That story about the daughter absolutely kills me. I feel so bad. Even if we look past their horrid degeneracy and how hard they've mentally (and physically apparently) destroyed her, I just can't get past the fact that they go to do their sanctioned cheating whenever she's not around ... And put their phones on airplane mode? Good god, how did she even make it to 16? I really hope she managed to get away from them and that the aunt is more sensible.

why are 90% of polys so extremely unhinged. they can't deal with their own problems being constantly suicidal, this multiplies by 2 with a just as crazy partner and just grows exponentially, what makes them think they'll be able to deal with so much concentrated misery?

some younger friends recently told me it's popular among teenagers now, it was called something like russian roulette, but I don't remember the exact name. they'll have an orgy and invite one person with an STD, and yeah who catched the STD loses.
I nearly threw up my drink when they described it, they were way more graphic than I am right now tho. I've never been so thankful I'm not a teen anymore and don't have to deal with them.

edit: oh and they said it's usually one dude who has the STD and several girls, or a few dudes switching between the girls though still only one has the STD originally??? sorry I was drunk and have surpressed it kinda, but it was definitely a hetero teen thing

I used to be kind of optimistic about polyamory (I have less than zero interest in getting involved in that) but after this I'm convinced that there's like a less than 1% chance of it working out. And that's only if everyone is gay.

I really want to believe it's just an urban legend just for my own sanity but also I wouldn't be surprised if bug chasing was the new trend among teens. I used to know some fucked up people back in school who did a lot of drugs, fucked a lot of our peers, fucked teachers, other unrelated much older adults and so on. I could totally see those people doing this russian roulette orgy I described, that's why I didn't even doubt my friends. Though it does sound A LOT like that rainbow party thing, so it may be just some new horror story

but yeah teens are stupid they'll imitate everything adults do even though they're not mature enough to participate and can't comprehend it yet, gendershit, sjwism or the equivalents on the other extreme. they'll do anything to be cool and counter culture so I wouldn't be surprised if poly (and sharing STDs) became the next big trendy thing among youth

Man, if your spouse goes to med school (with apparently zero family and job distractions) and then fails multiple classes the second year, that itself is a giant fucking red flag shit is fucked. I would have been insistent on answers and therapy right then. Kids and teens fail because they don't want to be there and it's "free" to them. Grown adults don't take out huge student loans and then oops get too busy to study. That's mental instability going wild.

this is my takeaway too. Technically poly relationships could maybe work on paper but those who seek out abnormal non-monogamous relationships are inherently mentally unhealthy and unstable.

well no, that's not how infection works. if you fuck someone with a STD there's a risk of getting infected but it's not guaranteed. same as you don't get sick everytime someone sneezes at you. that's the entire point of bug chasing, they seek the risk and thrill of maybe getting infected, but probably don't actually want to live with a STD like AIDS.

heteros usually have lower rates of STD transmission, at least when it comes to HIV and HPV, because the virus has to enter your blood stream through micro tearing, which can happen when you do it rough, aren't lubed up enough and so on. well assholes don't lubricate on their own and aren't as stretchy as vaginas, so they tear much easier. HIV infection rates for women also rise drastically where FGM is practised, due to the effects it has on sex, it's also higher for men who aren't circumcised because foreskin is also prone to micro tearing.

but yeah back on topic. do you guys think that it's usually the most jealous kinds of people who cheat or want to open a relationship? I kinda got the impression and I think it's due to projection, they assume their partner is just as horny and disloyal as they are so they see a threat in every person their S/O interacts with, just because they'd like to shag basically everyone they interact with
