Europe's air traffic control network has warned commercial aircraft to avoid Syrian airspace due to a possible strike being planned in the next 72 hours.

DEFCON has been lowered to 4 over reports of military amassing air forces and the potential risks of a Russia vs. U.S. conflict.

Supposedly the British RAF is on alert in Cyprus.

There's also unconfirmed reports of the U.S. moving missile cruisers around in the Mediterranean and aircraft in Eastern Iraq.

EDIT: Sorry for big boy pics
Russian pawn?

Well lads, it was good while it lasted.

The fact that someone else knows that song here is enough to give me faith in humanity. Too bad it's about to end.

How about we send all our cows over to Syria instead of missiles? Either they'll all annoy Syria so much they'll surrender just to be rid of them or they'll get their dumb asses killed. We win either way.

So I just checked maps and apparently I'll be either gone with the wind or microwaved by inferno. Should probably check if my favourite lolcows survive next, so I would have whom to laugh at as my hair and teeth fall off. Do you think CWCville would qualify for a high priority target? No military installations but you know how through the russkies can be.

Sigh.

Tell us again about how fluorine is allowing communists to steal our precious bodily fluids, and that 9/11 was an inside job, and that all mass shootings are done by patsies to allow THEM to grab your guns...

Re 9/11 -

1) Those 3 towers came down via controlled demolition

2) Newton's law of universal gravitation was temporarily suspended

Pick one.

inb4 tinfoil - science, son.

Well, that’s my summer leave done for, especially if Theresa May takes this as an opportunity to go full Iron Lady to gain ground back from Obergruppenfuhrer Corbyn and his goosestepping chums.

Wonder if I can get a strong enough signal to shitpost from Syria?

Now idk in which fallout game we'll end up, but i hope its not a bethesda one
You survive the apocalypse, come to terms that your friends and loved ones are literally nuclear dust, you try not to die from cancer, you miraculously survive being harassed by some biker faggots with Mohawks and shitty leather jackets...only to be constantly pestered by a black cowboy.

"Another settlement has sent word that they need our help. I'll mark it on your map."

All I've seen so far is indication it would be an airstrike and missile strike. It doesn't help though that, despite the whole "but I though Trump wouldn't get us into WW3!?" that we have to remember that Russia has been doing things like invading Turkey's airspace and getting their jet shot down, sending spy ships up and down the U.S. Atlantic coast, buzzing planes close to U.S. air patrols and ships, for years now trying to provoke us and invading British territorial waters, forcing Britain to escort their ships.

Even if we weren't arguing over a gas attack that may or may not have been some rebels trying to frame another rebel's attack as a means to blame Syria so the U.S. will intervene and turn the tide in their favor, we'd probably end up in a war with Russia in the next few years simply because Putin keeps poking and prodding other countries on a near constant basis, increasing the chance of something going terribly wrong.

Just checked, if my town somehow got hit by a nuke (the air force base near here in the neighboring town certainly would) I'd be fucked. F

You say it like the West and NATO aren't provoking Russia back.

NATO has been building up forces in the Baltic since 2016. Since the end of the Cold War NATO has continued to expand closer and closer to Russia.
Yes, Russia is more flagrant, but it does not mean NATO and the US are saints either.

In a way, if Putin wasn't half as strong as he tries to be, Russia would be in a much worse place, and that's why the Russians like him. The West wants to bully Russia into a non-entity, and the Russians want to be relevant.

Remember kids: If overlord Trump starts a warning, make sure to duck under your desk and cover your head and ears with your hands.

Duck and Cover wasn't kidding. If you aren't immediately vaporized or killed by the nuclear blast, having a desk, wall, or your hands to shield you will protect you from the most severe radiation burns/poisoning.

Basically you want to find a basement-dwelling NEET and camp out in their basement for the next few weeks.

Pretty much this. Putin's :autism: makes him incapable of realizing that the more he tries to prod us, the more inclined we are to go after him.

Yet at the same time, it seems likely he's aware of this and the real question is why does he keep doing it knowing that we'll fight back? Does he just want to see the world (Russia included) a desolate wasteland? It's obvious he doesn't want jack or shit to do with anything democratic with the rest of the planet, and his allies are just as disposable as his enemies. He'd be more than willing to dispose of Syria if given the chance.

At the same time though, the west isn't innocent either. It goes both ways- if all the politicians weren't corrupt idiots (especially May and Macron, seeing as they're the first to instigate it this time), we wouldn't even be talking about WWIII at the moment.
