Should sticker notifications be brought back?

I'm not sure how being able to chimp out like a retard the moment someone disagrees with you by just clicking a button is "functionality." It sounds more like just enabling a faggot to fag up the place by fagging out when someone clicks a button disagreeing with them. I think nool basically just removed a way for redditor-types to chimp out.
But it doesn't really fix a problem, people can still see that someone neg rated their post and retaliate against them. Now it just takes a bit longer for them to notice.

They made the site feel more alive (maybe this will change after I get used to no stickers).
That is a big one for me. After a while I start to see familiar names interact with my posts and every so often I would check out their profile and leave them a comment. It's dumb, but having the "X rated your post Y" does make me feel more a part of the community than just posing and leaving it for the void.

I think there is an argument to be made where it's a more efficient use of everyone's time to inform someone that their opinion is garbage with the simple click of a button assigning them a trashcan instead of quoting them and telling them "your shit is all retarded and you talk like a fag lmao"
I see no particularly good reason they need to be notified about that so they can immediately start chimping out though. If they want to go full chimp mode they should have to put forward a bit of effort to find out people disagreed with them so they can commence chimping.

That's bad why?
Because it didn't fix the problem and made the experience worse for everyone else. The people who are crying to Null over neg rates will still do so because already they had the option to disable sticker notifications on their own, but apparently that wasn't good enough for them. So how is disabling sticker notifications for everyone going to help?

I will take the negrates now.
You fool, we have already discussed why that doesn’t work! Prepare to receive the negrate of a life time!

The dune coom bucket!

Now that we are not keeping track of points, maybe there is less math going on in the background?
points are still being kept track of since user profiles show positive / negative reaction score, it's probably just users not obsessively checking their alerts to see reactions

Because some of us have jobs and don't want to have to jump through hoops to find basic information on the stupid lolcow site they like reading through on there 15 minute tea break!!!!, faggot.

Possible. Less elements to pull from the database to generate a page so it loads a tad bit faster. Or it's just a placebo/something else was improved. The sticker score still operates behind the scenes as usual, but the pages users load now load a bit less things, so for example when you open a thread it doesn't have to pull everyone's registration date to show under the avatars, that's delegated to the hover element that loads separately.

But that again doesn't really make sense because the sticker score never was shown on a thread page to impact the loading times, it was always pulled live but only once you hovered over a username, clicked on the sticker count under a post and so on, so you had to invoke the load of those manually. So yeah it's most likely a placebo.

Another issue is that even getting reply notification is broken and I find people replying to me without any notification (think it's connected to multi replies)
you should post it in the tech grievances thread. it's working fine for me. as a note though, i don't think it works if someone edits in a reply to you - i could be wrong mind.

Nigger you live in a glass house when talking about site activity
I don't post nearly as much as they do, or you do, lol. Also, remember that time you got so assblasted about me not loving Republicans with every fiber of my being like you do that you faildoxed me on my profile, and when it was pointed out that the dox were so obviously fake that anyone with a room temperature IQ would know they were fake you deleted it like a little bitch so I got Null to restore it? That was funny.

See, keep on telling the same lie, Hulk was the one reee'ing that he got tophats all the time with his dumb TDS and Covid shit. (and he's a massive paypig supposedly)

The people in the DM chain in that drama were just avoiding him shitting up threads (cause he used to make any thread into a huge slapfight with him cause he had to save KF from da nazees), the tophats and trashcans from him didn't bother any of them (that I recall).

There are a few very loud people that would love to see this place be more like Something Awful is politically, and if you were there for that transformation you can see the same tactics at use here. Been pointing it out for years even. (lies / misrepresentation / reductive language / cry bullying / DARVO)
Despite what your fellow angry incels have told you, I have never given Null any money. I know you're a proud, impressionable simpleton, but you gotta stop believing everything you read on KF. I know this is a very hard fact for you eternally assblasted virgins to believe, but Null has repeatedly said that not loving Republicans with every fiber of your being is not a bannable offense. You gotta accept the fact that not everyone loves Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Mitch McConnell as much as you do.

The DM chain was hilarious and you defending it now is even funnier. Sorry that this site isn't the bible thumping elderly hugbox you were told it is.

Or perhaps fewer posts, page loads and activity in general because people aren’t as engaged without the “push” of notifications? I’ve seen quite a few comments from people saying the site feels quiet. There’s less immediacy.
It’s one way to reduce bandwidth and server load I guess.
