Police report shooting near rally site as event concludes​

Kansas City Chiefs fans took to the streets of the city for something NFL fans hadn’t been able to do in 20 years: celebrate a second consecutive Super Bowl championship. Kansas City saluted its third championship in the Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid era on Wednesday, with a boisterous parade in the city’s streets followed by a victory rally.


But the event ended in chaos, with police reporting that shots were fired near the site of the rally. Local television live streams showed parade-goers running in the area around Union Station, near where the rally was held, and police entering the building. “Shots were fired west of Union Station near the garage and multiple people were struck,” Kansas City police said on social media. “We took two armed people into custody for more investigation.”

Police said the shooting occurred west of Union Station near the end of the rally that followed the parade, according to KMIZ, the local ABC affiliate.
Local television live streams showed people running around the area and police entering the building. Some officers around the perimeter were seen with guns drawn.

They're already blaming it on Missouri and Kansas having constitutional gun laws. Because having impulse control and not shooting someone who "disrespek'd" you is white devilry and stuff.

If a gun was concealed, how would a permit law have stopped this?

Have they even confirmed the shooters weren't felons?

Are they advocating for stop, identify, and frisk?

TBH what it actually is is that nothing exciting ever happens here. Almost all of the news reports around KC to Topeka are just stories about missing dogs or feel good stuff. There is a nightly "here is the list of basketball americans who killed eachother in the hood" section but other than that nothing ever happens.

I always find it interesting,

So when the calls for more gun control is heeded and legislation passed the results seem to be a higher number of POC being arrested for such offenses.

In addition to an increase in arrests, arrests for UUW are also much more likely to involve Black individuals than are arrests for other crimes; in 2019, 42% of all people arrested for weapon offenses in the United States were Black

  • Calls by Social Justice Activists to disband police units focused on gun control violations.
  • A handful of prosecutions for false statements on 4473 where about 112,000 of these violations were recorded and only about 300 cases being pursued.
  • Progressive D.A. not charging for firearms enhancements.
Christ, these fucker calling for more gun control are one sobbing / sad Nigger away for calling for less police in targeting prohibited possessors or firearms charges.
