THANK YOU OP, I've been following these dummies for a long time, they were overdue for a thread. Sorting by "controversial" is always a good time on r/polyamory.

I remember massive drama about a year? ago when people posted photos of their "polycules" and surprise, most of them were fat and got made fun of. So pictures were banned for a while until "hot" polyams started to post again.

They tend to wank about the same subjects over and over again: 1) My boyfriend cheated on me. 2) My boyfriend's wife is a jealous bitch. 3) Why are all polycules 1 man/2 women? SEXISM then 300 comments of feminist debate. 4) Unicorns bitching about being hunted/unicorn hunters bitching about no unicorns. 5) (my fave) I am cripplingly depressed, I am not at all jealous that my husband is fucking younger women. 6) Debating primary/secondary vs. anarchy polyamory styles, but all participants on both sides are legally married.

This post here is a great example of what's wrong with these freaks.

Every single person asking for advice on how to handle their potential polyamorous romance is just looking for justification. They don't really think that r/polyamory is going to tell them, "No, no! Don't cheat on your husband who obviously doesn't want you fucking and going on lovey dovey dates with his shithead friend," right? They just want an excuse to satiate their gross perversions while still being able to feel morally just. Poor husband indeed... Actually, stupid husband for keeping her around long enough to be cheated on.

This is super true. To be fair, all of the other people who responded to her thread said she was a dumbass for wanting to fuck her husband's Chad Thundercock rival. It seems the OP deleted her post after getting negative feedback, along with her reply. Thankfully I capped them though before deletion though.

I've seen poly relationships work out fine, but christ a lot of these guys on this subreddit just don't seem cut out for it, but are trying to force it to work out. If you get jealous easily, shit's not for you. It takes a lot of effort from all parties involved. Acting like it's just going to be some easy and fun sex romp is going to have it end with a lot of STD's and broken relationships.

Also trying to claim that you're queer just because you're poly is truly playing the oppression olympics there. Yikes.

a co-worker of mine fits the OP to a T. He was a straight fat white guy, his wife was a bi slut, both were into board games and gaming/anime conventions, and both of them would not shut up with the constant drama. Everything was a big fucking deal to these two cunts, and they couldnt go a week without some major issue ruling every waking thought they had (and of course, clogging up social media with said thoughts).

Surprise surprise, said wife left him for another fat loser a year later. He has since doubled down on that life, whoring himself to anything with a vagina willing to fuck him, with the rotating door of drama producing gallon upon gallon of milk. The other members of his clique, whom I met in one way or another, were all equally pathetic dramawhores.

And once the kids get involved with the drama, you realize exactly how pathetic human beings can be. Nothing says 'lifeless retarded cuck' like having a kid with a poly partner, waiting for half a year after the kid is born to get a DNA test done, then upon finding out the thing aint yours, deciding to raise it anyway, because the mother is a worthless human being whom cannot support herself.

That is so fucking cucked I can't even feel sorry for the husband. He lets his wife (!) fuck a man he's jealous of, a person he dislikes. And she clearly doesn't care about his opinions beyond approval of her escapades: "What if he says no and I don't agree (because they're not valid reasons)" BITCH YOU DON'T NEED A VALID REASON TO TELL YOUR WIFE NOT TO FUCK ANOTHER DUDE.

So basically they're taking the idea of polygamy, but instead of going full Mormon and getting married to multiple people, they're trying to make it seem "progressive" and "trendy" to be in a relationship with as many people as possible. Tumblr has even gifted us with a special pride flag for these people because of fucking course they have one.

I think they're generally only fluid bonded with one person at a time, but yes, there are a lot of 'My partner/meta/girlfriend/wife/I got pregnant' posts. No AIDS though, because there are no gay men on r/polyamory.

I've been following them for a long time too, and there's so many bad posts I can remember reading but I can't find again. And the search function and Google aren't helpful, since there's only like 20 different keywords that make up every post.

I'll admit I'm not a big fan of the straight man/bi woman, then bi woman gets a girlfriend dynamic, and then they share her. It just always feels sleazy. And again, there's way more of that than straight woman/bi man, then bi man gets a boyfriend. Women are more likely to be bisexual, according to the CDC, but not so much more so that the distribution on r/polyamory is logical.

The ones I have witnessed were anywhere from a few days to almost half a year. The longer they go, the more milk is spewed. that 6 month one caused a divorce, among other things.
