Apologies if this has already been proposed and rejected but what about a "Thanks" rating? A lot of posts, particularly in the multimedia/gaming forums (so maybe restrict its use to those only) are requests for information or advice and when people reply the person requesting the information then tends to either clog the thread up with generic "Thanks dude" posts or is forced to try and make those posts meaningful somehow which can derail the thread. Simply being able to scroll past four or five different posts providing you with info and clicking 'thanks' on each one would seem to be a decent way of streamlining that.

You can just use the informative rating for that.

What do the Islamic and Deviant ratings mean

Islamic Content doesn't really have a meaning anymore, it's more of a joke rating. It was created when this site got hacked or something like that. Nowadays it's primarily used for disgusting or despicable NSFW posts.

The Deviant rating is usually used for posts where another user acts all perverted or expresses their fetishes or sexual preferences. In a sense, it's kind of a negative powerlevel rating.

But is used in practice as the poor man’s horrifying rating because you have to donate to the forum to get access to some of the ratings. Deviant is like sexually deviant like those damn furries or for people who are just generally socially deviant like 90% of both lolcows and forum posters *love you all uwu*

I mostly just use it for hateful and disgusting images that horrifying or deviant can't quite describe. Either way it's pretty niche by rating standards.

Yeah, I never took :islamic:as something to be taken super seriously. Especially with how overused it's been. I'd wager a little over half of my negative ratings have been that one alone.
