Or, instead of leaving the page and clicking through 3 sections to find that out, I could have just clicked the notification bell, seen 2 of that at a glance and guessed the third. From any page, in real time.

This is like saying "why are you mad someone blew up the bridge, you can just swim across the river lmao".
Yeah you might burn an extra calorie moving your big sausage finger to click twice instead of once. Lmfao what a fucking overreaction. What do you do if nobody reacts to your post? I guess you completely forget that the thread exists?

"AAAHH YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!! HAVING TO CLICK TWICE IS AN INSURMOUNTABLE EFFORT THAT I JUST AM UNWILLING TO DO! IT'S LITERALLY LIKE CLIMBING MOUNT EVEREST!"

It's not that it's too difficult, it's that it adds friction and effort to something that used to be relatively easy. Personally, I don't always have time so sit and dick around and click through a bunch of shit when I browse the farms, sometimes I just want to quickly look at something, so I would go, find a sticker notification from that thread, read down from where I last posted and that was that. This requires like 2 or 3 extra clicks and searching through a list of shit now.
So instead of clicking the notification "retardfucker69 replied to the thread 'I can't believe we're still arguing about this gay shit'", you search through the sea of reaction notifications in hopes that there's something new to read?

Well see then you use that time to pick another popular thread, only read the last page, announce that you hate whatever everyone else seems to be hating, and move on.

Reactions: The Noticer
Literally unbelievable that people have been using reaction notifs to find threads lmao. Like if your post receives no reacts you can never find the thread again??? I am just shocked how many people are too retarded to use a forum with very simple features.
This also misses the point of... if I am strictly navigating off saving watched threads, that necessarily means I will have to manage that and continuously add and remove threads that I wanted watched... for long standing threads like Ethan Ralphs twitter feed or Chantals thread, you will add them and never remove, but what about threads like this or article and news threads where you may be temporarily engaging in discussion, but you will never use that thread after a week or less? I'd prefer not have to solely rely on a system where I have to constantly add and remove threads from the watched section.

Yeah I think this "clicking on a thread instead of my react notifications is too much effort" thing is just an excuse because it's just so so so retarded and I am unwilling to believe you are actually that lazy, the real problem is lack of dopamine and they're just too embarrassed to admit it. I bet these are the sort of people who would never post an unpopular opinion in fear of bad stickers and who lose their mind if they ever get a trashcan.

All your replies to threads can be found on your profile. Literally just click on them from there. Or just navigate to the thread yourself?? Are you able to cross the street without someone holding your hand?

People react to things getting worse for no reason, wow, what shock. Wait until you find out about lolcows, people who make their own lives worse for no reason.

Look I don't expect you to understand lofty concepts like "technology", but generally its point is to make things faster and more efficient. If you take technology and make it slower and less efficient, with no additional benefit, you are moving it in the wrong direction.

Nigga, why make it two when it was already one? Less is more and the fact is, whoever didn't like sticker notifications could turn them off.

If I have a choice between doing something in one click or doing it in more than one click, I would prefer doing it in one click.

The problem with those notifications is the alert disappears even if you don't go and read the thread. There's also the matter of, if I see I got a bunch of reactions, there's a good chance the thread is fairly active, with watched threads there's no way to gauge whether it's just a single post or a bunch of posts.

Null should put everything on the front page so I never have to click anything

Have you clicked the "watched threads" button even once

And how do sticker notifications tell you a single fucking thing about new posts

What you were doing before wasn't efficient tho, it was completely retarded. Scrolling through a long lists of reacts to find a thread you want takes a lot more time than just clicking on the thread from the forum list or your profile.

I feel like Null laid out his reasoning for doing this pretty well, but I understand someone who can't be assed to click twice instead of one also can't read more than one sentence at a time.

The biggest crybabies about it were the likes of HHH, I rarely saw anybody from the right get butthurt about it. It was always people that had stupid left-wing takes getting mad about the reacts. Everybody involved with that shit was making up stuff cause they wanted A&N removed from the site.

Armpit cream was also pretty gay
Arm Pit Cream bitched about negrates too?

Proof of Horseshoe Theory if there ever was one.

It's funny how identical @Lidl Drip's arguments are to when the GNOME 3 devs removed the minimize and maximize buttons on all windows in their desktop environment.

Why were you even using a maximize button? Don't you know that dragging windows around is more fun?

Having a meltdown over having to click the "watch thread" button is retarded and you are retarded. It's literally one click.
Thanks for the tip, but I already used the watch thread page. My watched threads list includes threads I only want to read on a weekly or monthly basis. I used reaction notifications as a way to jump to activity in threads I have posted in within the last 24-48 hours. There are also threads which I am briefly interested in but don't want to deal with putting on the watched threads list.

How do I get notified about new activity in threads I have recently posted in? Because that's the feature I want which I was using the notifications as a way to approximate.
