Considering I have a melodic metal project similar to Gyze and early Children of Bodom and have played songs I wrote for some kiwibros and they loved it

I may advertise in the future because I don't agree with modern metalheads being the way they are if I ever get the balls to do so, but most likely won't anyways

I like the idea and would find it pretty funny to maybe even implement the old 'terrible advertisers' thing from SomethingAwfuls heyday but thats just nostalgia... it would be nothing but ads for tranny porn

I think this is fine but as stated: only in relevant threads.

If someone opens a Patrick Tomlinson themed restaurant for example, then yes I want to know about it because I'd want to eat there, child.

I've seen people sell some ok stuff like patches or shirts. For that reason I say yes.

But also, don't be a faggot about it, and don't get mad if the jannies sweep it up.

I think promotion should stay against the rules on its face, with the exception that you can show us whatever cool stuff you do if you're an active user.

That way Kiwis can share things with each other, but any annoying person whose just here to promote themselves, is still breaking the rules.

I want to say no, but realistically josh, yes. This is the path in my opinion to normalcy. Not that KF isn't normal. But like the first reply said, if its not spam, and it's something cool, relevant, and interesting...... then why not???

I'm OK with it as long as the advertiser understands the potential complications.

You do something worthy of attention and get the Eye of Kiwi Sauron digging through your life? That's on you.

You get canceled by overzealous whatever identitarians? On you.

It'd probably be respectful if they get any traffic from it to throw a few rupees to Null for running this shit show.

I'm going to say no for two reasons:
1 Separate your KF account from your real life, that feels like an important part of the site culture.
2 Allowing it feels like inviting clout-chasing retards to shill. If someone REALLY wants to attach thsir brand to their KF account like Turkey Tom then fine, it's unobtrusive enough, but we don't need retards like Kinochet around to shill

If it were my website, I wouldn't want the extra work of moderating something being allowed sometimes in some ways in some places just to square the inherent conflict between the beliefs in TAD and entrepreneurship being based. I'd prefer the ease of a blanket ban, if it were my responsibility. I agree that there has to be a barrier to entry by charging for it.

One one hand, you seldom want to dox yourself on the farms.

On the other hand, it is free speech and all, and I would put it in its own subforum or at least give it its own thread tag and prohibit it from off topic spam. People don't want the CWC thread being shilling grounds for Basedmail.com no matter how good and based it is.

Maybe make an ad thread in every applixable category? So Basedmail.com would go in the IT subforum, Basedmovies.com in entertai ment ads thread, Basedsoyack Callofsharty4 in game subforum ads thread and so on.

I also agree that there should be some form of currency revenue for the farms for any monetised ad. If it is free forum about kiwi fruit gardening and bell peppers, sure post it for free. If it is a paid product like a lolcow new apps with a subscription, give Null shekels.

I feel the need to say nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger

No. I think this isn’t a step in the right direction.
I’d rather have an ad bar at the top where people have to pay to promote their shit. Don’t let them have the free advertising.
