They probably live in a filthy one room apartment. As well as being mega degenerates.

Hahaha, you're not far off there. I mean, studio apartments have their place and are great if you live alone, want to save on rent, stuff like that. But I couldn't imagine cohabiting in one

You're totally right. ALL of these people live like vermin. If stories are cool, I'll share one that just came up around me: Via a mutual friend, I've heard stories about a woman from school who is in some nasty shit. In fact, because of the recency, and the location similarity, I thought for a bit that this Colorado post was referencing the same woman, as written by the couple she joined. After some digging, it isn't her, but anyways. This woman, Anne, was married, but not happily. She always complained that her and her husband didn't fuck. After some major family event (maybe some parent died died?) she started fucking her cousin, who lived in Colorado and was married with a few kids. He would fly her out there and put her up in a hotel, just to fuck her. At one point, she even got accidentally pregnant by the cousin, but thankfully miscarried. This was just the cheating phase, neither spouse knew, and when the cousin's wife found out (as discovered by their now permanently traumatized children), she told Anne's family, and the whole family more or less exploded.

But this wasn't enough for Anne. She asked her husband for some time apart, and moved in with some couple she knew a few towns away. That family had four or five kids, the husband is a leg amputee, and the wife, Jan, has some health thing and doesn't work, and she ran a daycare center out of their two-bedroom rental. So, do that disgusting math. After living there for a few months, Anne finally asked her husband for a divorce, and I assume that she's fucking Jan and the amputee. This all started with sex. Once the divorce was final a few weeks ago, Anne comes out and says that she's actually gay, and has only been doing Jan. The two of them took some trip to Colorado where Anne came out and Jan was this supportive figure or whatever, and then Jan told Anne that she made a deal with her amputee husband that if they ever didn't work out, that Jan would go gay and go for a chick that looks like Anne, who can most charitably be described as dumpy. And they all just live together now.

Allegedly the kids call Anne "Mom 2". Allegedly the amputee is fine with all of this and doesn't get involved. And none of them really work as far as I know. All of these people are the fucking same. The fucking disgusting, despicable same. I give it 6 months before something cataclysmic happens.

In this episode of r/polyamory - OP's boyfriend convinces her that they have a poly relationship and he's not a cheating asshole. He's now trying to convince OP to let him fuck his lover in their bed, which is the only thing she was not okay with.

Being "open minded and reasonable", to these poly perverts, means doing what they want and having no boundaries.

When confronted by such people, be narrow-minded and unreasonable. Kick their asses to the curb.

I wonder how many poly relationships began because someone got caught cheating and though it was the perfect excuse. That said, outright making your girlfriend leave her house so that you can bang your side chick is one hell of a gorilla dicked alpha chad move.

The mental gymnastics "poly" people go through, or specifically poly men a.k.a cucks, go through to justify polyamory or make it seem "the greatest ever" is truly something.

"I let my girl go fuck other guys because I know she'll come back to me because my dick is the greatest and that is the ultimate sign of loyalty" is a popular one.

You know most people see your partner only wanting to fuck and be with you, and vice versa as the ultimate sign of loyalty, and believe it or not there are still a large population of people who want to remain virgin until marriage for for a similar but even more ultimate sign of loyalty.

But ok guys.

Oh, and I have to ask. How do you know she's truly "coming back to you" as opposed to you being one of the side dicks?

I can't be the only one who thinks it would be simpler if you and your SO were just mono and maybe spiced things up with role playing or anal once in a while or something.

So basically this but the guy isn't attractive, because they never are...

Nahhhhh communicating in a relationship is for fags.

Communication is the problem here but not the way you'd think: it's one person, usually the schlubby woman communicating to her cuck that she wants to bang dudes on the side and instead of the first words communicated back to her being "pack your shit and gtfo" he communicates to her "oh okay I guess".

Anecdotal is fine. As this thread proves, polyamorous relationships on the whole are fucked.

invitation accepted.

my poly acquaintance divorced her husband because while she was out sleeping around with her partners, he was (unbeknownst to her) molesting their daughter. Good on her for divorcing, I guess but - fuck what can you really say? Kinda wonder which came first: him being a fucking pedophile, or her getting partners easily while he seethed at home, lonely, and then touched their kid.
ETA: she found out bc he got baited and sent kiddie porn to a ring that got busted and he is currently in prison for 20 to life depending on parole.

The next date will be an apology card. "Sorry about the herpes."

These terms tend to lose me every once in a while, but as I gather - a Meta is your partner's partner. So this is the boyfriend's side piece sending a card to her counterpart.

Which I can see how they can play it as "aww so cute!" but also seems a bit like a power play for the Meta to remind the other partner "yeah he might be with you but I'm still present so don't forget about that" - I just don't buy that it's purely friendly

It's really more along the lines of "I let my girl go fuck other guys because my soy-grown dick is too small to satisfy her and she'll always come back because she loves me and I can fulfill her emotionally r-right honey?"

A polyamory story from r/JustNoSO. People are hesitant to post their poly failure stories on r/polyamory because they know they'll be attacked by the hivemind who doesn't think polyamory can go wrong, so it's interesting to see it on another sub.

The girlfriend was kicked out of her previous living arrangement, which is never a good sign.

Husband was useless before he started dating the other woman, also, in terms of not doing any chores whatsoever, and at one point the OP was working three jobs and still doing all the childcare.

And this made me sad:
They do have sex. If I try to say no to sex I get a big guilt trip and it's this big thing so it's just less draining to go along with it.

This is why you end the relationship the second your partner floats poly/open status as "just an idea".
