Ok since stories of our experience of people who are poly are a thing here I'll tell the story if my one friend who decided they were poly.


I met this guy about 14 years ago. At the time he was dating the woman he would later marry. They seemed a good couple and I got on with both pretty well. I moved away for work and didn't keep a huge amount of contact with them but when I visited family etc I would usually meet them down the pub. They got married and had a couple of kids, bought a house pretty normal stuff really.

About 4 years ago I moved back for another job and reconnected with them, things weren't going too well and they were heading for divorce. About 6 months after the divorce he invited loads of us to his house to make "a big announcement" it was essentially him "coming out" as poly, describing how much love he had to give and how he can't force others into monogamy (and all the other cliché poly lines). It was basically telling us we are going to see him with lots of different non-exclusive girlfriends (like yeah, you're a single guy). After that if you hung out with him alone he was still cool but if one of his hoes was with him it would be preechy lecturing about the evils of monogamous relationships.

He "dated" about 6 different (subpar) women for a while until he met number 7, see number 7 is at least an 8/10 and is generally someone who's fun to be around. Well they went on one date and at the end of the date told him it was his choice if date number 2 would happen, the choice was the 6 gutter skanks or her exclusivity. He dropped all the hoes that evening and threw another party to announce he is actually monogamous and with the new girl (he likes to throw parties to announce things). Incidentally one of his gutter trash girls had apparently been trying to get him to be monogamously with her and tried to off herself a few times over this announcement and still is not over it to the point he is all she talks about on social media (well him and depression/suicide).

For a while all was well with the world and you could hang out with him without any poly nonsense. But wait there's more, he decided another party was in order for another announcement, this time it was they've decided that they can't be part of the evils of the meat industry so are now vegan.

So he's replaced "hi, I'm poly" with "hi, I'm a vegan". One "morally superior" trendy lefty attention seeking cause for another I suppose.
 
Since we're sharing stories.. one of my buds got married and their wife currently also has another girlfriend.
Since high school they've dated this chick who became very openly poly saying "I just overflow with love, I must have more partners so my love can be balanced." Whatever that means. I remember them crying to me because they were scared their then gf wouldn't love them anymore. But flashforward, both of them get married and the wife has had been with... 4 different partners since then (including the one they're dating now). My bud frequently vents about being tired and depressed from work and poor mental health.

But if you say anything negative about their wife nowadays, they'll cut all contact with you entirely. I've seen them cut close friends for saying that their wife would hold them back from happiness and success. It's really sad and frustrating.

and this is where the real damage is done, and why outlawing all this shit would probably be a good idea.
like yeah it's easy to brush it off with some "lol trash girl, its her own fault, she knew what she was getting into, shes an adult, probably had pre-existing issues already" type argument, but at the end of the day this person had her mental health wrecked and her emotional well-being destroyed - and for what? for nothing at all, an entire life ruined for blind hedonism and decadence.

like, it's hard to find one without suicides shortly after. I think the camera helps them self-reflect on the situation with licidity.

I wonder if he was using the wrong sized condoms

I had the same problem for a while, where I'd go soft not long after putting it on. It would also take me a lot of effort to put the condom on. I tried a larger sized condom and it didn't take as much effort and now it's no problem

yeah its easy to dismiss them like that, poly sluts usually aren't particularly likeable people

still, i wonder: what if she hadn't been subjected to this 'use her as my live-in fleshlight then dump her once a better girl comes along' ordeal? maybe she'd turned out different, maybe developed in another direction instead of breaking down into a mental wreck.
of course, the poly shit probably wasn't the only negative thing that happened in her life. but i'm like 99% certain that the humiliating experience of being used as a random fucktoy by some dude (who she probably had serious feelings for) only to end up getting discarded and replaced had a significant impact as well.

I appreciate your support towards solving my date's erectile dysfunction issues as he did indeed have a monster dong. I am surprised and disappointed that a board dedicated to publically making fun of peoples' eccentricities was not more helpful and respectful of this rather private and intimate problem.
