Should sticker notifications be brought back?

Or perhaps fewer posts, page loads and activity in general because people aren’t as engaged without the “push” of notifications? I’ve seen quite a few comments from people saying the site feels quiet. There’s less immediacy.
It’s one way to reduce bandwidth and server load I guess.
You also have to remember it was the weekend. Less people are on because they’re free from the shackles of a desk.
Also wow people on this forum are just completely incapable of ignoring obvious bait/faggots with nothing of value to add
I’m amazed most of these people have been using this forum for ages and still haven’t been able to deflect obvious bait. quite cringe really.

I'm fairly certain my reaction counts are off by quite a bit, I mean the math doesn't even add up.

I think there is an argument to be made where it's a more efficient use of everyone's time to inform someone that their opinion is garbage with the simple click of a button assigning them a trashcan instead of quoting them and telling them "your shit is all retarded and you talk like a fag lmao"
No, we should just remove the reply function for trust and safety
But who are the contingent who were complaining about negative reactions so much? At first it seemed to be blamed on furry ERP chatters.
It seems unlikely that Null would go out of his way to cater to people like that? So it must have been other DM chains than the furry ERP ones, but then, which kind of people?
My guess is he made the dm rule discussions thread, saw many disagreeing with his opinion on why dms are good/bad, instead of doing the needful he tunnel visioned on one guy saying "stickers" and become obstinate&/retarded, then progressively doubled down, made several purely spiteful changes, until the crescendo in the null's love sticker being added, he seemed to either come to some level of sense or become exhausted from chimping so hard

I am impressed by the duality of your high levels of both optimism and rage. The very high autism is very unsurprising, though, considering what site we're on.

I'm not sure how being able to chimp out like a retard the moment someone disagrees with you by just clicking a button is "functionality." It sounds more like just enabling a faggot to fag up the place by fagging out when someone clicks a button disagreeing with them. I think nool basically just removed a way for redditor-types to chimp out.
"Chimp out"
Nigger calm down lol stickers were fun.
The site becoming less fun for the sake of "are we the redditors now?" is retard energy.
Maybe we should create a formal letter from the community expressing our concerns with the recent actions? It has to be better than just bitching in this thread.
[@ me if you want to join the DM group.]
I'm sure that will go great and there's absolutely no chance that a sperg like Josh will read it and laugh before deciding to fuck with people more. You should be sure to tag him in the DM group too so he can be involved from the ground up.

How long does it take for autists to get used to change? Or is it just not possible? I admire the energy to keep up this tard meltdown over so many days.

Edit: it seems Null did just about everything wrong that this guide says you should do to help your autistic children deal with changes to their routines.

I understand the intention behind these changes, but one should probably remember not to take life too seriously. You should try to strike a balance between what is honest and true and what is fun. People are here for both of those reasons. Nothing wrong with displaying how old your account is in this forum, for example. Unsure why you'd move that away.

I think Null should've just made a site wide PSA saying "Stop being a sticker faggot". Some responsibility should lie on the users. I think this is a nudge towards "Nanny Null State" direction.

You're in kiwifarms. These are the expected parameters.

I still can't get my head around how me no longer being able to see when someone put a little love heart on my comment solves whatever retarded thing that caused all this gay retarded spergery. Someone please educate me.
It doesn’t. But I think we’ll have to give Null the benefit of the doubt in thinking that it would help, on top of any underlying enmity towards stickers in general.

You see, stickerchild, that there are certain users that did not like their posts being rated "dumb" or "autistic" and being notified of this constantly caused them an immense amount of stress. They could not disable sticker notifications (an existing feature) because they need to know when their posts are being rated and would turn the notifications back on even if it were disabled for them. Mind you, some of those users are in this very thread and making only the highest quality posts.

So the answer is to remove notifications for everyone, including the option to opt in to them, so these users will not be tempted to turn them on anyway and can finally feel safe posting about whatever it was that caused them to face such unjust ridicule in public threads to begin with. Not to mention, restoring the option now would be a sign of weakness and we can't have our Dear Leader showing any signs of that in these dangerous times, now can we?

If you find yourself skeptical of the believably of this explanation and feel motivated to speculate on whether or not these same users who cannot handle neg-rating notifications are also users who donate heavily to the forum for such special considerations or have some other form of leverage over Nulltax . . . well, fuck you! That just means you're a dopamine addicted stickernigger. You just don't understand that by protecting a specific cohort of users from the consequences of their own bad posts, engaging in arbitrary decision making and mod-favoritism, all that stuff makes the website LESS like reddit somehow.

Looks like Null could make a lot of money selling stickers during the next merch run.

“REACH, REACH!” -Anne Sullivan to Helen Keller as she reached for water, blind, deaf, & dumb, yet murmured, “wawa,” in that weird voice that deaf people develop. Helen Keller learned to sign that day, all because Anne Sullivan went the extra mile by smearing her face in muddy water at the water pump while spelling out the word, w, a, t, e, r, with her fingers in Helen’s palm, & it all finally clicked. Breakthrough.

But surely the retarded should be informed of their retardation otherwise how will they learn to not be retarded, especially those who may or may not have some influence over our glorious leader.

Well you forget that sometimes those meting out sticker-retribution are themselves retarded. They may be following certain especially sensitive users all around the website and giving every single one of their posts a mean react! Obviously this is not in the spirit of stickers at all, which is why the answer is not to deal with these individual users (the prospect of such a Herculean labor causes the poor overworked jannies tear up and tremble with anxiety) but rather to remove the feature entirely.

Lol their are actually people who would spend the time doing that?, those people must also be informed of their retardation maybe through stickers. Let both sets of retards autistically sticker each others posts with autism stickers to allow us to know who all the retards are. Jannies obviously shouldn't have to bring retribution to sticker abusers, that would not be fair on the Jannies at all.
