOL without an AR or in Darkrai's case, going to the actual event or again, the AR, the void glitch in the Mystery Zone works, if it was truly legit. Arceus for the similarities to God by being encountered while walking around in nothingness, and Darkrai for obvious reasons.

The legend stated that humans and Pokémon at one point were rather equal or "alike" in some way, and they're more intelligent than the average animal, for sure. Although it's always been noted only a handful of species are intelligent enough to understand human speech even if they can't talk back in the same manner (usually), which is weird since as long as a Trainer took care of their Pokémon and treated them well, they will obey orders (and it didn't have to be anything about battling, too) and love them unconditionally, so it's hard to say. Think only certain Pokémon were marriage candidates, so like for instance, it was considered "inappropriate" or even "unethical" to marry a baby Pokémon, or that it'd raise some eyebrows if you married a Magcargo.

Given it never went into great detail about it and it probably wasn't something that lasted very long in Sinnoh folklore, the fans I think just took it to mean it super literally and that nothing was off the table, and then the Poképhiles began to openly run amuck. I dunno.

Also that wasn't a real Machamp, it was just a suit and the guy got mad at you for chasing away the girls since no one was supposed to know it was a disguise. Still is weird that they assumed it was a real Machamp and still fawned over it, though.
It must've been a pretty convincing disguise, then. Reminds me of that cursed image about the kid petting what appears to be a big dog, only for it to actually be someone in a fursuit.

If you encountered Arceus in the Mystery Zone that would be SO CREEPY. I love it.

I've played all the gen of pokemon form first to this current gen. loved all the pokemon eventually...exspet stunfisk fuck that dumb fish.

You can’t get it legitimately, but you can have someone generate a legitimate-looking Zarude for you (try Juno_87 on Twitch). Don’t feel bad, even people who tried to get a code usually didn’t.
Thanks for the help, I usually play Pokémon to catch ‘em all and stupidly thought the expansions would add in all the missing Pokémon so I waited.

How is the competitive scene? I’d like to get into competitive battling but it’s always seemed like an uphill struggle to breed the perfect Pokémon and figure out IVs and EVs.

Once Pokemon are to level 100 in SS you can spend Bottle Caps to max out a Pokemon's IVs, and raid Pokemon are guaranteed 4 perfect IVs. EVs can be bought with vitamins, and you usually just invest one Attack and Speed or HP. You even get cheap bulk drugs in the Isle of Armor DLC. The elimination of tons of Pokemon and moves like Hidden Power and Pursuit makes trying competitive a lot easier since there are fewer moving parts that you have to memorize.

Don't worry about perfection if you're just going to battle in Ranked online, no one else does until you get into higher tiers. I've seen like 1 meta-cancer team in Great Ball tier is all.

It’s kind of cool that you can actually make your regular Pokémon viable, but on the other hand it feels almost like an in universe pay to win mechanic.
Thanks for the help everyone, I appreciate it!
