"Post your Art" Thread

I recently submitted some gesture drawings of random people doing different things at several restaurants for a Facebook group and got second place for this one!

Here's what was said of my drawing from a professional animator (replacing my name with my handle here)...

By comparison, Trilby's simplicity of pose and line here is a real gem. This also tells a story but it does son in such an elegant and minimalistic way that I was actually pulled in two directions here with regards the top placing. Although I finally ended up in awarding Trilby the runner-up position – marginally – I have to say I love his drawing and would happily hang it on the wall of my studio, as a reminder that good poses and good storytelling is not all about detail and intensity of treatment. It somewhat reminds me of the drawing technique of master animation from the golden era at the Richard Williams’ studio in London – Russell Hall – who I think is my all-time favorite artist/animator. Bravo Trilby!

I was playing Skyrim and I wanted to draw one of the characters I played as. It's just a headshot pic.

A collection of 30 minute challenges I did. It's a pretty good challenge to get used to roughing out composition or finalizing a sketch in a given amount of time.

- I used a previously done sketch for the Pearl one and tried to finalize it as quickly as possible.
- The firefighter sketch was made in under two minutes. Mostly messed around on coloring.
- The Spike Spiegel was entirely based on this. Really was just working with traditional inking on it.
- I tried to include a Big Daddy on the rapture piece, but had enough of a hard time getting the bare essentials of the landscape done. Used this as a reference.

Don't worry man you can go to their deviantart and see all their mPreg art there.
I find it more depressing the uploader function here doesn't want to go past a meg before it conks out, I end up having to use an image host site whenever my drawings take up more than a megabyte or two.
