Poll: Is it time to retire this forum? - Does Phil REALLY warrent a full forum any more?

Should the Phil forum be retired and replaced with a thread in the general Lolcow section?

I honestly don't care either way. I come on this one so infrequently in favor of Chris, yaniv, Tommy tooter and occasionally Briana Wu I dont think I'd notice if it were gone.

For those who think Phil would see this as a victory, I direct you to his actions back when this site got shut down temporarily because of the unrelated legion of doom shit. For I think three weeks with this site down, Phil initially did in fact claim sole victory of having taken down the farms...and then he realized that even when he wins, he loses even more and he desperately tried to find a replacement to no avail.

It's like the grayhound story from HBO's Westworld, as told by Dr. Ford (Anthony Hopkins) - essentially it's about an old grayhound that was trained the old fashioned way to race: chase that rabbit. The day finally comes where the dog sees a small kitten, thinks its the rabbit, chases it down and absolutely eviscerates it. Then...the dog is confused. It spent its entire life fixated on that one thing that now that it's achieved it, it doesn't know what to do after that.

Phil is the grayhound, and 'victory' over the farms is his rabbit. To him, the farms have become his very reason for existence. Closing his subforum and at most shunting him off into a rarely updated thread would at worst simply repeat him thinking he won after the site itself went down. Close the forum permamently, and it shows that while he derives meaning of existence from the existence of the farms, the farms do not exist simply for him.

Phil fails at everything, so it's no surprise that he fails at failing. When you're that much of a failure that you fail at failing, you deserve to be sent somewhere special.

This. Both of their content has become dribble of what it used to be. Both of them are doing their own monotonous routine, which in Phil's case is just some mastodon posts and selfies. When cow doesn't give anymore milk, it's time to remove it from the pasture.

Just make it user access only like it used to be.

If he continues to under perform after three months then axe it over to spergatory and condense it down into a single thread.

I don't care what Phil thinks of us should we sent it to Spergatory or close it/whatever because he won't even be able to do anything to the site to begin with apart from just useless pointless LARPing.

However, if it's really about lack of content or how content has gone stale, there's times where CWC had less content but we still left his subforum up. and in the end we got a bit more and look where it is now (quality aside, of course). If that's the case, I say leave it be for another month.

If he really relies on this forum to get content, then really not a good idea to leave this one up. I won't be surprised if he has an account here either.

Honestly, I threw that in there so that everyone who didn't give a fuck one way or the other would have something nice and edgy to vote for, it's all good. I am glad I asked though, at the end of the poll ima send the results upstairs and see what happens.
