I've been doing some reading, as well as using arts Academy for the 3ds. I'm wondering if that game for the 3ds is actually effective so I can either keep using it or not.

A screenshot of one tiny corner of one tiny map from my infamous (for never getting finished) L4D2 campaign Handfat.

The cave geometry was done by my program planet E. it's basically a mountain, inside-out. With some fiddling I can export to Valve's Source-engine editor Hammer, and from there it's easy to get things into L4D2, TF2, HL2, and many other games presumably ending in 2. I think with proper small animal sacrifices it'd even work with Portal 2, but I haven't tried.

It's a cave full o' zombies, with unfortunately no zombies visible (they're coming up from behind or something) and it's at least as dark as it needs to be (maybe even more, ho ho). I kind of like the gloom, though. Some ancillary geometry sprinkled about was done in Sketchup and Max, textures in Gimp and Photoshop. Be warned, it's kind of big. "Kind of" means 5976 pixels by 1080 in this case; the extra 216 are "behind" the monitor bezels.

Herewith: "Cave Full O' Zombies," from my campaign Handfat:
Click around until you see the full size shot - it's in there, somewhere. I think.

I'd actually think it'd work better in single player oriented games like HL2. L4D2's spawning relies on nooks and crannies that the player can't venture to for AI to spawn (that relies on the player not being able to see them spawn too). Stuff like alleyways that are blocked by debris zombies can climb up on, rooftops etc. Stuff like that.

It's not impossible but it'd be a bitch to test spawning properly. Especially if players wanted to play versus as well.

As long as I'm at it, WHAT THE HELL. Another attempt to get photobucket to show a reasonably-sized image ("reasonable," here means "ridiculous"), so we'll see what happens.

This is a quaternion IFS fractal that took my rig about two hours to grind out. See the spirals that are made out of the exact same spiral, only smaller? This is a chunk of what happens when you run random numbers repeatedly through 4-dimensional hypercomplex affine transform matrices, which impresses chicks because it sounds horribly brain-wracking and exotic so they think you're some kind of genius, but it's really is so simple it's nuts. I like them a lot for that reason.

Damn near every computer game you see these days animates human-type figures (people, monsters, what have you) with quaternions because they get around some of the problems of using Euler angles to define orientation. Trust me on this. (Remember complex numbers from math class? You have the x axis, and the i axis, where i is the square root of -1. Ok, what's the square root of i? And what's the square root of that? Eventually you wind up at quaternions, or begin drinking heavily and ruin your health, lose your career, and wind up in the gutter (usually somewhere in Virginia). So yeah: quats. I love 'em.

^ in Photoshop, just Control+L for levels tool; in GIMP (what I'm using now), no shortcut, but Black+75, White-15

Hadn't drawn my true and honest CWC/Mario recolors for a while, so a day or two ago I drew this and tried to do some different coloring. Sonichu appears to be glowing, but he's not really giving off light because he's just a figment of Chris' (or Cwoomba's) imagination. But I think my coloring was off, idk. Color theory in the dark is a strange thing. Red turns to gray, white glows, all that fun stuff... I need to work on that. It's tricky.

true original interpretation of suicune because I quit caring about what it looks like, and I'm not dealing with those ribbon things on its legs. TRUE ORIGINAL fanfanfan character who would have a love triangle involving comic Chris if Rose3212 wandered her way into CWCville. He needs a name.

Make this a recurring comic, nownowNOWNOWNOW!

since this is a private thread, here's my dA where I intend to try to coach really terrible artists (particularly devart lolcows with benign fetishes, but I won't get into that). Let's keep this hush-hush. Maybe something will happen. Thing is, you can see me get better and better! And yes it contains topics that are popular on dA, like mary sues, little androgynes, and powneez. But lately I've been watching Hoarders and have been drawing real simple and fast, and actually pretty solid. For myself, anyway. I'm really encouraged by FINALLY getting past annoying obstacles like absolutely shit-tacular perspective and manmade objects (animals and plants you can screw up plenty on, and no one will notice)

You'll see some "hints" as to what I'm working on. I hope it'll come to fruition!

And for here, I gave the suicune a name. Quartz. He's my Rose's boyfriend and my Comic Chris' romantic rival. Because cartoon beastiality is funny.

Taken with vivid color camera setting and processed with Picasa. Disused Southern Pacific Railroad machine shop.

Thanksgiving actually kinda sucked for me due to sleep deprivation due to me being sick for over 6 months (it really, really sucks) and my hands getting cold, and my drawing ability for that day backsliding. But thankfully, today should be a bit better.

Here's some concept stuff for the comic I might do (hopefully) for now
