"Post your Art" Thread

If you have pics of the robots, I'd like to see them.

I actually, sadly, do not have any pictures of robots I have made. Surprisingly despite working with robotics based stuff, I have made very few robots. The last big(ish) project I finished up was a box that can make any light into a clap on light. That then proceeded to turn itself back off again after 3 seconds. So people had to keep clapping really loudly to keep the lights on.

A little etiquette about your craft goes a long way to not alienating your admirers.

Too many of my "admirers" are entitled little twats who won't take no for answer. Fuck etiquette, they need a good cluexfour upside and learn that (1) I am not their personal draw-o-matic, and (2) I (or anyone else for that matter) am not obligated in any way, shape, form to give them what they want simply because they want it. If my bitchiness hurts their poor widdle feewings, too bad, so sad. I'm no losing a second of sleep over it.

Back in the day I got a lot of kids asking if I'd do shit for them and I'm all like "here are mein prices" and they were like "Oh I can't pay" and I just say "I can't do free shit because it would be unfair to the guys who paid" and if they keep bitching you just don't say anything

Gotta get out of my art slump (I've come down with the flu this week).

girl_next_door_by_dabrandonsphere-d9mcjrs.jpg

I wanted this young lady to have the classic "girl next door" look, placing her in a quintessentially all-American suburb that could very well be near where you live (that is, if you're a Yank like me). She's the kind of girl that the heroes of the old teen romances always struggled to win over, the kind boy bands like the Backstreet Boys or N'Sync were always crooning about back in the 90's. #nostalgia
mailman_by_dabrandonsphere-d9n4si7.jpg

This guy is prepared in body, mind, and equipment to carry out the treacherous adventure of delivering the mail. He will travel to the farthest reaches of the earth, braving all manner of perils, over the course of his quests.

Because you got to admit, mailmen and women are among our civilization's unsung heroes.

The King of the Dinosaurs sure got swag, and always will!

I don’t remember if a particular art style influenced this, but I like to imagine it has a “hip hop” aesthetic to it. It was sure fun drawing a dinosaur in this kind of style!

This is cool. How long does it usually take for you to finish your drawings?

I've been making myself draw/doodle at least once a day, every day. These are a few of the things I've done so far.

I do this a lot when I can't actually think of anything to draw. There's a couple of names and stuff hidden in the mess.

I'm stoned as shit and I decided hey why not draw? That's totally more fun than the uni work I should be drawing for. I've had a verse of Harder Harmonies and the entirety of The Most Beautiful Bitter Fruit by La Dispute stuck in my head for days, so I doodled what was in my mind listening to them.

I kinda like it and of course it had to be drawn on cheapass goddamn copy paper instead of in my proper sketchbooks. Every. Time.
