I thought this was about keeping shitposting down and not about likes.
There are points and little badges involved. People are going to go all Barb on them regardless.

The existing like system already did that. You had likes, and the people who garnered the most likes were the ones who made simple one liners with no regards to the actual conversation of the thread, usually on the firsts page of an update post. CatParty holds the record by saying something like "Chris is retarded." as the first reply on some recent update. It makes writing posts a game of "how can I make this appeal to as many people as possible?"
You can agree with something you don't like. You can disagree with something but not dislike it.I don't like Facepunch but I can live with the new ratings. They're fine I suppose.
Also, doesn't having both an "Agree" option and a "Like" option seem kind of redundant?
I'd like to customize them, but I think if I change them to anything less generic and easily recognizable they'll get misused more frequently.Null, you want I should try and CWCify some icons for these new ratings?
I'll remove the hiding post feature because in retrospect I don't see any valid use for it. I'll continue to see if I can tweak the rating system.
Okay, I have a hypothetical question.
What if someone, lets call him Serial Rater, just went to threads and rated people dumb for no reason? Would BAN HAPPEN?
It doesn't. It's neutral. It does not affect your ratio.Question: why does the autistic rating count as negative rep?
