That Triad already looks like a quad
This baffles me but it's actually really common: she clearly has a type, since those guys look like cousins and probably hang in the same social circles. If you're going to build a harem why not get some variety in there?

If they're up front about it and seek out people into that same shit and agree to a relationship on those terms it isn't cheating. They may be and probably still are trashy people, though.

He wasn't talking about that, though. He was asking if a hypothetical dude wanted to cheat on his wife (no agreement, unethically, secretly) and went prowling on dating sites for his secret side piece, would he be smart to seek out "non-monogamous" people.

I would say fucking yes and it's a super common story on the poly reddit. It's also much easier and much less lying as you don't have to lie about your "other" life, being married, your whereabouts, etc. All you really have to lie about is two things "My wife agreed to my arrangement" and "my wife doesn't ever want to meet or talk to my girlfriend." It's much, much cleaner and your side piece will (hopefully) find other ways to fill her time when you aren't around.

Polyamorists are torn on the ethics of being the side chick this way - with some of them taking the side of "he's poly and his wife doesn't support him", "what she doesn't know won't hurt her", "his relationship is none of your business", and other nonsensical hot takes. Some of them treat it like a massive breach of trust (for the side chick, no the wife lol) or a huge breach of ethics, despite the lack of poly ethics.

Shit's hilarious.

I would say fucking no because you're getting into a relationship with a fucking crazy person. If she thinks your wife is okay with it she's going to stalk you on social media and not know to keep it a secret. And if she finds out she isn't, she now has a way of absolutely fucking you over when she goes into her crazy bunny boiler stage, which she will, because if she says she's poly, 99% of the time she's also a complete BPD nutcase who will go nuts on you.

Which is different from an average poly relationship how?

Did I say it was? If you have a life you don't want destroyed, don't get involved with this shit. Don't seek out poly crazy fucking cunts to cheat with your wife on. Don't seek out people to cheat with your wife on in general, but if you must, absolutely do not pick these freaks. Pick someone who is also married so you have a mutually assured destruction pact because you can fuck her right back if she decides to spill on you.

Yeah, but that's any side chick - not just the poly ones.

As I pointed out in a subsequent post, not all of them. The one who is also cheating on her husband gives you a MAD pact. She can't out you without you outing her too. She's also only like 60% or so likely to be completely crazy, while the advertised poly is over 9000% crazy.

This white trash poly relationship went as well as one would expect. :story:

OKLAHOMA CITY - A fight between two women in the middle of the highway allegedly started with a disagreement over laundry, toilet paper and dishes, and ended with both women in lockup.

A man by the name Tim Yost was caught up in the middle of it and he sat down with News 4 to share what happened.

“She jumped on her like a spider monkey,” Tim Yost said. “And then she just beat the snot out of her.”

Tim Yost tells News 4 he’s legally married to Richelle Yost, but the two had an open relationship with another woman, Amanda Breeze.

Yost says things were going well for a few months until Breeze wanted to get something off her chest.

“She said she didn`t want to be the other woman,” Yost said.

So, Yost says he left Richelle and their three kids to go live with Breeze.

But the honeymoon ended when it came time to buying the groceries and doing chores.

A police report says, “Yost and Breeze got in an argument over toilet paper, laundry and dishes.”

Yost said he had enough and that he wanted to “move out.”

So he packed his bags, hopped on his Harley and called Richelle to come drive the van, but the two didn’t get very far before Breeze was on their tail.

“She is pissed,” Yost said.

Breeze allegedly hit the back of Tim’s bike on purpose and sent him flying across the pavement.

Horrified drivers called 911.

“I didn't run him over,” Breeze said.

“Yes you did b****,” a 911 caller said. “I watched you!”

Then, Richelle allegedly turned the tables on Breeze.

Richelle hit Breeze’s car before the two got out and went hand-to-hand on the highway.

“She gets her hair pinned down and then just does blows to Amanda’s face and rocks her world,” Yost said.

Both women were off to jail facing charges.

Tim was rushed to the hospital and is still on the road to recovery.

"It's like some Jerry Springer s***,” Yost said.

Both Breeze and Yost bonded out of jail. However, Yost is back in jail as the investigation continues.

They look the same

I guess most real life polyrelations don't involve supermodels. Why am i not surprised?
I had a boss and wife who did this nonsense, they were physically really undesirable people, I think that a load of people who are into this shit cant get off with their partners and so want to do this to make the other seem more attractive and themselves be desired. That they are all going with the same level of desirability does not matter more than there being someone, anyone who is willing. The whole thing is pretty ugly though an ugly life style for ugly people.

Slight PL, but I went to a polyamory meetup event years ago. A friend dragged me there, and I went to satisfy my morbid curiosity to observe polyamorous people in the wild versus the Internet.

There were about 40 people at this event and I’d say roughly 20% of the people in attendance were fairly attractive. Most were successful urban professionals. The most attractive married couple were self-professed swingers (pretty LOL in itself because the poly people were quite condescending to them). The event organizer was quite attractive too, but she seemed more concerned with counting the cash donation box, rather than socializing or promoting polyamory.

The remaining 80% were mainly legbeard hamplanet women with skinny autistic hipster boyfriends in tow, and low-tier single men who reeked of desperation and Axe body spray. And a token old hippie couple to prove that there is a slight, slight chance in hell that a polyamorous relationship can survive to reach your golden years.

I can at least respect swingers. It ain't for me, but they are at least honest about it.

I totally agree! I appreciate that they were honest about their intentions and didn’t try to sugarcoat it with cult-like mumbo-jumbo.

How do we know the hippy couple didn't just get together recently?

chiming in to say I can agree with this

at least swingers just go out to get laid once in a while instead of moving the sidepiece in and telling the kids "yes, this is your new mommy and you are BIGOTED if you think this is a bad idea or don't want to watch daddy and new mommy fuck randomly all over the house"

I think swinging and threesomes have better potential to work out than polygamy. Relationship drama is pretty much unavoidable with poly but extra people just to make sex life more fun is more realistic. The couple can find the new people or what can be done with them as huge turn on or it can be a rare treat. It might even work more one sided, as sex can be just pleasure thing and doesn’t have take that much free time or other resources. If both people are genuinely cool with the arrangement, are able to talk about uncomfortable subjects effectively, do keep promises and nothing that bad happens it can work out. Unfortunately these are big ifs and people, feelings and situations change. Extra marital sex can start as fun for everyone but then someone gets more or better attention, STDs pop up, contraceptives fails, falling in love or other drama. Extra people are always potentially serious risk.

Most people can't handle it because of jealousy. Very few people are okay with their partner banging someone else. However, for those that are, it works, and there's way less drama than poly
