If the standing guys didn't look so absolutely soylent, I'd assume the guy on the ground was their gimp.

What gave you that idea? The fuckboy squatting with spread legs position? Or the slutty hand on the lips? Or maybe it's the way he's eye fucking whoever is unlucky enough to have to take this photo?

Guy on the ground is definitely the whore. Wouldnt be surprised if he owns a real gimp suit. The other two look neutered, I hardly clocked them as men.

Fresh horrors from Canuckistan made it to the newsfeed of the biggest media-conglomerate's website:

The Polyamorous Childbearing and Birth Experiences Study (POLYBABES): a qualitative study of the health care experiences of polyamorous families during pregnancy and birth

I'll let any of the more academically minded Kiwis chew into it but my cursory examination says it's filled with tremendously exceptional research methods, sample sizes, and conclusions. For christ's sake here's the abstract:

BACKGROUND: As many as 1 in 5 adults practise some type of consensual nonmonogamy such as polyamory; many are married, have children, or both. Polyamorous families face unique challenges when accessing care during pregnancy and birth, and qualitative descriptive studies are needed to understand their experiences and inform health care providers’ practice.

METHODS: Participants, who self-identified as polyamorous, had given birth in the last 5 years and received at least some prenatal care, were recruited through convenience sampling on social media. Any of the birthing individual’s partners were also invited to participate. All participants completed a short demographic questionnaire and participated in a semistructured interview. Interview transcripts were coded using Braun and Clarke’s iterative thematic analysis.

RESULTS: A total of 24 participants, 11 who had given birth and 13 partners, were interviewed. Of those who had given birth, 5 received midwifery care only, 4 received obstetric care exclusively and 2 received shared care. Polyamorous families described sharing many common experiences during pregnancy and birth that were affected by their polyamorous identity. Although participants reported both positive and negative experiences with health care providers, when accessing health care all had experienced some form of marginalization that was related to their polyamorous status. One particular challenge for families was with respect to disclosure of polyamorous identity in hospital environments. Participants offered suggestions for improving the health care of polyamorous families during pregnancy and birth, including creating nonjudgmental spaces, accommodating difference through minimizing administrative barriers and allying with patients by providing patient-led care.

INTERPRETATION: Polyamorous families face marginalization when accessing pregnancy and birth care. Care experiences for polyamorous families can be improved by nonjudgmental, open attitudes of health care providers, and modifications to hospital policies to support multiparent families.

Polyamory, a type of consensual nonmonogamy, is “characterized by simultaneous consensual romantic relationships with multiple partners.”1 Prevalence estimates of polyamory are sparse and often subject to methodological limitations.2 The most recent estimate suggests that 1 in 5 single Americans have engaged in some form of consensual nonmonogamy in their lifetime.2 This estimate encompasses all forms of consensual nonmonogamy and does not account for married populations or alternatively arranged families who are engaging in the practice. A Canadian-based survey (n = 547) reported that most polyamorous relationships contain at least 1 married couple.3 This survey found that 75% of respondents were of child-bearing age and 23.2% of them had at least 1 child younger than 19 years living at home under the care of at least 1 parent or guardian.3 It has been consistently reported that people who identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual are more likely to engage in consensual nonmonogamy.2 Debate exists as to whether polyamory should be interpreted as part of one’s sexual orientation rather than as a relationship orientation or practice.5 Many who practise polyamory describe being polyamorous as part of their identity.5

Few studies have investigated the experiences of those practising polyamory, and much of the available literature is from the fields of psychology and sexuality.4 Furthermore, few studies have investigated the experiences of polyamorous people in health care settings and no studies have investigated their experiences during pregnancy and birth.

Reports that do exist suggest that 1 in 4 polyamorous individuals have experienced some type of discrimination based on their polyamorous status.6 As a result, legal arguments have been presented that conceptualize polyamory as a sexual orientation within antidiscrimination legislation.7 Regardless of whether one agrees with this conceptualization, given the high proportion of polyamorous individuals who are of child-bearing age and the substantial potential for stigma, it is important to investigate polyamorous individuals’ experiences with reproductive care providers to better inform practice.

The objective of the Polyamorous Childbearing and Birth Experiences (POLYBABES) study was to gain an understanding of the experiences of polyamorous families during pregnancy and birth. This paper focuses on the health care experiences of polyamorous families when accessing reproductive health services.

There's a ton of shit right from the get-go that should be raising eyebrows. Truly astonishing that the CMJ would publish this but apparently peer-reviewing doesn't mean shit when it comes to half-assed research from degenerates.

How did the mean old dean from Ghostbusters get it so right so long ago?

Maybe they're counting couples who keep a celebrity cheat list, but even then most of those couples never get the chance, and were kidding around anyway.

Wasn't there a post a while ago where someone's "celebrity cheat" was a D-list YouTube music celebrity and got upset that their boyfriend was upset when she actually slept with him after a public concert?

when all the peers doing the reviewing are weirdo degenerates themselves, you get what you would expect

that sounds hilarious, you got a link to the story?

This white trash poly relationship went as well as one would expect. :story:

OKLAHOMA CITY - A fight between two women in the middle of the highway allegedly started with a disagreement over laundry, toilet paper and dishes, and ended with both women in lockup.

A man by the name Tim Yost was caught up in the middle of it and he sat down with News 4 to share what happened.

“She jumped on her like a spider monkey,” Tim Yost said. “And then she just beat the snot out of her.”

Tim Yost tells News 4 he’s legally married to Richelle Yost, but the two had an open relationship with another woman, Amanda Breeze.

Yost says things were going well for a few months until Breeze wanted to get something off her chest.

“She said she didn`t want to be the other woman,” Yost said.

So, Yost says he left Richelle and their three kids to go live with Breeze.

But the honeymoon ended when it came time to buying the groceries and doing chores.

A police report says, “Yost and Breeze got in an argument over toilet paper, laundry and dishes.”

Yost said he had enough and that he wanted to “move out.”

So he packed his bags, hopped on his Harley and called Richelle to come drive the van, but the two didn’t get very far before Breeze was on their tail.

“She is pissed,” Yost said.

Breeze allegedly hit the back of Tim’s bike on purpose and sent him flying across the pavement.

Horrified drivers called 911.

“I didn't run him over,” Breeze said.

“Yes you did b****,” a 911 caller said. “I watched you!”

Then, Richelle allegedly turned the tables on Breeze.

Richelle hit Breeze’s car before the two got out and went hand-to-hand on the highway.

“She gets her hair pinned down and then just does blows to Amanda’s face and rocks her world,” Yost said.

Both women were off to jail facing charges.

Tim was rushed to the hospital and is still on the road to recovery.

"It's like some Jerry Springer s***,” Yost said.

Both Breeze and Yost bonded out of jail. However, Yost is back in jail as the investigation continues.

Lol it's totally meaningless.
"As many as 1 in 5 adults practise some type of consensual nonmonogamy such as polyamory; many are married, have children, or both."

Adults. Not "families" or "couples" or anything. So this includes single people who sleep around with no expectations, estranged spouses, and divorced parents.

11 self-selected women and 13 partners make for an *~excellent~* sample to study an extremely non-uniform demographic!

It gets better. The entire thing from top to bottom is so exceptional it makes you wonder what other garbage is being published in these journals that (used to) have a reputation for you know, actual science.

Here's some more:

Methods
Study design and population
We conducted a qualitative descriptive study using semistructured interviews to identify common themes stemming from polyamorous families’ experiences with pregnancy and birth.8,9 We undertook this study from a constructivist perspective (i.e., there is no single truth; rather, truth is relative and constructed by the researchers, individuals and society). Motivation for the study stemmed from some team members’ personal involvement in the polyamorous community and a shared interest in promoting inclusive reproductive care; however, all team members participated equally in study design, implementation and analysis.

We included participants if they self-identified as polyamorous during their pregnancy, had given birth within the last 5 years and had received some prenatal care from a health care provider. We also invited partners of the birthing individual to participate in the study. We recruited a convenience sample through announcement of the study on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Snowballing occurred through online sharing and posting to targeted polyamorous Facebook groups from major cities across Canada.

Literally indicating from the get go that:
A) truth doesn't matter because we all interpret the truth differently
B) they're only doing this because they're sexual degenerates to begin with so it's just a giant jerkoff and asspat-fest
C) they actually just grabbed the approximately two dozen degenerates by asking them via social media (convenience sampling) if they felt discriminated against in the medical system - and wow, can you imagine the results??

Holy fuck. This is one of the more depressing accounts I’ve seen on r/polyamory.

TL,DR Hubs doesn’t respect OP’s boundaries and keeps breaking their rules (bangs his bossman’s sister and sexes up his latest partner before getting a full STD panel), acts violent towards OP and scares off her paramours.

And unfortunately, children are involved
