The font used in New Posts is triggering me.

That’s only really the case if like I wanted to make a jack scalfani thread. Sometimes threads are so old (dating back to 2015) that you kind of have to.

In your case people interloped your server (which in itself pretty gay so sorry for that bud) and therefore you could of made “abbadons gate mega rad cyberpunk thread - I and others actually enjoy the game let’s praise the game!”
Good to know for the future, thank you.

If only.

Edit: Nevermind, i misread and thought you were talking about @Lidl Drip . Her shit got boring months ago and she's a thin-skinned bitch compared to other females on the site.
Wait that's a woman? Like actually a woman with correct chromosomes, not like a "Keffals woman"? Hmm... Ok then.

Back on subject: I take Issue with Josh telling people how to use the site "correctly" I think that is a very bad idea regardless the policy subject and my opinion of such. If someone violates the TOS or the unspoken TOS do what you want. I find it all bit hypocritical someone with a track record of having low/no patience and even less attention wants to remove the minimal engagement posts of one-liners that are the largest ratio of stickers to actual effort.

Another issue is that even getting reply notification is broken and I find people replying to me without any notification (think it's connected to multi replies)
I have had that issue for months now and it's not limited to multi replies.
"Never meet your heroes,” they say. With everything come to light in this thread I’ve become... disillusioned, at best.
Nigger, he's a sperg admin of a sperg forum filled with spergs. I neither get the cult of personality around nor the, at times, extreme vitriol directed at Null. Just reading some posts by him when i was not regged yet and lurking told me he's not exactly a people person and i am fine with that, he's like a lot of other admins in that regard.

It would be nice, but I don't wanna be the retard to ask Dear Leader to do even more in light of how annoyed he sounded during Friday's MATI. That can be some other poor retard.
But why do you need a separate page for that? You get that info clicking on the bell if you have notifs for replies not disabled. It's why I was able to do a quick reply to you in another thread and then go back and give you a nice rating for your next comment. :)

I have to say that although I've given reasons why I liked the reaction notifications and the scores, if the user base has a significant number of retards actually seriously trying to game/farm positive reactions by posting garbage in high-traffic threads, or freaking out to mods/admin that their ratio sinks when they give objectively stupid takes or in the heat of butthurt over a mati rating, I guess I get why Null is irritated by it.

I did like to see/be able to assess ratios of points-to-comments, though I guess # of posts is also a useful standalone data point. Mainly so as not to bite bait in a quick moment, or at least know I was probably doing so.

Side note - having "recent in my watched/posted in" at the top of the main page has tended to send me back to a smaller selection of threads, because the list changes quickly and very active threads tend to crowd out less active ones. Might be a consequence of phone reading/ adjustment to info arrangement, and it's not a big deal, just a little feedback.

I'll be honest I agreed that it would be nice, but I don't really think its necessary. Besides I'm also pretty sure if you click the bell twice it'll take you to a page that is effectively just that now that the sticker reactions are gone.

I would actually be very interested to see if the ling all-in of people spamming featured threads is reduced by this, or even better if the amount of politsperging that goes in on A&N drops off because the echo chamber validation is no longer as apparent.

I will readily admit that I have been in arguments on the Farms before where I feel as though two sides of an issue arose and it was just a matter of trading tit for tat and then waiting for stickers to roll in.

And while I enjoyed his posting a fair amount, when I looked at an account like Matt Damon's, I have to wonder how much his reaction score (which at one point in time was fairly high) was due to the fact that he primarily posted in A&N and then later threads like the Woman Hate Thread.

I would endeavor to say most of my reaction score when it was still visible came from posting on A&N and while I was not actively farming reaction for any such reason, having the correct opinion while being there immediately gives you a boost.

This is a bad take. I'll use the Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread as an example. Right after 2.0 launched the game was massively improved and Kiwis that wanted to talk about it went to that thread, only to be met by constantly shit tier posts from people still angry about the game's launch state two years ago, who hadn't played the game since, and would post stupid shit like "Did they completely remake the whole story yet?"
You went into a thread called Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread and were shocked by the lack of well measured and nuanced replies.

Not even God can help you.

This entire thing is pathetic, gay, and demoralizing
if it means anything while I expressed some mild hesitancy about the change as first for some of the reasons others listed (and my autism) since the change was implemented I realize I have reduced the amount of times I would just instinctually open up the site to see how many sticker notifications I amassed and browse through them. Now I visit on a less neurotic basis and mostly to just catch up on my 4 watched threads not just to see how big the number by the bell. As someone who doesn't appreciate this type of instinctual behavior being encouraged when facebook or twitter does it, I am now seeing this as an improvement for myself and my user experience now that I've had some time to get used to it. If I really want to see my reacts I will just click the new tab for it which I do but on a much less frequent basis than I was checking when it was explicit sticker notifications.

Not a stress issue. Its a 'Flooding my notifications with non-responses' issue. If I'm having an ongoing conversation with one or two people, and several abject retards don't like it, it is much easier for them to collectively spam me with useless information relative to the actual useful notifications I'm wanting to receive.
So despite having notifications turned on, they didn't give you an indication of new content you wanted to engage with? Crazy. That was one of the main reasons people cited to bring them back.

Why not just have the self discipline of making the choice to visit KF as you think you should? You have just demonstrated that the lack of notifications is making you visit the site less and lose interest in it. If that is in fact the goal of this change it's successful, I can't imagine that is what Josh wanted to achieve.

As a newfag with mostly negative feedback from my fellow users I for one applaud the changes jersh has made to the farms.

I no longer cringe when I sign in and find nothing but autistic and islamic and dumb notifications. Now I can just post anything that comes to mind and not even think about what I post ever again and I'll never get another reminder about how retarded anything I post is ever again.

If the user experience favors (once again, let me save this to a fucking notepad or something) a completely arbitrary and random sequence of notifications about users liking any of your posts in any thread at any time regardless of what other events have transpired in that thread since you made that post, the design is broken. It is fundamentally fucking broken and it has encouraged people to use it wrong. If something is built to be used one way and people prefer clicking random fucking links flowing into your alert tray at complete random, then it is broken.

I guess I need to take a class on how to explain things without pissing people off because there is no way you a rational person can sit down and independently come to the conclusion that this "user flow" is what is the most correct and ideal way to use the fucking site, and that the absolute best way to find posts to read and threads to participate in is a random flood of notifications about random fucking button presses on random fucking posts at all times of the day.

So lets UNPACK THIS and CONSIDER IT IN A NEW LIGHT. It's not you, humble user, enjoyer of forums, using the site wrong, it is I and my website and in particular XenForo which is wrong and has forced you, the innocent victim of circumstance, to do things in a weird and less than ideal way, to try and figure out this sick, twisted UX thrust upon you. How can I, humble servant, make literally anything else more desirable so you can STOP IT? What can I, mere shitstirrer who only exists to improve your UX, do to help you enjoy the site EVEN MORE and in better ways???
You see? I read this and think “he’ll be a good dad one day”.

But I also read it and think “boy he’s going to fuck off his woman royally”.

If anyone “needs” to see their last post, go to your own profile & look at “latest activity.” There is a fix for everything anyone could possibly bring up ITT. The point will continue to be missed in favor of stuffing (wrong) words in someone’s mouth, over & over.

Some of the craziest parts of this thread were the theories about Nulls reasoning, all of which were more a reflection of the individual poster than Null. Especially posting pictures of his mom, all over STICKERS. Wait, the actual dumbest post was the one where some sticker lover claimed everyone who disagrees with him is “just like a tranny.” No one gives a shit how the complainers spin it, this was taken too far for what it was by the “yes” voters. The complaints about shit posts not being in good faith were nominally funny because it was clear that some ITT were so far up their own asses that they’d lost any sense of humor they were lucky enough to possess. They came out of this in a bad way due to how far they took it.

They can’t even listen to anyone but Null, while claiming otherwise, blaming everyone else, & took it to a ridiculous place. It’s stickers. Stickers. Rate my post with one. Look, they aren’t gone. You’re using them, you can still see them if you have eyes that work. It’s not Hollywood Hulk Hogan or Lidl Drip or anyone else. It’s you, if you’ve been acting like an asshole about this. If you take such petty things this far, you are exactly who has been filing the abundant reports about stickers all along. Complaints about post quality are pretty ridiculous, too. Sure. Your contributions are so amazing. It’s one thing to describe your position or thinking, that’s respectable, even upon disagreement. It’s another thing all together to try & paint things in a ridiculous display of manipulation tactics that even the most blind deaf & dumb could easily see through.

I think you started off berating the sticker lovers, but it deviated into ranting over...Actually I'm not sure who you're mad about.

Paragraph etiquette is real, man.

I disagree on this, it isn't so much I'm visiting the site less but I'm having less "log in to check notifications and then close the tab" more than anything. My keeping up with threads and post frequency is about the same I believe the watched threads being at the front now replaces opening up my common threads I post in frequently. The only thing I check less up on now is the A&N news threads I post in but I don't usually have followups on those regardless.

I will concede maybe an ideal situation is to have the option and leave the default as "don't show" if I had known how much I now prefer sticker notifications off I would have turned the option off when you had the choice but ultimately that's up to null. I'm more trying to say that I do see a logic behind null's reasoning based on my own experience with site use and I don't think he's gone coo-coo for cocoa puffs in spite of my initial dislike of the change.

yeah no shit and that's mostly because of sticker farmers jumping into every feature and shitting out the most obvious surface-level observations humanely possible to get winner ratings
That's busch league sticker farming you fucking casual. See, to get the big league stickers you have to actually use the site and when you think something is feature worthy, you make sure you put your bullshit, surface level comment on it really early, then link that post in community happenings.

Also comment mostly in threads Null is active in since a bunch of losers follow him all around the website.
